Honestly, a solid spot for Thai food with plenty of vegetarian/vegan options. My only concern is the cost for my takeout portion today. I ordered vegan green curry with tofu, and my container was very sparse. The beef drunken noodles had a lot more food despite both of the dishes being the same price. Additionally, my curry was not spicy at all, even through I asked for 4/5. The taste, however, was excellent! There was a good amount of tofu and vegetables in the curry. I was pleasantly surprised by the bag of wonton chips that were given to us. The service was wonderful as well, the lady taking my order was so pleasant and helpful. We were in the mood for Thai and found Thai Stellar to be nearby and well rated on Yelp. We were not mislead. We arrived on a Saturday just after they opened; we were the first customers. The server was so nice and took great care of us. We started with Egg Rolls made with minced pork, glass noodles, shredded cabbage, and carrots rolled then deeply fried and served with pineapple sauce. I can't say if they were freshly made or purchased in a big ol' box, but I can say they were absolutely delicious! The pork was very well represented, which leads me to believe they may have been made in house. The pork was the leading flavor and the sauce was a perfect match. Mark had Drunken Noodle - soft wide noodle with bamboo shoot strips with mixed veggie, egg, and basil stir-fried in fresh chili garlic sauce. He said it was extraordinary. Leftovers eaten cold were still delicious. I ordered the Mussamun Curry with Tofu served with rice. It was a lot of food and it was so very good. On a heat scale of 1 - 5 I asked for a 2. It had a nice kick, but was not spicy hot. I could have gone to a 3 and maybe, but probably not a 4. I, unlike Mark, am not a huge fan of spicy food. I do, however, appreciate spiciness that adds flavor rather than heat for heat's sake. Cold leftovers of this meal were also delicious. Oh... the iced tea. Yes, even the ice tea was outstanding. Mark insisted I try it and wow! There was a distinct, yet subtle flavor of clove. Very unique and refreshing. And here's what earned a five-star review. They offered Mark and iced tea to go. This place was amazing! It's a smaller inside. Maybe 8-10 booths and a couple of tables. I love the inside, especially the chalk mural that tells their family story. The service was amazing. Our waitress was very attentive and service was amazing. 5/5 Now the food, everything was spot on. We got the Drunken Noodle (combo meat, level 3 spice) and the Panang Curry (Combo Seafood, level 2 spice). Everything hit the spot! I mean everything. The spice. The seasoning. The texture of the noodle. The consistency of the curry. This is the 4th Thai food restaurant I have been too and it was most definitely the best. Very, very deserving of its name. The League City outpost of this fine eatery is as equally great as its NASA Parkway counterpart. Thai River, its predecessor, was seemingly underwhelming. Or at least that was what I took away from the plenty negative reviews I read. So, when word went around that Thai Stellar was coming to take its place, it sounded like a sigh of relief. Having dined at the original Thai Stellar, my expectations and interest were high entering the premises. I was at the mercy of a cold so I was hoping to eat something spicy. Enter the Panang curry. To borrow from my previous review, I was sold on the freshness of my meal. It was piping hot and the aromatic flavors ignited my tastebuds. Chicken was nicely cut and doused. I just wish there was more rice for the curry. Oh, wait. I should've talked about the Tom Yum soup first. Paraphrasing the menu's description, it's a spicy lemon grass base with mushrooms. I got chicken to go with my soup because under the weather. And just like the curry, my tastebuds got a positive blast of heat. The accompanying salad was a nice surprise. The kids and I ordered to go from their 646 and Gulf Freeway location in League City. Very friendly lady helped me with the order. The pad thai was delicious, and I think I can handle a bit higher spice bext time. My son had shrimp fried rice and daughter had tofu fried rice. They must have liked it cuz there wasn't much left. We will be back. I have to say, I go to First Watch for breakfast amd did not know Thai Stellar was just on the other side of the building. Maybe need to get the word out even more. So the wife and I have ordered here before and food was great from what I remember. Unfortunately this time, not so much at least for myself. We ordered drunken noodles and green curry with chicken. Drunken noodles looked and taste how they should and that's where it ends. The green curry was completely drowned in oil and the sauce itself split. So the tastes and textures of the curry weren't there. And on top of that the chicken just tasted like nothing l. Most likely due to the fact they are just covered in oil. Hopefully if we try this place again there won't be issues but if this continues I will obviously lower my rating. read more

Gave this plays two tries and get not get on board. Ordered online and it gave no option for ordering spicy so I left in the comments to make it spicy. None of the 3 entrees had any spice. The pad see you had no flavor, the pork larb also had no flavor and the ground pork tasted like the meat was boiled, and we had to put our own seasoning and spices on the fried rice at home.
