Side sticky rice and spicy Laarb
Liz W.

Ordered this place via DoorDash. The food itself was good, the fried rice was tasty. My husband said the red curry was decent. The portions are very small. $10 for mango sticky rice and it was a tiny ball of rice. Same for the side order of just sticky rice $3 and a very small side. I know door dash up charges a little so I can't be too upset. If I tried again, I'd just dine in. It wasn't worth the $93 I paid for delivery.

We ordered our lunch from this place and it did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. So good I don't have a lot of pics. The dumplings were flavorful and full of meat . The Basil Thai rice was delicious. The chicken satay on a skewer was flavorful and tender. The pad won sen, noodles were delicious. Everything was delicious, will definitely order again.

Pad Woon Sen combo with beef and shrimp, extra hot. Perfection!

O...M...G This food is F'ing PHENOMENAL! This is my very first experience and I will definitely return. Just Crazy! I had the Wonton Soup, spicy, the Shumai and the Pad Woon Sen combo with beef and shrimp. I added eggplant and basil, Extra Hot. The Shumai was truly delicious, but the soup and the Pad Woon Sen? Lights out. Please visit this place. I need it to succeed. Absolutely worth it.

Now I love my Thai Zapp!!!!! And you know I had to try this location. It was soooooo yummy. I used Door Dash and tried the take out first. The food was plated perfectly and with the same care as it always is. The flavor was spot on. The sauce was just right. Not too much and not to little for the noodles to be dry. Next time I will go and dine in.

Fried bananas

Recently visited after my trip from Thailand because Im still strung out on the food. This food literally tastes like the food I had in Phuket. The staff is SUPER dope, they are very friendly, and Ive had a GREAT conversation with everyone that has serviced me! Its really quiet and calm inside with cool music. I always get the drunken noodles, tea, and maybe a mango sticky rice, fried bananas and coconut ice cream. I will say as someone else did, I expected a bigger portion of rice for the sticky rice but I got distracted because the ice cream was SO good.

Drunken noodles with Beef

Had an amazing experience at our department lunch today at Thai Zaap Express. There is a cute dining area in the back and the drunken noodles with beef were incredible (10 out of 10). Loved meeting the owner and will definitely be back soon!

Sounds delicious! The tofu drunken noodles and coconut ice cream combo has me intrigued, definitely adding this spot to my list.

I read in one of the publications about a Filipino inspired absinthe bar on Bourbon St in N'Awlins…read more(entrance around the corner on Bienville). It was a must visit during my trip to N'Awlins. I had a Pernod absinthe, but I also sampled the longanisa patty sliders and Tatlo's version of pancit. The longanisa was crispy, and nicely seasoned. Likewise, the pancit had moist noodles and a nice flavor. This is bar food, so there wasn't much protein. In addition, I would have liked some lemon to squeeze on top. Tita was a super nice bartender/waitress. A Filipina bartender also stopped by to chat. The remainder of the staff was friendly & warm. Regarding the ambiance, its part of Old Absinthe House. It literally is an old house w/ the restrooms on the third floor. You have to walk up a circular staircase to get up there. I would definitely return to Tatlo (the number 3), the next time I am in N'Awlins. The vibe is chill, and the bar food is very good.

I was skeptical but after seeing some pics of the inside I'd decided to venture on over to bourbon street. I'm so glad I did. The experience as Tatlo was like no other place I've ever been. The decor when you walk in was sexy and vampy. There were candles all over the place and it smelled like Palo Santo and Sage (which I love). At one point there was a woman walking around saging the bar. My server (so sorry I can't remember her name) was sooo nice!! She had great recommendations and she checked on us often enough but not too often. At one point she brought us over a bowl of a dried herb with a candle and a marker. We were told to write down something we wanted to manifest and then burn it with a candle. I thought that was so cool. The food and drinks all had spiritual themes. My friend had the bubble bubble toil and trouble drink and that one said it was for protection. It came in a cool glass that she had to blow into to get the color of the drink to be uniform while the drink bubbled. I had the Florida water which was for energy clearing. It was well made. I really enjoyed it. Then I got the zodiaquiri, which I also really liked. For food we tried the special which was a deep fried soft shell crab dish with a creamy pasta. So good!! The crab batter was flavored to perfection. We also got the synergy dish which represented fertility, abundance, and growth. It was chicken adobo arancini. This was really good. The outside was nice and crispy and the inside was moist and flavorful. The last dish we had was Triquetra which were pork ribs meant for spiritual enlightenment. I also really liked this. The sauce was sweet and tangy and the meat was tender. There was a tarot card reader there so I also decided to get my tarot cards read. I've never done that before but it was an awesome experience. I'm going back next weekend with my sister! Can't wait!

