Woah!! We live in Turlock but were in Modesto for a few things. We tried this place out for lunch, and oh my goodness! Favorite new spot. Turlock used to have a great Thai restaurant called Juju Thai, but she retired and new owners have a different style with less flavor. This place is 2x BETTER than Juju was! Pineapple curry & Pad Ke Mao (Drunken noodle with beef) were fantastic. We will be back for sure. Such nice staff too. Thanks Thaiburi! read more

If you like overpaying for reheated food, this is your place. Perhaps they cook fresh food if you are dining in (I've only placed to go orders), but I've only had one decent meal (out of 4) from this restaurant. For my money, this is the worst Thai restaurant in Modesto. I'm giving them 2 stars because my mom likes their crab Rangoon. I highly recommend dining at one of the other Thai restaurants in Modesto. read more

I ate here twice, in June and August 2025. The first time in June was a good experience. The interior is cute, and I think the Christmas tree is a quirky touch, it would be fun if they decorated it differently depending on the month or for a holiday like Valentines and Halloween! For the 3 of us, we ordered pad se-ew, tom yum, bbq pork, and yellow curry. Everything was delicious and we had enough food for to take home as leftovers. I don't remember what we ordered in August, but the food was good too. When I visited in August, the front was run by 2 young girls who looked like high schoolers or maybe college students. They did everything including, but not limited to, seating guests, taking orders, checking up on guests, bussing tables, serving food, taking payments, and to-go orders. I bet there was only one cook in the back trying to cook everything for the late afternoon rush because it took so long for the food to come out too. We were at that restaurant for hours and most of the time we were waiting for our waitress and the food we ordered. We tried being nice about it because it seemed like she didn't have much experience or training, but i want to stress that everything was taking FOREVER. The service was definitely a lot faster in June. Management seriously needs to fix this issue. Honestly, I wouldn't eat here again until the service improves, which is a shame because this is a good spot. read more

Wow... what a gem of a place! My family went for the first time tonight, and I'm already planning my return visit. The restaurant was super clean with a great vibe, the staff was incredibly sweet, and the food? SO good. We ordered the fresh spring rolls and chicken satay to start, and let's just say they disappeared very quickly. I had the Pad See Ew, and it did not disappoint--every bite was delicious. I came in looking for decent food, and I got it. Their pad kee mao is pretty good. Just don't get very spicy otherwise, you in for a good time hissing and salivating. Their Thai milk tea is a little sus though, not sure what kind of milk they use but definitely seems thicker texture which is not normally what I'm used to. Drinkable but probably wouldn't order again. Otherwise, decent place to go once in a while. read more

My husband and I usually go to a Thai restaurant here in town, which we love, but we saw the sign for Thaiburi and thought we'd give it a try since the reviews were good. The restaurant is nice and clean, the decor is very sparse. No problem there. The menu is limited compared to what we're used to, but there is variety and we found what we wanted, so no problem there. We were greeted and seated promptly by a very sweet young woman, so that was great! Our water came in sparkling crystal glasses, which was very nice instead of the usual plastic. The food was absolutely delicious and we hardly left a morsel. We had their Pad Thai, and Pad Prik Khing with chicken and sticky rice. We enjoyed every bite. Also, the chicken was clean with no funky stuff as we have experienced at other restaurants (Thai House NOT included) which is super important to me. We did feel the food service time was on the slower side, but not unacceptable. The friendly service more than made up for that. All in all, we are happy to have a good Thai restaurant close to home, it was a good experience, we left full and satisfied, and plan to return. I posted a review before they opened for seating and was there again yesterday with my boyfriend. The service was excellent, the food we ordered (soup and fresh rolls) were delicious! I always loved pumpkin curry and noticed the addition to the menu so we ordered it. Flavor wise it was delicious and the reason I gave it 4 stars is because when something is the main character in a recipe, my expectations is to have a decent amount of it in the dish. I was quite disappointed to find a minimal amount of very small amounts of pumpkin in the dish and lots of curry broth. Other than that, it was good. read more

Ordered Pad basil with squid, you would think for an $18 dish you would have more than a few rings of squid but lots of bell peppers and onions. Everything is so overpriced. Don't get me wrong, I'm more than willing to pay more if it's worth it, so far, none of the dishes were worth the price at all. The roti came with a meager few pieces and no sauce, probably didn't even weigh an ounce. Pad Thai is ok. All in all, I would never go back to this place. read more

This is by far the most authentic Asian restaurant in all of Modesto. Most Asian cuisine restaurants in Modesto tend to be fusion but I admire how much Thaiburi sticks to their roots. The ambiance is simple but elegant and the servers are very polite. This is my new favorite restaurant and will be coming back often! 10/10 would recommend! read more

Wonderful new thai place! Very modern and calming interior with friendly service! I got the Pad See Ew dish with chicken and it was amazing, my mom got the Yellow Curry with chicken and loved it as well. It's a little pricier than other thai places that I know of, however, I think it's totally worth it considering how large the portions are and yummy it is! The service was horrible. We stood there waiting for a table while the poor girl had 5 tables to bus. After waiting for a while she sat us at wet table and then left us to keep cleaning. We waited a while longer and then left since she was too busy to bring us waters and menus. Went next door to the Indian restaurant and got fantastic service and food very quickly. read more

OMG finally a thai place near my office! I have been eyeing this gem since I started seeing the construction for it . The food is amazing . Decent portions, and very authentic . I was so excited to see the pink drink (Nom Yen) on the menu. It's a nostalgic Asian drink I use to have all the time as a kid. The waitress was excellent and super sweet! The place is beautiful. Walking in, it looks amazing and smells amazing. We were excited to eat as soon as we opened the door. We first ordered the chicken satay, a Thai iced tea and a Thai iced coffee. I didn't get a photo of those because they were so good. We ordered yellow curry and spicy friend rice but also wanted Tom yum soup but they were out. The waitress was apologetic and brought us out free fried egg rolls to make up for it. We didn't ask for anything but she took care of us so well. All of the food was great and the spicy fried rice had a GREAT kick. It was spicy but with flavor that didn't overwhelm the taste. We live 2 hours away but we look forward to coming back when we visit Modesto for Christmas! It was a quick delivery of the food, especially since it has only been open a week! read more

So I had high expectations because it has a cute aesthetic but let me start by saying the waitress was friendly but the space is not wheelchair friendly, the tables are too low.. I ordered fresh rolls which was $14 I thought it was a lil pricy compared to other places and I wanted chicken I even was willing to pay extra for chicken but noo only shrimp and tofu but I still wanted to try it from the pictures of the fresh rolls I seen online they looked good once the witness brought my fresh rolls I had to take another look because.. they gave me TWO not wrap tight fresh rolls cut in three so 6 pieces!!! And I swear they must've gave me only 1 shrimp in each roll because only 4 of the cut pieces had a part of the shrimp the other two were just veggies.. the only thing I liked was the peanut sauce and the aesthetic crazy because downtown I get 6 Fresh rolls, actually 6! My daughter and I visited for lunch. The restaurant is very clean and the decor is comfortable and modern. We enjoyed the fresh shrimp spring rolls, panang curry, and pad kee mao. All dishes were delicious. I absolutely love the variety of vessels that the dishes were presented in, as well as the beautiful floral tea pot and cups. We had lunch at this restaurant and it was phenomenal. I have a deep crush on red curry and it did not disappoint, and was the best red curry I have ever had.
