We arrived around 6 PM on Tuesday night and were able to be seated right away. The menu offers your typical Thai Classics and we found the food to be very delicious. My friend got the pad Thai And said it was great. I opted for the green curry with chicken. The curry was a little thinner than I'm used to but overall the flavor was absolutely fantastic. The portion was pretty big so I actually was able to bring some home for lunch the next day. Our server was super polite and very nice . Because this is right off of the main road in Winter Park- parking can be a challenge. Thankfully, there's a parking garage That's just down the street off Canton, which makes walking easy.

I forgot to take a picture of my Chicken with brown rice. Very yummy

The food was spot on if you like hot and spicy. This is the place to go to. This is a small family restaurant . The service could be a little better but as a whole, it was pretty good. I highly recommend visiting this little hole in the wall Thai restaurant. It's worth your time.

Cute little place on park ave, we had a great server, but the food just wasn't super authentic and was very salty. There are much better Thai options in Orlando with better prices too.

My husband and I decided to go on a date night pretty last minute and since we wanted to stay in the Winter Park area, I found this place and settled on it. We got there and were immediately sat (we chose outside). Our server, Jen, was the kindest most welcoming person! We truly loved the entire experience. The food was absolutely amazing--no notes! I would recommend this place for date night or just for anyone wanting great food.

Hung out with my son in Winter Park and I was in the mood for Thai. The restaurant is nice and cozy and staff friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the yellow curry with lump crab and my son ordered the duck. He did say the duck was a bit more expensive than what he's use to but I told him you pay for quality. I'm so glad I was right! He loved the duck, especially the crispness in the outside and nice and tender inside. I got to say, "told you so." He said he'd never had it crispy outside like that. My curry was delicious if a little sweet for my taste. I mixed in some rice and it made all the difference. I couldn't eat it all so took some home and I tell you it was even better that evening! They didn't skimp on the lump crab meat either! Definitely visit worthy for Thai lovers!

We stopped in at the Orchid Thai restaurant after visiting the Morris Tiffany museum located in historic Winterpark. We had the appetizer sampler. It was was very good. Nice variety. Service was excellent. For entries we went with the Pararam Chicken and Traditional PadThai both in medium spice level. This spice level was perfect for our Texas palates. Just zippy enough to be interesting. Both dishes were tasty. It was so glorious fall day so we sat outside. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful dining experience at this small restaurant in Winter Park! The ambiance was cozy and elegant -- real orchids on the tables and small light lamps made it easy to see the menu while keeping a relaxing vibe. The menu is moderately priced ($$), and we ordered several dishes to share -- a starter, salad, curry, and a few others. Our friend mentioned that the owner personally makes all the sauces for the menu, which made the meal feel even more special. The Panang curry had just the right amount of heat (I ordered it mild), rich and flavorful without being too spicy. The green papaya salad was fresh but could use a bit more lime for balance. The Orchid Sampler was a great way to try different appetizers -- the rolls, shrimp, dumplings, and curry puffs were all delicious, and our server helpfully explained which sauces paired with each. The Mieng Kump Thai leaf snack was new to me -- light, refreshing, and a perfect palate cleanser. The larb chicken in lettuce wraps paired nicely with sticky rice and was full of flavor. Overall, everything tasted fantastic. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the peaceful setting (only two other tables at the time) made it easy to talk and enjoy our meal. I would definitely come back to try more dishes -- a lovely hidden gem in Winter Park!

We had an excellent lunch here, all three of us really enjoyed our meals and my pineapple fried rice came in an actual pineapple which was really cool. We will come back. The waitress and staff were nice. We also got some fresh donuts for dessert and they were yummy. The only downside was the chairs aren't that comfortable, but they do have indoor and outdoor seating.

Yummmmmm! The food was absolutely EXCELLENT! From start to finish I enjoyed my entire dining experience. I sat outside and ordered a few appetizers. Trying new things my server instructed me on the proper way to eat the Nua Kem ( hands, no utensils). It was amazing, as were the spring rolls, I also had the Mango with sticky rice which was delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming, as I was a solo diner, but they had several couples and groups come and go while I was there. Nicole was my server and she recommended the watermelon saketini which was light and tasty. This place is just one of the many park ave restaurants that make this area one of the best in Orlando.

Cute spot on Park Ave. The service is always consistent and the food is pretty good! I love the curry puffs and the red curry! Not a huge fan of the pad thai.

Whenever I'm in Winter Park and I have the availability, Orchid is my go-to for great Thai. Sadly this isn't as often as I'd like (my husband would agree) but it is such a *treat* when we visit! It's a small spot on Park Avenue (you can make reservations!) but has a great patio out front and some bar seating inside, too. It's not at all stuffy and it's truly an authentic place with great food and service. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu - I promise. I'm a big curry fan and always get mine medium spice (you can always add, you can't take away) and extra tofu or vegetables. Hubby loves the Pad Thai or Panang Curry with beef - soooo good. I love getting the Orchid Sampler if we have a dinner party; you get all the prime appetizers to try and it's a decent size, too. A cup of coconut soup for a start is super comforting, too.

