Chicken pad thai and mango sticky rice
Jenny P.

Ordered through door dash food was warm, fresh & delicious. Very happy with the service.

01. Chicken Satay

The item I ordered on the menu in the store and even at the counter when asked about vegetables, she says yes vegetables included. From the picture you can see there are no vegetables and when I call back, she argue with me telling me that's old menu new menu no vegetables. Chicken satay ice cold, dry and inedible. Orange chicken nothing but pieces of breading and dry inedible meat. Call back to request a complete refund at 7:35 PM and they told me they are closed. Come back tomorrow.

So today we were in the mood for some Asian cuisine and what better place to go for lunch... Asian Kitchen yes everything is Asian. It is not Chineese, Vietnamese, Thai, and even Korean it is just Asian. Once can get chicken satay, drunken noodles, beef yum salad, yum woon sen salad, and papaya salad just to name a few of the selections. There is plenty of parking and when allowed there is plenty of indoor seating. It is safe to surmise that they only do take out as I didn't see the place set up for outdoor dinning. during this particular visit my friend and I ordered Hot Basil Stir-Fry and Pad Thai Noodles. They order is made fresh and it tastes so good that I wanted to order more types of food but I just didn't have enough time during my lunch to put in another order. In my opinion you can't go wrong ordering from the menu, we have been trice and every time we were never disappointed. Come on down and support your local restaurant whenever in Santee.

First is the guy that serve me is very friendly and welcome me in. Awesome delicious Chicken Satay! Yum! Their mango Sticky rice is yummy too!

Pad thai to-go was delicious and very well presented, and crab puffs were delicious as always. Service is great as well.

Fried Rice

The food here is so good! It was my first time going, and won't be my last. The food portions are giant but SO worth it. I had already eaten part of my fried rice and all of the Vegetables fried spring rolls before I took the picture haha! The people here are SO friendly. Seems like a family ran restaurant. They were so all sweet and so friendly! It is connected to their donut shop this looks absolutely amazing as well! They had music playing and the restaurant was so clean. It was a great choice. 1,000x recommend.

I ordered to go. Great service. Food was delicious and well packed. The egg rolls are tasty and crunchy. The mango garlic stir fried beef is amazing! I highly recommend this place.

Came here once before in the morning before work just to grab a coffee, and the lady of the Bagel/Donut bar was really nice at the time. Came back a second time, total opposite. Kept stressing to me "she has a big order". It was to the point where i ordered a coffee and she was giving me attitude when i asked for half & half. You do realize that no matter how busy, if you have a paying cusotmer who wants to support a local business, at least give us some respect. Oh and the bagel with cream cheese i ordered only had it on one half!!

Papaya salad with shrimp added.

Fantastic. Had some time to kill so I walked here and ordered the papaya salad and added shrimp. I got a spice level of 7 and it was plenty spicy. It was refreshing, spicy, sweet, sour, and delicious. I would get again. Service was friendly and fast.

What a rip off this place ordered Thai papaya salad hardly papaya inside only romance leaves first time and the last time here.
Pam N.

What a rip-off this place I ordered Thai papaya salad and hardly any papaya inside only romance, first time and last time here.

What a surprise! Didn't expect to find such good Cambodian and Thai food away from University Ave, but here they are in Santee! We tried the Phnom Penh noodles, Cambodian beef skewers, and cha katna (Chinese broccoli with chicken), and we were impressed! Great quality and flavors, very authentic and fresh. Those beef skewers are so juicy and flavorful. The noodle soup was packed with fish balls and pork meat (no organ meats which I'm fine with ) and the broth was clear but packed with flavor and condiments on the side to add. The Chinese broccoli was perfectly crispy and the sauce had lots of garlic and a nice kick of chillies. The people are so nice here too! We definitely will go back to try more.

Menu for Happy Hour: everyday 10:30am-2:00pm

My wife enjoys the special soup. So much that she plans detours to Santee since we discovered this restaurant a few months ago. But she is upset that the soup rings up for a $1 more than listed on the menus posted in the window, on the menu board, and on the counter.

Pad Thai with hair.

Place is clean and comfortable, food and service were on par. More of an Asian fusion place.

