Great portions and affordable prices compared to CA! It was so good that we almost came back for a second visit. The spice level is true to their scale too, so pick wisely lol Service is prompt and food came out piping hot which was nice to have it fresh. Honestly, I had low expectations given that Asian cuisine isn't really maintream in New Orleans, but to my surprise, everything was bursting with flavor! Some dishes better than ones we've had back home in the Bay. Parking can be difficult as it is on a main busy street. There's a lot of people outside because there's a neighboring bar. Didn't get to try their dessert because they didn't have mango. I'd definitely recommend this spot especially if you're looking for something different.

Love this place! I found it a while ago and think their Red curry might be one of the best in New Orleans. This time we also got the grilled shrimp! It was super fresh and tasty, but the portion size was small for the $16 we paid. We paid $38 total. The food is so flavorful and the mango sticky rice is fire. The restaurant is very small and has only 4 tables max so be prepared if you have a big group to call ahead or see if they can accommodate something. 10/10 recommend!

So glad I finally made it to this Gentilly Gem! From the time I walked in and was greeted with a hug from the host Tommy, I knew that this would be my new spot. My friend has been talking about how good this spot is for so long that I'm glad I finally got to try it. Everything was beyond just good food, this place was just the vibe I needed. Since my friend is a regular there, I trusted her to order for us. We started with the roti bread and crab rangoons. Both were delicious but I especially like the dipping sauce that came with the roti. Then we had the crab fried rice, they did not skim on the crab. This dish was so flavorful and full of crab meat. We also had the special, which was pumpkin curry, I was nervous to try this because I'm not big on pumpkin flavor but whatever they did with this curry made me a believer in pumpkin. It was simply delicious, I'm pretty sure this is seasonal so if you haven't tried it yet, please do so soon! For dessert we had strawberry sticky rice, yes you read that right! When mangos aren't in season Thai'd Up still offers that sticky rice dessert we love, just with a twist. The cook surprised us with Thai beignets, it was my first time trying them and I was thoroughly impressed. They were flaky, crispy, and fried to perfection. The owners Kate and Ryan came out to ask us how the food was, they were so down to earth. Kate told me how she got her start in the kitchen, and I was truly amazed by her story. The food was so delicious I though she grew up in the kitchen, but she's only been cooking for 4 years! They were so nice and by the end of the night we were all taking shots (from the next-door bar jockey's) together. This place is truly special, its more than just great food...this place feels like home/family.

I've been meaning to try this place because it's close my house. I finally made my way and it was just okay to be honest. The Thai tea and roti were good! The pad Thai and spicy fried rice were good but the meat didn't have any flavor, especially the beef.

A cute lil spot to catch a vibrant and delicious lunch! I've been on a Thai food kick lately, so I've been exploring some local spots. Thai'd Up definitely won my heart! The food was beautifully presented, as well as fairly priced. The flavors were bold and classic, and every bite was fresh. Our waiter was super helpful, friendly, and delivered our food out to us as soon as it was ready. My whole party was impressed!

Food ! The food has always been dynamic! Service Ambiance this time took a hit. There were some customers from the bar next door that were allowed to be loud which bother me.

