Simply Thai is just that Simple Thai cuisine, made well and excellent service. The restaurant is intimate and cozy. I love the size of the tables, enough room to get a bunch of dishes and share. I enjoyed the Thai dumplings and yellow curry with chicken. The dumplings are fried and come with a sauce that's slightly sweet that goes well with the pork. For a Lao girl, this place is not for me. Thai food is just way too sweet and salty for my liking such as their papaya salad, even though I asked for Lao style - they just can't seem to get it right. The large tom yum soup and curry is pretty good though. read more

We moved to this area about four years ago. Since that time, we have tried several Thai restaurants in an effort to find our new go-to Thai place. So far, we haven't found it. Well....now we have. This place is wonderful. We had the pork Spring Rolls, which were good. My wife had her "usual" at a new place - chicken fried rice. I opted for the beef Pad Kra Prao and it was superb! It was all very fresh and flavorful and the requested "heat level" was perfect. Our server was Linnea and she was attentive and very sweet. Kept the water glasses filled - which, as a 3-yr. waiter in college / grad school, is a very high priority. The dining room was neat, clean and quiet. Found this cute place on YELP while visiting our son in Fort Worth. This was our last meal before heading home. We all had the Pad Thai which was deliciously amazing! My only regret was that I wasn't going to be able to finish my leftovers the following day!! Although, our son 'scored' by being able to take home a great amount of our leftovers to enjoy! Recently relocated to the Fort Worth northern suburbs and looking for good Thai food. I ordered the chicle pineapple fried rice and the Pra Ram (chicken and vegetables in a Thai peanut sauce for take out. The pineapple fried rice was really flavorless and the pineapples actually tasted off - almost a little vinegary as though they were past expiration dates. The chicken and vegetables in peanut sauce was okay, but the peanut sauce is definitely not a Thai peanut sauce. Very devoid of any spices or flavor complexión. The only saving grace was the Mango Sticky Rice, which was very light on the coconut milk sauce for the rice, and the mango was extremely ripe. My search for good Thai food will continue. read more

ordered here a few times, and each time was good. I've always placed my order via doordash and choose to pick up. if you know me, i always get pad thai. i guess i'm a creature of habit. This time was no different. i think consistency wise, this pad thai is pretty good. Just the right amount of flavor with each bite. We also typically get the pad see ew, but this time the flavor wasn't evenly distributed across all the noodles. I've also tried the pineapple fried rice and the drunken noodles, and both entrees were filling and delicious. The interior is dimly lit, which is a nice spot for dinner. We live in Dallas but go to church in Keller. Ok food won't be back. I ordered Thai hot and asked several times for fresh Thai peppers or chili paste but no oil based chilies, guess what she brought?!? Oil based! The Thai hot had zero Thai peppers! Just the oil that was swimming in my dish. The peanut sauce different too. Hubby's pad ke mow was dry and had to ask for soy sauce few times. Also soup came out last instead of before entrees. I've ordered from here for about 8 years, but it's always hit and miss with accuracy or service. Last night was another example; after waiting for an hour I was told that they made a mistake and never made my order. They offered to give me a free ($5.99) appetizer and hurry to make the food, which I agreed to, but upon waiting, I realized they sent me home with the wrong entrees. It's frustrating ordering from here because the flavors are so good, but it's about a 50/50 chance that you're going to get the wrong order, not get an appetizer or something else you've ordered (happened to me multiple times), or you get some abnormally small portion size. Despite all of this, the prices seem to keep rising and the service doesn't get any better. I'm done giving them my money and will look for other restaurants in the area that can disappoint me for a lower price. read more

The service isn't the problem here. The HS kids who work there are always nice and attentive. They get overwhelmed at peak hours but have made up for it each time. The food is wildly inconsistent. First time was home run but my last time was a ground out to first. The chef somehow forgot my protein so I was eating just noodles. And apparently the new chef has been forgetting proteins in meals... that's a problem and needs to be fixed. Is there better Thai near it? No. So they win there because keller is a food dessert unless you like everything fried. Is it worth the hype? Eh, if you get the right chef and they make your meal to what you ordered. Yeah, It's good but nothing to remember. It scratches an itch for Thai food but won't have you writing to your friends to go. I really want to support local and this place but my last visit was bad. If you have the time, just go to Haltom and eat at the one of the better spots there than here. read more

My take-out order did have hair in my side of white rice, and the chicken quality was not great- chewy and low quality. I recently found this place and absolutely loved their food. However, the customer service can be better. I stopped in today May 14, 2024 7:11 pm. as I usually do this on my way home. Normally, there's a pleasant young man that always helps me at the counter today. Today there were two young ladies who appeared to be new. As I was awaiting my order. I was looking towards the counter with my mind and other places not necessarily paying attention to the counter. As I was leaving I heard the young lady say she kept looking up here. I placed my order. I did not realize that The summer rolls came with shrimp. The young man that usually works there always asked do I want shrimp or all vegetables. I called back to notify them of this and explain that I'm allergic to shrimp and that I was unaware again that this is how they were made. The young lady apologized offer to replace them, and attempted to hang up in which I stated you didn't ask me my name at that time she asked me for my name. I gave her my name and then asked for hers so that I can reference that I spoke to her when I came back up for the for the replacement. She told me she couldn't give me her name and my name would just go on the wall. I'm huge on customer service and the service dictates whether I continue to patronize the business or not. Until the customer service gets better I'm gonna pass for now. It's unfortunate because I love the food. read more

No onions means no onions It would be one thing if they were busy, but there was literally only two other people, and they're eating. The kids behind the counter were looking at their phones and chatting, they were not busy either. I gave my order, and asked for no onions. It was the only food being prepared. I took my order and left because I had to go back to work. I love that it is BYOB, and if I don't plan ahead, Kroger is right there! For those dishes alone and the BYOB, I would rate it 5 stars. The appetizers I have gotten still somewhat frozen in the middle, which was pretty yuck! Another time, one of the guys working just hollered over to our table asking what we wanted to drink and eat rather than walking to our table. It was strange and pretty rude. The drunken noodles was pretty okay too, but no smell of wok, the tom yum soup was salty, doesn't taste like other tom yum soup ive had before, they put alot of tomatoes in this one. Overall the food was good, but it was extremely slow and there was barely any service. Looks like they cater more to take out orders. Alot of people togo in and out but not alot of diningers like me. Took awhile for food, and no service. Self served water here. Atleat the water taste good. Big fan of the cold water here. I would go again to try other dishes. read more

I came across Simply Thai and decided to check them out for lunch. I went around 12pm & caught their lunch special & OMG!!! The spicy basil was soooo good. Level 4 was perfect for me (spicy but not nose watering spicy lol). The waitress was so sweet and attentive to every one of her tables. I ordered Massaman Curry with medium spice level. The curry had too much thin liquid. There was a good amount of chicken but the potatoes had a very odd taste to them, I can't place my finger on why.