The tables well spaced out and even counter seats if you want a quick bite. Ordered one of the best sellers, Nam Khao Tod which was impressively full of flavor with crispy coconut rice, sausage, ginger, onion and scallions, holding off on the peanuts due to food allergies which they graciously accommodated. Served with plenty of lettuce. Our second dish was the Hot Basil with chicken. Very aromatic with fresh basil, onion, peppers and tender chicken, served with steamed rice. We came at 730 on a Sunday and didn't get our food until 5 minutes before they closed (856pm) We got the Nam Khao Tod and the Khao Soi They were both excellent. Nam Khao Tod - excellent with a wonderful use of ginger! Everything was so perfectly fried. All the bites keep you coming back for more Khao Soi Chicken - incredible. Possibly best khao Soi I've had in San Diego! Excellent yellow curry (mild spicy) that perfectly compliments the crunchy and soft noodles. I love the generous amount of red onion in the bowl! Pro tip - get extra pickled mustard greens. The portion sizes were big and the staff was friendly but there is no excusing the wait. My wife and I are deeply in love so we weren't bored but it seemed like they were prioritizing the online orders over the customers. Not cool. If the service was faster it'd be my new favorite Thai restaurant.

It's tucked away in a corner of an often packed parking lot but worth fighting for a spot. Staff is warm and welcoming! They were patient enough to explain items on the menu that sounded foreign to me and also any modifications. I didn't try it this time but their vegan menu is huge which is a plus for my plant based friends. For a drink I got the calamansi sugarcane drink. So good! The calamansi has that tartness that pairs well with the sweetness of the sugarcane. We ordered a couple apps, the crab wontons and beef skewers. Both were delicious and enough to share between the two of us. The mains: Beef drunken noodles- even at its most mild level prepare for a little bit of a kick! Really can't go wrong w drunken noodles but the waitress mentioned this and the pad thai are their most popular noodle dishes Hot Yai fried chicken- 2 leg quarters that had a delicious sprinkling of fried shallots. It's not breaded how you would think fried chicken would be. Comes with that flaky roti bread (so good) and a side of green curry. The rice shaped like a heart was a cute touch. The dessert is not on the menu but they do offer it. We got mango and sticky rice, and it was the perfect ending to our meal. The rice is also flavored with pandan for that extra bit of flair. I loved this spot and will definitely come back again!

At first, she said the order only could be done on 1 bill. And then later she compromised with 2 bills, 5 people per table. That was nice of her! I just had 2 coffees before entering so I decided to skip ordering Thai tea. But they had a large drink menu, of fruit teas and more. My friend had the lychee tea which was very large and looked super refreshing! They also came by often to top off our waters which was nice. To eat, I ordered the $16.99~, Cashew Chicken Stir Fry with White Rice. It came with onion, green onion, carrots, zucchini, bell pepper, and cashews. The carrots were beautifully cut, but a little too crunchy for me to properly enjoy in the stir fry. Everything else was delicious! I think this could definitely be shared between 2-3 people. It was a lot for me, even after a large hike. The sauce was flavorful and not overly salty. I didn't ask for any spice level, but I think I'd choose mild or medium next time. My friends ordered-- - $12.99, Dirty Fried Chicken: This had a blitz coating of lime, mint, and spices. And it was decorated with thinly sliced green onions with a side of sweet chili sauce. The chicken was hot and plump, not dry, and very much mouthwatering! Would recommend. - $14.99, Thai Grilled Chicken Salad: Grilled Chicken Breast on a bed of mixed green salad, carrots, and cucumbers with peanut dressing. It reminded me a little of chicken satay~ it smelled and looked incredible. I think I might order it next time, when I want something light and fulfilling after a hike. - $11.99, Cream Cheese Avocado Wontons (6PC): These came out piping hot and when you took a bite they were oozing. It was very creamy and when you dip into the plum sauce it's a delectable bite. A nice appetizer to share with the table. - $16.99-$19.99 (depends on what protein you get), Pad Thai: This proportion was manageable for one person. The restaurant used thin rice noodles, but it didn't clump excessively compared to other restaurants. The prices are what you'd typically see at a Pan-Asian restaurant, a few dollars more than what you'd want to spend. But these kinds of restaurants, in my opinion, are for enjoying with others. So, if you're sharing food and all that-- the price is worth it (esp with the quantity that is given). Next time, I would probably order one of their noodle dishes rather than rice. Oodles by the Noodbar has such a large and diverse menu so I would highly recommend coming in to try them out.

You can either make it family style or have one entree for yourself. One entree is plentiful for one person. Sour: our most recent experience there were some slight changes like the texture and taste of the salty pork. It seemed like it was cooked healthier as it wasn't nice and crispy as usual. The size of the dishes are still the same more on the small size but higher cost. The food is not quite the same as it used to be but it is still pretty good.
