Surprise, surprise, I ordered edamame and curry! Because that's what I like! And Thai Thip does both beautifully. Jon ordered Pad See Ew with chicken and it looked (and smelled) beautiful as well. It took me so long to finally visit Thai Thip. It's just a little, unassuming spot, but it's very cozy and relaxing inside and they serve amazing and affordable Thai food. I ordered the Massaman curry (potatoes, carrots, onions, cashews) with tofu and it was soooooo good. Perfectly piping hot, sweet, salty, spicy, and with potatoes cooked to the perfect texture! I also ordered steamed edamame with salt and it while it wasn't particularly memorable, it was good and we ate it all! The staff here is very kind and attentive. You get served pretty quickly! Oh why didn't I try Thai Thip before. Though off the usual route for me, I decided to give it a try based on a recommendation from a colleague. Located in a strip mall, parking is easy and there was no rush during lunch time. They have lunch specials, which include soup and a full menu in addition to the specials. Having read all the raving reviews I decided to try the Pad Thai w Chicken with a spice level of 4 (out of 5). Service was prompt and I got my soup a few minutes after ordering my food. Clear chicken broth with chicken and rice. I could have had a entire bowl... My Pad Thai came out few minutes later and oh boy was it a good serving. More than enough for a lunch dish. The noodles were thin, and the Pad Thai was not too oily. My usual complaint with the protein in some of the Thai dishes is that the meat lacks any flavor or spices. Not in this case. The chicken had absorbed all the goodness and deliciousness of my dish. I forgot to mention that the spice level was good enough for me. I could have gone to a 5 (maybe next time). Located in an unassuming strip mall in a sleepy part of Hurst. Boy, are we glad we didn't pay attention to either of those things. Everything was on point from the shrimp spring rolls to the Tom Kha soup. A "five" level of spice was excellent for the Massaman curry. I can handle heat and it got me sweating, but never lost flavor. We took a slight detour after picking folks up from DFW and are glad we did. We'll be back next time we're in the area. read more

Just a phone call at first was in praise as the guy on the phone was. Very helpful. Yet then it was a mess of a dinner. AN uneventfully dinner; E7 cashew nut delight meat combo. Shrimp and chicken. Combo. Onions, carrots, baby corn, bell pepper, and mushrooms in a light brown sauce. No it was no cashews very little chicken, and lots of cabbage. When I called back to complain I was told oh so sorry they forgot the cashew and the added cabbage to fill the order more so sorry. I explained I was very disappointed. Then she hung up the phone. I called back and got the same girl asked for the manager. She said, I am the manager. Well you hung up on me why? Oh so sorry my phone disconnected with you. Great experience today at Thai Thip. We started with the crispy veggie egg rolls. They came out hot and fresh with a sweet tangy sauce on the side. The hubs had the green curry with tofu with brown rice. The brown rice is a 1.50 upgrade but completely worth it. The rice had a nutty flavor that went perfectly with the curry. The green curry was perfectly spiced at a 3. The veggies the dish were crisp and fresh. I had the cashew veggies. The portion was huge! I got the dish with tofu which btw was perfectly cooked. My dish was absolutely delightful. Lots of chicken, good ratio of noodles to veggies, not overly oily. Offer a slice of lime on the side and a pile of nuts. It was also a TON of food. Love it. Many of my friends ordered other Thai dishes, which they enjoyed. Service: The waiter was very attentive and stopped by our table numerous times. He refilled our water many times and was responsive to our requests. Very good service. Top-notch. No complaints at all. Contributed to making my experience here a 5 star one! Atmosphere: Not too loud or quiet. There are a few tables with room for groups of 8 or less. They had quite a few people pick up to-go orders. It was, however, a little dark inside. I can't believe it took me this long to drive 7 minutes up the road. It's a hidden gem for sure. I love love love their green curry! It's amazing and got unanimous agreement from my family, who are known to be very picky. The portions are massive, and even my dad and brother had a hard time finishing their plates! From Seattle we have great Thai restaurants. We were visiting Ft. Worth for a week and dined here twice. My dad is the pickiest eater EVER and loved every dish he had. He won't even walk into a strip mall restaurant let alone a Thai restaurant. Mix of meat and vegan eaters. Sweet and sour chicken and orange chicken was great. Yellow curry and pineapple curry with tofu were fantastic. Pad Thai with tofu was very filling and flavorful. Spring rolls are great and the peanut sauce hits the spot. Salmon Panang Curry was fantastic. Most restaurants won't even serve Salmon. It tasted really good and the amount of Salmon on this dish was generous. Definitely worth every penny. If you want that kick in your throat when you drink the coconut soup then you came to the right place. I loved it so much I ordered another coconut soup to go. The place itself is simple, hole in the wall type place. Customer service was okay. They are understaffed but accommodating. The food also took way longer than expected. We came here around 9 PM last night (30 minutes before they close) and the staff were very welcoming and looked happy to serve us. The strip it's located in has a lot of charm/character. The overall vibe is casual and chill. My type of place. The wife ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and I got the Garlic Salmon. We also shared a small order of their Tom Kha Soup. Food came out in a timely manner and was hot and fresh. The soup was on point! If you love that coconut/sour/sweet flavor, you'll enjoy this. I forgot to take a picture of it because I was so hungry. We kilt every last drop! The Chicken Pad Thai was delicious. The noodles they use for their Pad Thai here is different than your normal Pad Thai. It's a little thinner. I actually prefer this because it absorbs the sauce a lot easier and doesn't dry out. I love saucy Pad Thai. The Pad Thai here has a nice sweet/spicy kick to it. Definitely one of the best I've had in a very long time. The Garlic Salmon comes with white rice and a medley of veggies on top. The flavor was on point! If you are a garlic lover, this dish will not disappoint. The salmon was perfectly cooked. Nice crispy outside and juicy inside. Amazing. Mmmm...not 100% authentic thai food. But the flavors are close enough! I'd say 90% (the flavors were all there!) I was craving some good thai tonight, but didn't feel like driving out to my normal spot. After a quick google search, found this place...and they deliver! LOVE the website you use to order. VERY easy and straight-forward. Estimated an hour to get here...took an hour to get here. Was hungry, so was getting a bit antsy...but it was estimated. Also love how you can easily choose the meat (or no meat) that you want used in your dishes. The soup was hot and delicious! And at a great price point! (I ordered the shrimp soup...but i think there was chicken in it...no shrimp. maybe it's just the base??) The pad thai was great! The spring rolls (tasted more vietnamese to me) were so yummy and flavorful! (though they were in the bottom of the bag, and were warmed from the hot food on top). The red curry tasted VERY GOOD...but was more "americanized" than I was expecting. Looked like some canned/frozen green beans and green peas. Still tasted good though. (And is something I would totally throw in if I were making it from scratch at home...you know...finding whatever you have on hand to add to the dish). The service I received on the phone and at the door was great. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. We recently went to Thai Thip with some fellow yelp friends, and had a wonderful time! Since there were five of us at the table, we decided to split the appetizer combination plate, which turned out to be super large! Keep in mind most of the apps were fried, with the sole exception of some fresh spring rolls. The rest of the items were delicious, and substantial. I would definitely say you need to share this with at least four people, as we were just about able to finish it. The curry puffs and the little wings were tasty, although the only thing that didn't work out so well was the corn fritters since they dried out a bit in the fryer. I ordered the pineapple duck curry, and was absolutely confident in my decision when the owner exuberantly exclaimed that my dish is delicious. When it arrived it was everything I was looking for, with a good amount of spice (level 4), and lots of pineapple chunks. The curry had a good amount of flavor, but was heavier on fish sauce than other Thai restaurants. The dish was substantial too, so I had some left over for the next day. We wrapped it up with dessert, the sticky rice with mango, and a side of coconut ice cream. The coconut ice cream was homemade and rested on more sticky rice, and was easily the best dessert. We were psyched that two of our friends were experiencing Thai for the first time, and Thai Thip is certainly a great place for first timers and regulars alike. read more