I went to Thai'd up for a late Sunday lunch with my family. It's right next to a sports bar and people were congregating outside--prime people watching if you are facing the door. Before we walked in, we were greeted by the neighbors who were sitting on the porch of a nearby house. I love that. It's a small, casual spot where you can seat yourself. It's the dead of summer, so between the in and out of people picking up take out and us sitting away from the wall ac unit, it was a little warm at times. The server was super nice and accommodating. He brought us a baby seat and water without us asking. The walls have plaques with news stories about the restaurant and some awards for best Thai food in the city. The menu had dishes I expected like curries, noodles, and fried rice, but there were some unexpected things like jalapeño poppers, crab Rangoon, and a dessert they called "Thai beignets." We ordered the Thai tea, chicken wings, veggie rolls, 2 orders of drunken noodles, pad see ew, and the Thai beignets. I found the sauce on the chicken to be more sweet than spicy, but it was still good. I appreciated their flexibility; they put the vegetables on the side of the pad see ew because my nephew doesn't like vegetables. We got to select our spice level for each dish; I really liked that because my mom can't handle spicy food, but likes this type of cuisine. I could tell my sister enjoyed the food because she kept asking for bites our drunken noodles. She liked mine more because I went for level 2 spice. My favorite part of the meal was the Thai tea. I drank it every day on my trip to Thailand, so this helped kick the craving! My nephew said it tasted like ice cream. He is picky, so I'm glad that he tried something new after a little coaxing. He also liked the Thai beignets. They were light and airy, but had a crisp to them. It's fried roti topped with powdered sugar and condensed milk. I can't say they have the best Thai food in the city, but the portion size was decent, the food was fresh, and the price was reasonable. I can see myself going back when I'm in the mood for Thai food. I'd like to try some other items.

I love me some Thai food and Thai'd Up never disappoints. I go to the bar next door quite a bit so it's great to have them there as a food option. They will even deliver it to you in the bar if you want. I enjoy dining in though. I think it's nice and cute and quiet. They always have a great playlist on when I'm in there too. I love a little dining sing-a-long. I love their jalapeño poppers. The heat level is perfect and they have the crab rangoon mix in them. Their calamari is well-battered and well fried. The squid tastes fresh and is juicy under the crunchy exterior. I like both the drunken noodles and the pad thai but I give the pad thai the edge. It's not dry like some places and the flavors are well-balanced. The portion sizes are also good and the price is great!

Authentic Thai is probably the best description. The Tom Yum had the most distinguishable flavors I have ever had - and I have had my share of Tom Yum across the United States. It is not the cream color I was accustomed to, and a tad sweet... and I would absolutely order it again. The fresh vegetables were clearly cut in house and the broth was perfect. Medium heat was borderline hot, which I like. The pad Thai was as it should be - hearty and familiar, with quality noodles and perfectly cooked shrimp (it's not often a restaurant cooks the shrimp right at its apex without overdoing it). Crushed peanuts and lime to add as one prefers were fresh. The servers were polite and attentive. It is a quaint establishment with a very welcome feel. I will be back.

I'll start by saying their prices are very affordable! I was so shocked to see a restaurant that doesn't require an arm/leg as payment, but I was thoroughly pleased at the same time. I started with the roti for an appetizer and it was veryyyy good! One of the best I've had. The accompanying sauce was delicious also, not overly spicy. For the main dish, I had the butter Thai shrimp and added a side of jasmine rice. The shrimp were extremely spicy and very thin -- almost felt paper-like. The rice was super sticky as well which I wasn't a fan of. What's keeping me at the 4-star mark is the exceptional prices and my friends' food being really good! I didn't get pics but they had the spicy fried rice (my favorite) and another had pad Thai. If I'm ever in the area, I'd come back for one of those dishes.

The food was absolutely amazing--bursting with rich, authentic Thai flavors and spices. We chose a spice level of 2, which had a nice kick, but I'd definitely go higher next time if you're comfortable with heat. The service was excellent; the staff was attentive and welcoming throughout. It had the cozy, warm feel of a family-owned local gem. The ambiance was simple and intimate, and you just know when you walk in that the food is going to be fantastic.

Thai food is one of this city's culinary weaknesses, in my opinion. So this restaurant has been a real godsend. Although they don't deliver, it's worth the trip to dine in. The small space is basic, but the service is warm. I ordered the delicious fresh spring rolls served with two sauces, Italian soup with vegetables, spice level two out of 5. But it really had a kick and made my nose run. So be warned about their spice levels! I got pad see ewe because I was in a sweeter breakfast type of mood, and it was flawless. It's a dish so many Thai restaurants mess up or make kind of flavorless. They got the texture on the flavor spot on here.
