Service was great! I ordered the yellow curry after the waitress said they make the curries fresh once it's ordered. Not sure why this place doesn't have more stars. Will definitely be back.

What a great little Thai spot! The restaurant was clean and the service was very friendly. The food was amazing, I had the fresh rolls which were big enough for 4 people to share. For my entree I did the Rama. It was such a large portion! So good! The peanut sauce was amazing! Great experience, I will be back again!

Service was great and attentive. Food was pretty average. Ordered the Beef pad Thai -Thai Hot but wasn't spicy at all. The Thai tea was good, but the mango for dessert was not fully riped.

I would've done 5 stars, but I had to take away some points just because my mild dish tasted medium. Good thing I order mild just in case medium ends up being hot. It was so delicious and I was glad I ventured out to try a new dish!! Made with their house special secret sauce, the menma noodles were tasty and satisfied my Thai craving. I got beef, and it made me think it must've been the best meat to go with the sauce, because the flavors melded together perfectly. As I'm really picky with Thai food, I was nervous about venturing out. This is my first time here, but I'll definitely be back. I got my order to go, but when I went inside, the restaurant was small and cute! I was greeted with a hello and a smile by the worker who immediately assisted me with my order:) it was a great experience.

Wasn't too sure about trying this place out due to other reviews. Cute little spot in DuPont. We were quickly greeted and told that our food would take at least a half an hour due to to go orders just being placed. Normal Thai restaurant fare on the menu and claims of Thai spicy as a heat option. Decided to go with the Massaman Curry (Thai Spicy)and some Pork Fried Rice (Spicy). Food came out faster than thirty minutes. Curry wasn't great. Lacking depth, spicy--but not super spicy...but it was the chicken--not sure what it was exactly, but did not taste fresh. My son ate his fried rice without complaint. Both dishes were super heavy on the onions. I love onions, but just seemed to be a lot of onions. The lime that came with the fried rice had a weird taste to it--not fresh. Service was good...can't complain about that. Waiter was eager to offer recommendations although they were generally based off of "what are you in the mood for"...which may not help some people. But he was friendly and nice. Many better Thai restaurants in the Puget Sound area. I more than likely would not return.

My 10 year old daughter and I decided to try something new for lunch today. Neither of us very familiar with Thai food. The lady/waitess telling us has been wonderful, she took the time to answer our questions and guide us to meals she thought we'd like..... and she was right!! My soup is amazing!! My daughter loves her meal too!! We'll definitely be back!!

This place is so cute. In the heart of Dupont, we've stumbled upon this eatery. If you're concerned about the price don't be as the portions you get are huge! They will accommodate your food order if you are vegan/vegetarian or gluten free. Ms. Lent, the owner was so cute. She came out of the kitchen to converse with me because I ordered a vegan pad kee mao 8 thai stars spicy she was the sweetest. Her son was also very friendly and overall a pleasant family owned business. Thank you Thai Taste for our delicious lunch Ps. They support the military which is awesome

A LOT of life has happened since then, so we definitely had plenty to catch up on. Neither of us had been to Bloom Thai before, but we both love Thai food, so we decided to give it a try. This place is definitely different from any Thai restaurant I've been to before. It's super small, with only a handful of tables. You order at the counter, grab your number, and find a table. They also have a big jug of cucumber water that was so refreshing! They didn't have my usual yellow chicken curry, so I decided to try something completely different--the drunken noodles. I honestly had no idea what I was ordering, but OH MY GOSH... I was in love with this dish! The flavors were fantastic, and they topped it with deep-fried basil. I'm not even kidding when I say I think I've dreamed about that crispy basil every day since! It was SO good! The food was definitely the star of the show for me, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I think this is such a fun little spot to meet a friend for lunch, especially if you want somewhere casual and different. That said, it is VERY small, so I personally wouldn't choose it for a family dinner with a bunch of picky eaters or rambunctious kids. The menu is also a little different than your typical Thai restaurant, so definitely keep that in mind. For dinner, I'd probably order it to-go and enjoy it at home. But for a girls' lunch or catching up with a friend? Absolutely! Great little find, and I will definitely be back for those drunken noodles and that amazing fried basil!