We actually chose it over another, more upscale-looking restaurant nearby because of those ratings. We always like supporting highly rated local spots, so we went in hoping for a great experience. The restaurant is small and fairly simple inside. We were greeted by a friendly staff member who also served as our waiter, and service throughout the meal was polite. The restaurant wasn't very busy at the time. My husband and I eat sushi often--both locally and when we travel--so we tend to order a few "baseline" items that make it easier to gauge quality. We started with gyoza and steamed shumai. The shumai had a strong shrimp flavor but was somewhat soggy in texture. The gyoza was pan-seared but fairly average. Both appetizers gave us the impression they might be pre-made rather than freshly prepared. Next we ordered the snow crab naruto, along with a rainbow naruto that looked great on the restaurant's display screen. Unfortunately, both rolls were assembled so loosely that they fell apart almost immediately when we tried to pick them up. It seemed the cucumber wrapping was sliced too thin to hold the ingredients together. The rainbow naruto especially fell apart as soon as it was touched, and it also had no sauce or finishing element, which made it feel incomplete. For our main rolls we ordered the Rock and Roll and the Po Boy roll. The Rock and Roll was average, and my husband described the Po Boy roll as just okay. We finished the meal with fried banana for dessert, which ended up being the best item we ordered. After dinner we drove back to Baton Rouge (we had been in the area to drop someone off at the airport). On the drive home both of us experienced stomach discomfort, and by the time we got home we both had upset stomachs. I'm still not feeling great the next day, which is unusual for me since I rarely experience stomach issues after eating out. I wouldn't say it was food poisoning, but the after-effects were noticeable. Given the very high ratings online, perhaps we just visited on an off night. However, based on our experience, I can only give it two stars and it's not somewhere we would likely return.

The food was great! We got a couple special rolls and a couple normal rolls. The prices are standard for sushi which is great. Next time we go here we really want to try the bento box dinner. It smelled so good as the waiter walked it over to another table. I highly recommend this for lowkey dates and casual get togethers with friends.

The restaurant sets off cute date or special event night vibes with its trendy, inviting atmosphere. I love how the bar and main dining area are separated- you can either dine at the tables or go next door to hang out for drinks. We stopped by for a late lunch and were greeted warmly by our sweet waitress Mikayla. She was very helpful and patient with any questions we had with items on the menu. Service was stellar A+++ !!! Now onto the incredible FOOD: Bo Ne - filet mignon steak cubes & eggs (10/10): When an entree comes out sizzling & the aroma wakes you up- you know it has to be AMAZINGLY FLAVORFUL & FANTASTIC! Spread the butter & pate on the toasted bread, then use it to soak up all the INCREDIBLE flavor explosion from the sizzling steak & eggs!!! *VOILA chef's kiss* (side note: I grew up in Houston & had Bo Ne fairly regularly & I honestly think Ba Chi elevates this dish to another realm!!!) Curry clams & fries (10/10): I was worried I wouldn't like it because I wanted mussels, which were unavailable. To my surprise, this dish was another great hit !!! The yellow curry flavors were unique - a bit of heat & spice but not overwhelming. Next time, I would ask for the fries to be served on the side so that they stay crispy! We really wanted to slurp down a gallon of the curry- it really was THAT good! Pro tip: get a side of vermicelli noodles (or rice), mix it with the leftover curry & proceed to gobble it all up if you have room left in your tummy! Spicy lemongrass chicken wings (8/10): These were good-sized wings that packed a little punch with the spice! We enjoyed the spicy lemongrass flavor of the crispy wings (be aware that not everyone has a palate for lemongrass- they have other flavors available for those less adventurous eaters). DRINK: Dragon Slay-Her: what a gorgeous & beautiful drink - the dragon fruit margarita was a specialty cocktail I've never had before and I LOVED IT !!! (10/10) Their espresso martini with ube foam is another popular cocktail & I look forward to trying it on my next visit! TL; DR: If you're wanting to FIRE UP and add some PIZAZZ & all that jazz to your fabulous foodie life, then make lunch/dinner/drink plans for Ba Chi! You'll have the best dining experience there with quality food and top notch service! We LOVEDDD & enjoyed our dining experience today!

I've drank a lot of Vietnamese coffee (cafe su da) and the one I got from here has the perfect combination of amount of drink, ice, coffee, and sweetness. I could tell by the color of the drink that it would be good. A taste verifies that it wasn't too sweet (too much condensed milk), too watered down, or have too much ice (not enough coffee). If I could take a gallon of this home with me, I'd be so happy! The shrimp spring rolls were presented well, and had fresh ingredients.