Service & atmosphere are nice, but not my go-to Thai place! I have been to Orchid Thai twice over the past year. I think that this is a nice date spot because it's quiet, it's small, and the lighting is dim. Personally, I'm not crazy about the food. I have not had any negative experiences or bad tasting food, it's just not my favorite Thai place to go to. During both of my visits, I was with at least one other person, and I believe that they enjoyed their food. If you're interested in Thai food, I would suggest giving this place a chance.

We ordered a variety of dishes so we could try a little bit of everything. The shrimp/Salmon dish was amazing. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, the salmon was tender and the presentation with the orchid and lemon slice made it look almost too pretty to eat. The pad thai had that perfect balance of sweet, savory, and a little tangy. The fried rice was simple but really good, with tender pieces of chicken and vegetables mixed throughout. We also tried a few stir fry dishes with chicken and beef that came with fresh vegetables and a flavorful garlic sauce. You could tell everything was made fresh and not just thrown together. We also started with a sampler appetizer plate that had spring rolls, dumplings, and coconut shrimp with a sweet chili dipping sauce. That was a great way to kick things off. Overall the whole meal felt fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The service was friendly and the environment made it a great spot to relax and enjoy dinner with friends. We were visiting Orlando on Christmas Eve, and of course, a stop at our favorite spot was non-negotiable. Over the years, they've remained consistently exceptional in quality, flavor, and service. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed by a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Nothing has changed in the last 15 years and honestly, I wouldn't want it any other way. We were seated immediately, and as always, the service was quick, friendly, and attentive. I always start with the cucumber salad, the Thai chili dressing is absolutely incredible. My all-time favorite dish remains the Crazy Meat, which is hands down the best red curry you'll ever have. It's served with a perfectly fluffy portion of rice shaped like a heart, and the broth truly warms the soul. My husband usually orders the fried rice, but this time he tried the Pad Penang. It's similar to my dish, with a thicker, richer sauce rather than a soup-like broth. He loved it so much that he already plans to order extra sauce next time. For our kids, the waitress confidently recommended fried chicken and rice. I didn't even realize this was an option since there's no kids' menu, but this was some of the best fried chicken we've ever had. The kids devoured it, and we may have snuck a few pieces ourselves because it was just that good. If you're looking for unforgettable Thai food, this is the place. It's part of a long shopping strip with a variety of shops, but they're on the corner and street parking is available. We ordered chicken Thai salad, one of the currys and veggie rolls. The chicken Thai salad was extremely flavorful and so fresh and light, even though I hadn't planned to eat any, it was so good, we had to share.:) I added potatoes to our curry and it was an extra $2 chg. The chef was cute and made our rice mound into a heart. Perfect combo and lots of chicken with the veggies. My only caveat is the veggie rolls were a little mushy and I would pass on them next time. Everything is so flavorful otherwise and it was nice to see real Thai people working there. We learned our waitresses real name, but I'm tired and can't remember now. We chose Tabla Indian Restaurant in Winter Park. In order to find it you walk through a beautiful hallway lined with small shops, pass little ponds filled with large goldfish, and you truly can't miss the iconic big tree at the entrance--it's absolutely stunning. At the end of it all, you'll find the restaurant. Such a charming and memorable arrival. I arrived right as they opened and was the first guest in. Jose welcomed me with the warmest energy and invited me to sit anywhere I liked. When I hesitated, he kindly guided me to his favorite table--which immediately made me feel taken care of. I explained upfront that I cannot eat anything spicy. Without hesitation, he checked with his manager, who came over personally, introduced himself, and took the time to walk me through options. I truly appreciated how seriously they took my concern. He explained that because they often have guests like me, they've expanded their menu to include Chinese and Thai dishes as well--such a thoughtful touch. We ordered crispy garlic naan with raita, chicken tikka masala, and lamb korma. Jose even joked that if it didn't meet my expectations, the mango lassis would be on the house--which instantly made me smile. When the food arrived, I'll admit--I was hesitant... but hopeful. And then -- WOW. It was PERFECT. Truly. If I could've done cartwheels, I would have. I'm still so happy. It meant so much to me that they cared enough to make the experience right. That kind of effort speaks volumes. The chef even came out to check on me, and I had to give him a hug. Everything was just right. The naan perfectly crisp, the raita rich and creamy (not runny at all), and the lamb incredibly tender and full of flavor without any heat. For dessert, I noticed they offered gajar halwa (a carrot pudding you don't always find), and the chef made a special version with rice pudding; it was absolutely delicious. They also have an extensive wine list, and the restaurant itself is aesthetically beautiful, with a quaint outdoor seating area that adds to the charm. I truly cannot wait to go back. Every single person was so kind, and it made all the difference. When a restaurant goes above and beyond like this ... it stays with you.
