It had a bunch of kids sitting at a table (probably the owner and staff's kids and a good sign of a family business). Smelled delicious. Attentive staff. "Hole in the wall" vibes. And in the end, great food! We both got the veg and tofu soup. Light broth but full of flavor. Just enough umami from the broth. Veg was still crisp but tender. I added some chili sauce and overall a really nice cup of soup. My wife got the tofu and vegetables stir fry. I got the beef and peppers (shown). Everything was cooked perfectly. Nice flavorful sauce. Good sized portions. And a spoonful of beef, veg, sauce, and rice? Perfection. Place filled up nicely on a Saturday afternoon. Lots of takeout orders. Thai Villa was a very pleasant surprise. Tucked away in a little unassuming corner it served one of the best pad Thai dishes I've had. Not a large place, not particularly well lit, the owners children were coloring a couple of tables away but the food was great. He got the crab rangoons (small but mighty), the satay (probably the largest portion I've ever been served, and delicious), the pad Thai and the red curry. Everything was served hot and with style. Enjoyed a lovely evening meal of fresh summer rolls, Mixed Vegetables Deluxe with brown rice, and Spicy Basil Lomein. The freshness of the rolls and Thai basil offset the minimal ingredients and taste. However, the Spicy Basil Lomein was packed full of flavor and the medium heat request was spot on. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the brown sauce with her Mixed Vegetables Deluxe that was more of a broth consistency than the typical thick sauce. Both entrees were cooked well. Our service was solid and accurate. The restaurant is on the smaller size; the two bathrooms are separate but share a common space where the hand dryer is located. While in town for business a couple coworkers and I found this hidden gem. Food: Excellent we had some delicious food. I had the chicken spring rolls and the double treat chicken. Service: Excellent, we were greeted as we arrived by a host at a reception type desk, he and our waitress were equally friendly and polite. Our waitress was helpful and attentive. I was not going to cook tonight so I drove around a bit and finally stopped here. There were two large signs on the exterior doors where it clearly states that meals are to go until Sept 26th due to not having servers available (some knucklehead still came in and sat down before being informed of the situation- talk about being oblivious). I went with an order of the fresh shrimp rolls ($6) and beef lamb ($13). Arrived home, opened the lamb and did not realize it does not include rice so lucky for me I have some Trader Joe's white rice in the freezer so I heated it up and made a great meal. Since I am ALWAYS looking to discover a solid new Thai food place, I knew I would try Thai Villa rather quickly. Thai Villa is nestled within a tiny parking lot and you could easily drive right past it , like I almost did! Once you walk through the front doors, you're immediately greeted by Thai decor and you can tell it's a small but cozy place. The servers were friendly and seemed very humble. We really liked the service and the ambiance. We ordered our 2 favorite go-to meals: Chicken Pad Thai and Beef Pad See Ew. My lady ordered her new favorite beverage, Thai Tea, which I introduced her to recently. She's had it at our Favorite Thai restaurant and a couple others so she wanted to compare. Well...Thai Villa's is the best, in her opinion!. Both of our meals were really good and we were pleasantly surprised! The only knock on the Pad Thai was the overcooked noodles (I can't stand mushy noodles) and for the Pad See Ew, they didn't have Chinese broccoli (which is a big deal for me). The crab Rangoon were very good. And so was the sauce that they came with. Not pictured is the Thai tea i ordered that was more milk than tea unfortunate. The pad Thai was alright. This was my second visit to Thai Villa, and both experiences have been very pleasant. If you don't know it is there, you will definitely miss it. But it seems like they get pretty good regular patronage. The portions are always a very good size, and the prices are pretty standard. We started off with the Fried Tofu as an appetizer. Nothing to write home about since it's not seasoned; just go heavy on the dipping sauce. I tried something new this go 'round and got the Double Delight because I overheard someone else raving about it. My mistake for trusting the palate of a stranger. It was decent, but not as flavorful as I would have hoped. Doubt I will get it again. However, I of course sampled everyone else's plate. That Lemon Fish is on point! This is my favorite Thai place in all of Orlando! We've been coming here for years and they have consistently delivered delicious food with good quality. I eat here at least twice a month. I get bummed when they go on their summer vacations to Thailand every year because I have to get my fix from somewhere else...and it always leaves me so disappointed. You can't go wrong with any item on the menu. I feel like I've had pretty much everything. My go to dishes are: any of their curries (green and Panang are my favs), Pad Thai noodles, and any fried rice dish (though Chili Jam is my fav). Their main entrees are really good too...and if I want something lighter, the eggplant dish and the ginger chicken are my go to dishes. The appetizers and soups are pretty great too. The spring rolls and chicken satay are both solid sharing choices. Or to eat alone too! Whatever floats your boat. I like spicy food so they can make any dish spicy or mild. Plus they have a spice tray (when dining in, just ask for it), so you can get real turnt up. I always get the pad see ew and it's made deliciously! Lots of sauce and good flavors. A little pricey but totally worth it.

The pas Thai was just okay, it was overly sweet and had a strong eggy flavor and the noodles stuck together and made a big clump. The summer rolls and peanut sauce were good though! I usually like when summer rolls have more fresh veggies inside though, these were full of rice noodles and one basil leaf. Overall not horrible but I have had better Thai food in town. read more

My family was in town for a week and they wanted to eat Thai food. I search on Yelp to see which restaurant was near by and Thai Villa popped up. I read a few of the reviews and was convinced. This place is very small so I can only imagine how busy it gets on weekdays. We were fortunate as we decided to go on the Sunday for dinner and it wasn't too busy. For starters we ordered the combination appetizers which consisted of crispy shrimp, crab cheese wonton, stuff chicken wings and veggie rolls. Let me just say that if you are a party of 4 this combination appetizer is great to share. My favorite items from the appetizer were the crab cheese wonton and the veggie rolls; they were very tasty. We all ordered different dishes to be able to share. My main dish was mild (extremely mild) Chicken Pad Thai. You can't go wrong with Pad Thai. Lots of bean sprouts, which I love, a lot of pieces of chicken too. The dish was very tasty. My brother ordered some fried rice (I can't remember the exact name of the dish) but it came served in a pineapple. I loved the mix of sweet and salty, as the rice was fried with pieces of pineapple. My dad had fried rice which was also good. My sister ordered the pepper steak which was also very good...and did i mention that the portion are huge? Overall great Thai food and good service. Like the other reviews say, this place is a diamond in the rough. If you are ever in the Oviedo area you have to check out Thai Villa. Pad Kee Mao here is good! Family style serving and good portions! The Mango Sticky Rice was also delicious! Soft sweet sticky rice was buried under a perfect riped mango and creamy coconut cream! The sesame seeds added good crunch and taste to it! The Pad Kee Mao was glistening with the brown sauce Im used to seeing at Good Thai Eats in California ... lots of veggies and noodles! Ghost peppers off of trees and habaneros aren't even hot enough for me so I appreciate this local restaurant not being scared to make it off-the-chain spicy to the xxxxxxxxtreme for me!!!