BYOB! This is a small casual restaurant. They have a steady flow of customers, which is always a good sign. I have been here a few times and have always had good food experiences. I usually rate Thai restaurants for their pad Thai, their's is decent, but not my favorite. Their pad Thai had a different noodle than I'm used to getting, they were almost like glass noodles and very sticky. I recently tried their chicken Pad See Ew, with chicken. This dish has flat noodles and really good flavor. It comes with a nice combo of veggies (broccoli and bok Choy). I usually get my food at a level 2 or 3, which has a slight kick to it. They have a tray of different spices on every table, if your food needs more spice. I'm interested in trying their homemade coconut ice cream next time. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant. It's in a strip plaza and we only stopped because not much else was open in the area at the time. For our starters we had some rolls and chicken satay both of which were very good. The peanut butter dipping sauce was spot on. Their Pad Kee Mao was perfectly cooked and had fantastic flavors. The Pad Woon Sen, my favorite was excellent! And if you like Thai hot definitely order it it made the dish even better. The service is a little slow but definitely worth the wait. This is a small restaurant so be prepared if you have a party larger than six. This is also a BYOB establishment. They are happy to bring out one glasses and uncork your wine for you. Beef larb (spicy beef salad) here is legit. The flavor is quite authentic to me, pretty close to mom's home cooking. It comes with all the fixings that real larb should have with the tripe and other parts of the intestines. You can get it raw (kind of like beef tartar) or you can get it cooked. The intestine soup that accompanies the beef larb is also quite authentic and tasty. I have never dine here or been in the restaurant so I can't say much about the restaurant and the service. My sister just always order the beef larb and soup to go for us from here. They also deliver! read more

There's a mirror wall on one side so kinda weird staring at yourself for some tables. I ordered the orange chicken with broccoli. It was served piping hot and easy to tell this was freshly made. Huge portion and house made orange sauce made this plate a winner. Served with a mound of white rice and covered in fresh green peppers, onion and deep fried chicken pieces this was a winner. So good. Friend orders the tom yum soup and chicken pad thai. Said it was really good. Added a Coke and bill out the door with tip was like $16. Totally worth it for how good and fresh the food was.
