I wasn't impressed. It wasn't bad, but it lacked flavor and spiciness. We did get the fish cake appetizer, those were good with the sauce or dip it comes with. The place has nice decor and the service is good. I'd recommend this based off my first visit, but now I have mixed feelings. I wouldn't automatically pass on it. I will still probably give it another try and get something different.

We got the vege pad thai and vege panang curry, and I liked how the pad thai is not as sweet as Thai Thai, and more acidic in flavor. We did mild for the pad thai and medium for the curry and they were pretty spicy! The flavors don't compare to my go to spots in Convoy or La Mesa, so I wish I could give a 3.5 but I can't. But honestly it's decent for being in Santee!

The Pad Thai with Chicken wasn't for me but I tried it and it was good. I ordered Drunken noodles (Spicy Noodles) and I found it to be on the bland side. The shrimp didn't have almost any flavor and I ended up ending some fish sauce and lemon to jazz it up. There were also no vegetables that are listed in the menu in this dish and the only green thing in it were a couple pieces of basil. I order this dish all the time from other places and don't have those types of issues. I almost wonder if I got someone else's order. Overall, 3.5 stars.

The fried chicken was easily one of my favorite things we ordered. It was lightly fried but still had an amazing crunch on the outside, while the inside stayed incredibly juicy and tender. Definitely something I would order again. We also tried the curry, which was really flavorful. We ordered it at a spice level 4, but it honestly tasted more like a level 1 to us. It could have used a little more heat, but the flavor was still really good. The fresh spring rolls were good and tasted fresh. My only small complaint is that they could use a little less lettuce so you can taste the other ingredients more. The peanut sauce that came with them was really good though and made the rolls even better. The service was also great. Our waiter was very nice and checked on us a good amount of times throughout the meal, which I really appreciated. One small detail that really stood out was that as soon as we sat down, they brought out a child's plate and plastic utensils for our young child without us even having to ask. Normally, that's something I have to request at restaurants, so it was a nice bonus and showed that they welcome young children. Overall, we had a really good experience. The food was fresh and flavorful, the service was friendly and attentive, and the little extra effort for our child was appreciated. The fried chicken was definitely the standout for me, and we'll be coming back!

This venue does not seem to be a very big. A portion of the restaurant appeared to be closed off so I could be mistaken. They do offer indoor and patio seating. We came on a warm evening hoping to get some relief with AC but, that wasn't the case and it felt warm in the restaurant even with ceiling fans going. Customer service was amazing! Every food item we ordered was delicious although I did not care too much for their peanut sauce that came with their Fresh Shrimp Rolls. Nor did I care for the sauce that came with the Crying Tiger dish. Their sweet n sour sauce seemed to be your average sauce you can purchase at any Asian market, nothing special at all in my opinion. We ordered: Pad Thai with shrimp - Good flavor and texture of noodles Calamari tempura - loved the fact tentacles were present but, it was a bit over fried. Chicken wings - crispy outside yet juicy inside...perfectly cooked and flavor was good Fresh shrimp rolls - refreshing and good, I just didn't care for the peanut sauce it came with Yellow curry - great flavor, potatoes and carrots were a bit too large for my liking. Their heat level ranges from 1-10. We ordered a heat level of 8 and even at 8, it wasn't that spicy. Classic Thai Fried rice - perfectly textured rice! Good flavor and comes with a lot of veggies Crying Tiger - Steak cooked to perfection, presentation was lovely! Loved all the veggies and the sauce that came on the plate with the entree. I did not care for the dipping sauce unfortunately. If in the area again, I would definitely return to try more of their dishes!

This was definitely enough food for all of us with some leftovers to go. We all thought the Crab Fried Rice was the star, definitely very flavorful and the dish that stood out for us. There was actually a lot of crab in it which was great! We had asked for all dishes to be mild because one of my friends has a sensitive stomach, but I think the peppers in the Pad See Ew were actual spicy peppers and not just green bell peppers so that dish still had a kick to it. Overall delicious meal, my only gripe is that they packaged everything to go even though we said we were eating there, so with the small tables it was hard to find enough space for all of our food/tops and such. I guess that's an easy way for us to pack the leftover food to go though, so I understand why they do that.
