I see some comments about the cleanliness, and I want to reassure everyone that it has always been clean everytime I've come! The food is reliably delicious. Haven't tasted an off day. Stumbled upon this place while taking my grandma out shopping. You don't expect much from the inside, but man oh man. This food completely exceeded my expectations. It felt like you were eating in someone's home, cooked with so much love and care. The only think that soured me a little was their policy of added gratuity on parties of 2 or more (as the sign said) like I get this if you came in with a large group but this is just forced tips on anyone not alone. I am obsessed with this place HOWEVER staff is not friendly. Even the man who works there who's American not Asian , isn't very kind. I have noticed over the times that I have gone which is a lot. My wife and I have never experienced Thai cuisine, this will be our first! Several of our Yelp buddies joined us to help guide us through all the menu options. Thai Thip was highly recommended and the restaurant didn't let us down. The food and the whole experience was amazing, absolutely amazing. There was 5 of us there to share a meal together. We decided since we all had the munchies to order the combination appetizer plate. Wow, what an amazing selection of appetizers. I am glad there were 5 of us to help tackle this massive plate. Everything was unbelievable. The tempura selections were fried to perfection. There was such a huge variety. We all loved the Spring Rolls rolled in rice paper. We finally got around to ordering. I had been told the "Mama's Special" was outstanding so I ordered it with pork. My wife decided on the Pad Kee Mao with chicken. We decided on the Level 3 heat. A couple of our other dining buddies decided on the red curry. Our entrees didn't let us down. I don't believe I'll ever go back to traditional Chinese. I am now totally hooked on Thai and can't wait to try some more of the menu option along with different Thai restaurants. We capped off the incredible evening with the sticky rice and mango dessert and Thai Thip's homemade coconut ice cream. What a perfect way to end the evening and a perfect meal. Easily the best yellow curry I've ever had. We got a spicy level 3 & it was a perfect medium amount of spice that you would expect from a 3. We also got the pad kee mow. This is my usual go-to thai dish and this place knocked it out of the park. I got a spicy 4 & it was perfectly spicy. We also got a taro slushie & it had the best, authentic tasting boba I've ever had. It wasn't rubbery and hard to chew like most other boba you find nowadays. When out doing errands in a town I am unfamiliar with, I needed to refuel and saw this restaurant. Walked in and sat down immediately. After looking over the menu I settled on massaman curry with chicken and my husband chose the pad see ew with tons of spice. We waited for a bit, comforted by the very friendly and accommodating wait staff. When the food arrived we were quite hungry and ready to eat! Upon digging in I was less than impressed. The curry was thin and lacking in the punchy, complex flavor that I'm used to. Plus, I missed the peanuts normally in a massaman curry, though the cashews weren't bad. The rice was cooked well but the actually curry kind of let me down. It was thin and almost watery both in body and flavor. Surprise, surprise, I ordered edamame and curry! Because that's what I like! And Thai Thip does both beautifully. Jon ordered Pad See Ew with chicken and it looked (and smelled) beautiful as well. It took me so long to finally visit Thai Thip. It's just a little, unassuming spot, but it's very cozy and relaxing inside and they serve amazing and affordable Thai food. I ordered the Massaman curry (potatoes, carrots, onions, cashews) with tofu and it was soooooo good. Perfectly piping hot, sweet, salty, spicy, and with potatoes cooked to the perfect texture! I also ordered steamed edamame with salt and it while it wasn't particularly memorable, it was good and we ate it all! The staff here is very kind and attentive. You get served pretty quickly!
