Full of flavor and very tasty. The sauce that came with them was so good. Next main course. I went with the drunken noodle and it was absolutely amazing. The beef was tender and had so much flavor. So many vegetables with flavor oh my God it was an amazing meal. My girlfriend had the sweet-and-sour chicken and let me tell you what it was absolutely amazing. I've never seen that dish on any other time menu before. The sauce was exceptionally good. We also got some dessert which was the deep-fried banana with ice cream. Oh my God absolutely amazing. We ordered the Peany Curry, Pad Thai, and Drunken Noodles & all were served with Tom Yum soup and crispy wonton skins with a sauce drizzled over them. Thai Stellar has got to be one of Webster's most hidden gems. When I meet up my friends in the Bay Area, I always suggest this spot. This location is located in a large shopping strip right next to a tattoo shop. There is plenty of parking and I have never been here where there was a wait, but the flow of customers always stays steady. The space inside is also pretty large so tables are not right on top of each other. Customer service is always good. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is just right and that you are enjoying your meal. When it comes to Thai food, it is the one cuisine that I typically stay in my lane and will order the same things at different restaurants. It is also how I judge new places as well. If they don't do what I like right, I move on to the next. My usual go to dishes are red or green curries, drunken noodles, pad thai, pad see ew, fried rice and thai basil. They do all of these really well here. They will adjust spice levels to your liking. I am always the top level, but as I age, I find myself dropping it down a notch. They balance it just right without sacrificing flavor. Everything is just so good here. I like to come at lunch and take advantage of their lunch specials which also come with a soup and salad. It's a deal that is hard to pass up. I also enjoy their Pau Pia Taud which is the Thai version of eggrolls. It's kind of like a spring roll but better in my opinion. I like to have my meal with a Thai iced tea to cool down between bites. The mango sticky rice is a great way to end the meal here. NASA is right down the road, so for you out of towners and sight see'ers, check this place out. I am happy to say they also opened a location in my neck of the woods in Pearland. They were closing at the time but I'm sure during regular hours the restaurant has a cozy ambiance. Just wanted to say, I came here because my favorite Thai restaurant in CL is sadly closed permanently. Now, upon walking into Thai Stellar I was hit with a pungent "old mildew" smell like the building is old. I brushed it off and was hoping the food would be as good as Thai Cottage. I wanted fresh tofu spring rolls which I was told they only have the fried ones. So I instead chose the appetizer fried tofu with sweet sour sauce with the main course of green curry. The appetizer came out at the same time as the main course which was stupid. The tofu was fried and bland. The sweet sour sauce was ehh, but nothing special. They didn't give me enough sauce for the amount of tofu sticks. The rice in the green curry had gotten cold quickly and the green curry was lackluster in flavor. It tasted watered down and didn't have the flavor or scent that I was looking for. The staff in the dining room will stand and stare at you while you eat. I did not like that very much. The hostess and busser stood in the back of the restaurant and was looking at me eat. I know this because when I looked their way, they were looking at me. This made me very uncomfortable. This is my last time here. The food isn't good or tasty. It felt like I was eating at a low-budget Chinese restaurant. Oh, and I must mention that I came in at lunchtime and the restaurant had a full lot, but it wasn't many people inside. read more

This Thai restaurant in a Webster strip plaza seems to have something of a cult following. I can see why: it advertises genuinely authentic, scratch-made Thai dishes in a large, quirky space. The room is cavernous and dark, with dangling lamps, vintage Thai movie posters, a gum ball machine, and various other trinkets adorning the walls like colorful umbrellas, bottles, and a bike (?). Our server was very friendly, almost paternal, in his recommendations and desire to ensure we had an enjoyable lunch. The plates are hefty to say the least, and the two of us split an appetizer, noodle dish, and curry, which left us with full bellies AND leftovers. Thai dumplings - these hand-made steamed dumplings stuffed with crab, shrimp, bamboo, and ground park were satisfying and wholesome, if on the small side. They were super juicy as well. Coconut Island - an absolutely gigantic bowl (I didn't even know they made them this big) filled with a bright orange coconut-based curry, lots of seafood - shrimp, scallops, and a large fried fish filet - and some crunchy vegetables. A vibrant and well-balanced flavor profile with some lovely textural variation and more than enough to share two ways. I will say that the scallops were tragically low-quality and tasted old/defrosted, a solitary slip-up in an otherwise solid dish. Pad Thai - this was a spirited take on the quintessential Thai classic. Yet again, the portion size was eye-opening: enough for 3-4 to share. The taste profile was syrupy, tart, and savory and there were plenty of mix-ins: crunchy crushed peanuts, chewy tofu, and oily scallions. Tasted great reheated the next day as well. We were also intrigued by the pineapple curry on the menu, so that'll be for next time. While I'm not sure Thai Stellar passes the Michelin guide "worth traveling to the area just to dine at this restaurant" test, it is certainly a worthy lunch or dinner spot if you find yourself in the vicinity. read more

I have been here at least 8 times both sit-down and takeout, and this is genuinely some of the best Thai food I have ever had! It is a bit of a hole in the wall located in a strip mall center with not a lot of decor on the outside. However, inside, the atmosphere is very immersive and was just recently renovated. It has moody, dark lighting with a lot of authentic Thai decor. Onto the food, I'd say the spice level is accurate to Thai level spicy. I personally get a 4/5, and it definitely packs a punch. I have tried most of their protein options, and I prefer the chicken. The prices are very reasonable especially for lunch and the portions are generous. The service is quick even when we dined with a large group of 10. - Drunken noodles: 4.5/5 very flavorful, perfect ratio of vegetables, noodles, and meat. I do wish the bamboo shoots were larger because I don't really taste them. - Pad Thai: 4.5/5 also delicious and authentic, noodles were a perfect texture, a classic dish done right. - Pad see ew: 4/5 solid but similar to other Thai restaurants, did not stand out to me - Red curry: 4/5 again very flavorful and nice consistency of curry. The red curry and drunken noodles use the same vegetables cut the same way (green beans, bell peppers, carrots) which is how I believe they are able to cook their dishes so quickly, but it does feel a bit repetitive if you order both dishes together. - stir fried mussels: 4.9/5 SOOO delicious, the mussels are large and the sauce with basil leaves is to die for, perfectly sticky. After finishing the mussels, we mix our rice on the hot plate to soak up all the sauce. Must try. Only complaint is I wish it came with more mussels for the price but I know seafood is pricey. - tou hoo taud crispy tofu: 3/5 I thought it was alright but nothing special, my fiancé really liked it though. - chicken satay: 3/5 also nothing special, did not come out hot. - lad na: 3/5 only offered during dinner. I understand it is a specialty dish but I unfortunately did not care for it much. I think it could use more seasoning but maybe that is how the dish is supposed to be prepared. Overall, this is a must-try place in the Webster area and tbh in Houston in general.