The husband, who was serving, checked in several times to make sure I had everything I needed. The chef also stopped by my table when she came out of the kitchen, which was such a thoughtful touch. The pork belly was very crispy(an additional fee), but too salty for my taste. The Pad Thai was good, although not the best I've had. The noodles were cooked well, and I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. It did not come spicy, but chili sauce was available to add some heat. The spicy omelette tom yum soup had a great balance of mild spice and sourness, and it tasted very authentic. The texture of the fried omelette after soaking in the soup was not my favorite, but that may come down to personal preference. The Thai iced tea had a good balance of tea and condensed milk, although it was sweeter than I prefer. You order at the counter, and the food is brought to your table afterward. Water is self-service. They also have a helpful sign explaining the ordering and seating process for first-time guests. The restaurant was very clean, nicely decorated, and had a great ambiance. I especially enjoyed the small area showcasing the chef's history and journey. Overall, the warm service and welcoming atmosphere made the experience memorable.

This was our third or fourth time eating here, and it has become our go-to whenever we're in Olympia or Lacey and craving Thai food. We were the first table of the day, so we were greeted and seated right away. I also have to mention that the restroom was spotless and smelled nice, which is always a good sign when you walk into a restaurant! I get the same thing every single time...the chicken yellow curry, which they call "My Woman Curry." I still find the name hilarious and interesting! I always order a spice level 3, and for someone who loves spicy food, it's exactly what I want. It's spicy enough to have a kick but still packed with flavor. Not the kind of spicy that just burns your face off and overpowers everything else! My sister-in-law got the duck curry, which she absolutely LOVES, and she ordered a level 2 spice, which she says is perfect for her. Sean got the same curry as me, and our daughter got the beef Pad Thai with a level 3 spice. For an appetizer, we shared the chicken satay with peanut sauce and the cucumber salad that comes alongside it. That cucumber salad is so good! It has a delicious marinade that pairs perfectly with the spicy food and gives you that cool, refreshing bite in between. The service is always friendly, the restaurant is clean, and I really like the decor and atmosphere. It's just a great little spot for a flavorful Thai meal. If you're in the Olympia/Lacey area and craving Thai, definitely give Esan Zap a try. We'll keep coming back!

I got a 2 on each and could have gone higher happily, but the lady said the spoons of chili flake double with each 1/2 level up! I can't wait to return and try some of the other dishes I've never seen on another Thai menu in this area. Follow up... the servings were plenty for me to have lunch, then split the leftovers w hubby following day and still have leftovers. Interestingly the spice level on the leftovers was less than half the initial spice level. Not sure what that was about!

The sauce is perfect - not too sweet and not too salty- just the right balance of flavor. They're…read moreclose by, we've always enjoyed the food, and we've had great experiences both dining in and ordering from them over the years. Since the whole family was working late, I decided to splurge a little for an early Father's Day treat. While placing the order, I remember thinking, "Man, we NEVER spend over $100 on takeout." Usually if we're splurging, we go somewhere that gives you a lot more food for the money. I was genuinely excited because I ordered many of the same things we've enjoyed when dining in. But wow. And not in a good way. The portion sizes were shocking. The egg rolls looked more like lumpia. Two tiny ones cut in half for $10? The fresh spring rolls? One roll cut in half for $10. And its 97% cabbage. The larb salad that cost nearly $20 wasn't even enough for one full serving. It came with what was basically a tiny sliver of lettuce, maybe an inch thick if I'm being generous, and what looked like about a half cup of protein. For twenty bucks, I honestly thought there had to be part of the order missing. I've been going there for years, both dining in and ordering takeout, and I swear you get at least double these portions when you eat in the restaurant. I understand food costs have gone up. We all know that. But this felt excessive. I chose Pattaya Thai because my husband works incredibly hard and deserved a delicious Father's Day treat. Instead, I spent over $100 on takeout that couldn't comfortably feed a family of three. The Pad Thai was delicious, as always. No complaints there. But for the price versus quantity, I left feeling disappointed. I've always enjoyed Pattaya Thai, which is why this was so surprising. If you're considering takeout, you may want to think twice and make sure you're comfortable with the portions being served for what you're paying. Just being honest about my experience as a longtime customer who's enjoyed both dining in and takeout over the years.
