It has a cozy atmosphere, brightly decorated with aromatic herbs that fill the air. We were promptly seated by a sweet lady. She brought us water to start then hot Jasmine tea and coffee Thai tea. The food is amazing; their curries are house made; Red, Green, Yellow, Penang, Messaman, Pineapple, Duck and Salmon. They also have stir fry, noodles and fried rice as well as soups. Got it to pick up and take home, so I can't say a lot about service or ambiance, though the place is clean and well kept, has nice decorations. The fried tofu and sauce was excellent. I've never tried that, but it seemed like something fun. Lightly crisped outsides, tender bite size pieces of tofu, sauce was a sweet sauce that complemented it very nicely. Big hit at the table! Summer rolls were large and fresh and delicious. Fried pork pot stickers were great, nice and crispy on the edges. Egg drop soup was best I've had, seems like it has more sesame oil than others. A hidden gem! I frequent Jan Thai a lot during the work week. While it may be tucked away and easy to miss you should make sure you do not miss it. The vibe and atmosphere is definitely homemade. You can hear the fire turn on and the clanks of the metal spatula hitting the wok. I have yet to eat a dish there that I do not enjoy. My go to is the Thai fried rice, Thai hot extra extra spicy. What o think really makes or breaks a dinning experience for me is if the food comes out hot. There has never been a time where I have ordered and my food has not burnt my mouth. Needless to say, everything is made to order. When you first walk in you are given the soup of the day, my favorite, egg drop soup. If I am feeling a bit prosperous that day I will order a Thai tea or coffee and it instantly changes my day for the better! The service is always exceptional. Yesterday my husband and I tried Jan Thai Kitchen for the first time and were definitely not disappointed. We were seated away from the door which was perfect since it was a very cold day. I selected the Massamun Curry with brown rice which was the best curry since we frequented Thai Chili in Southlake many years ago. The temperature remained hot and it came with a large glass of chilled refreshing, cold water. The brown rice was interesting looking and an additional $2. I have never seen any like it and it was very good. I chose to mix it into my curry. We did get confused searching for the main door and thankfully they had signs. The driveway is in the rear with ample parking. Make sure to take the left on the west side of the building which looks like an office. read more

Son and I stopped in for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. It's nothing fancy inside but super nice lady running this place. We ordered summer rolls and chicken satay for apps. Both were super. Rolls were really fresh and the peanut sauce was good, I added a little spice to it. Satay was super moist and flavorful. Son ordered pork belly bowl and I ordered basil fried rice. The meat and broth in the pork belly dish was so delish and just the right amount of salty, put it over the rice and you'll be happy. Basil fried rice was also good, and both of our plates came with a spring roll and a cup of vegetable soup, which were each very good. We have several Thai options in Bedford and Jan Thai is up there with Koracha and Thai Thip. read more

Working our way through the menu. We both tried a new and different selection than our last visit. We started with edamame to cultivate our pallet. We ate some of the edamame before the photo. My sponsor ordered the Shrimp - Pineapple Fried Rice. I had the Tom Yum Noodle Soup. The flavors were as good as the presentation. The tomatoes were part of the fried rice not the soup. They are so consistent with their food here at Jan Thai as my food has the same flavorful taste every time I grab takeout from here. Oooh YUM. It's easy to stick to your same favorite Thai spots, but we decided to branch out and order from Jan for the first time. Zero complaints! Jon got the Panang Curry with chicken and it was delicious, but I liked my Massaman even more. I think it has a more unique, sweet flavor. I did tofu with a medium heat level. The spice balanced the sweetness of the sauce, and the tofu was niiiice and silky. There were plenty of cashew nuts and potato chunks as well. I'm finding that I always think the potatoes in curries are undercooked... anyone else? Maybe that's the way it's supposed to be, like "al dente?" They're typically slightly raw for my preference. Oh well, it was still a really satisfying meal with that fluffy jasmine rice. We also got the edamame, which was steamed and sprinkled with sea salt. Edamame can be hit or miss for me when it comes to the texture, but Jan Thai's is perfect. Jon also had the fried wontons with ground pork, which were so pretty and smelled fantastic. I would just like to say that this Thai restaurant is DELICIOUS. My boyfriend and I ordered through doordash. There are so many great entrees to choose from. My boyfriend got the teriyaki chicken (it came with carrots and steamed broccoli and a side of white rice) and I ordered a bowl of Tom Kha, sticky rice, and Lao style papaya salad. I honestly cannot complain about anything. Everything we ordered was perfectly prepared. The Tom Kha soup was hands down my favorite. There was a very healthy portion of shrimp. We saw this place opened up right by our house and had to give their boat noodles a try! We also ordered their combination appetizer plate and chose crab rangoons, fried dumplings, and shrimp roll. Honestly, everything was so good. The Boat Noodles broth isn't as rich as other places, but they do offer pork rinds to serve alongside which takes me back to Thailand. Our first restaurant in 2025 and boy did we choose a scrumptious one! We forgot to take pictures but the food was so delicious! We had the Crab Rangoon's for appetizer.
