On this visit, I ordered the pho with filet mignon. My soup was delicious. The meat was tender. It was served with fresh basil, jalapeños, lime, and sprouts. Had high expectations when coming here but customer service was lacking and food quality just wasn't very good at all. Never had deep fried steak skewers before and to put Khmer next to it was an insult to Cambodia. Should be grilled and didn't know there was another way to cook them(ruin a good thing). Once can get chicken satay, drunken noodles, beef yum salad, yum woon sen salad, and papaya salad just to name a few of the selections. There is plenty of parking and when allowed there is plenty of indoor seating. It is safe to surmise that they only do take out as I didn't see the place set up for outdoor dinning. during this particular visit my friend and I ordered Hot Basil Stir-Fry and Pad Thai Noodles. They order is made fresh and it tastes so good that I wanted to order more types of food but I just didn't have enough time during my lunch to put in another order. The item I ordered on the menu in the store and even at the counter when asked about vegetables, she says yes vegetables included. From the picture you can see there are no vegetables and when I call back, she argue with me telling me that's old menu new menu no vegetables. Chicken satay ice cold, dry and inedible. Orange chicken nothing but pieces of breading and dry inedible meat. Call back to request a complete refund at 7:35 PM and they told me they are closed. Come back tomorrow. read more

We ordered a yellow chicken curry which proved just right for two. It contained chicken, potatoes, small slices of carrot, and onion. It was good. I specified 6/10 spiciness, and the person taking my order said, "oh, spicy"; but I did not think it spicy much. We also got an order of pork potstickers. They were good but unremarkable. What a surprise! Didn't expect to find such good Cambodian and Thai food away from University Ave, but here they are in Santee! We tried the Phnom Penh noodles, Cambodian beef skewers, and cha katna (Chinese broccoli with chicken), and we were impressed! Great quality and flavors, very authentic and fresh. Those beef skewers are so juicy and flavorful. The noodle soup was packed with fish balls and pork meat (no organ meats which I'm fine with ) and the broth was clear but packed with flavor and condiments on the side to add. The Chinese broccoli was perfectly crispy and the sauce had lots of garlic and a nice kick of chillies. The people are so nice here too! We definitely will go back to try more. read more

Yes!!! Pad Thai, chicken egg roll and egg drop soup. Delicious flavors. The pad Thai was so good, big serving. The chicken egg rolls were crispy on the outside and a burst of flavor inside. Burned my mouth. I could eat them all day. The egg drop soup needed just a little more flavor, but soy sauce and sriracha took care of it. We need to support this business and keep it open! I stopped by last week after a trip to Best Buy, since there was no line, I thought I'd order the wings. PERFECTION! Garlicky, crispy, meaty, moist, full seasoning and fresh sautéed onions and jalapeños. I couldn't wait to try more after this sample. Tonight I called in an order of pork potstickers. AMAZING! Best I've ever had, and my 11 month old is a huge fan as well. I also ordered the yellow curry. Everything I've ordered has been a healthy portion, enough for lunch tomorrow. I don't know what happened to this place, but today was the first time I'd been in since the conjoined donut shop went out of business. The food quality has Tanked! I ordered mussaman curry and the sauce was Very thin and watered down to the point I could barely taste it, and the beef is not what they used to serve, now it's some thin flank steak or something yet they still charge more for beef. I had gotten an order to go, so it wasn't until I'd gotten home that I opened my sweet and sour dipping sauce for my sampler, and it was congealed and in the shape of the cup it came in. Wow, talk about sitting in that same cup in a refrigerator for Weeks! The fried skewered chicken was way overdone, and the cream cheese wontons were the laziest wontons I've ever seen; not all pinched and gathered in the center like you'd expect, just folded once in half. Odd, but what was even more odd was that even though I was the only one in there sitting at a bench designated for waiting, with only two other people in the place, the lady caled me up when my food was ready and then asked me to show a receipt to get my food even though she never gave me one. And she acted like me not having a receipt was gonna be a problem, when the place was practically empty and we both know she knows who paid for that food. Whaaat??!! Then as I'm leaving, hand on the door to push it open, she calls me back to tell me she forgot to include the chicken skewers. So then I waited longer while she over cooked them for me.... Ok so reason for my score is because the dishes lacked flavor. Food just didn't have that jump for Joy taste like you expect when consuming Thai cuisine. I most likely wouldn't order from here again because I didn't enjoy eating plain noodles. Really great new Asian spot in East County. Specifically they serve Thai & Cambodian food. We ordered the Mongolian beef, crab fried rice, and cream cheese wontons. Everything was pretty good. Not the best we've ever had, but would definitely go back if in the area. It was overpowering and off-putting. The donut shop in the same building is good.
