Pinole favorite Thai place! This is a long over due review! My family has been going there for years. It's one of our go to lunch places durning the week! I always get Crispy Chicken over fried rice! Thinking about it now make my mouth water. It comes with a delicious sweet and sour sauce! Also, I think the egg rolls are fresh end crunchy! Lastly, I always get a Thai iced tea! This place has been in Hercules for a loooong time - I remember passing it by when I used to visit friends here over 10 years ago. Finally tried it with my other half and his family during one of our usual weekend visits. Our server was nice and attentive to dietary restrictions. The food was pretty good! Had some complimentary soup as a starter. We ordered a range of things - pad see ew, curries, pad Thai, drunken noodles, tofu and brown rice. Everything was fresh, tasty, and had good flavor. My bf (who's hard to please) even commended the medium spice level, which was perfect for him but would have probably had me downing ice cold cups of water. Prices and ambiance were fine. I have been to this restaurant many times and have had a positive experience every time! The inside is very nicely decorated and the atmosphere is very comforting and welcoming. The food is always really good and they do not hold back with spice levels so if you prefer milder flavors, make sure to let your server know. They are always super mindful of the spiciness of their dishes so they will ask when necessary. The plaza it's in has a small parking lot across the street from a very busy plaza. Because of this it can be a little inconvenient when pulling up to the plaza but otherwise parking is usually never full. This food was for my daughter's birthday, so we used ChubHub to have it delivered. Although my daughter enjoyed her beef curry, my salad Som Tum, was soggy. I asked that the dressing be served on the side, but they poured it all over the noodles and veggies. Even the green beans were soggy, and the flavor was terrible. It felt as if I'd gotten a salad that had been in the refrigerator overnight. The Satay Tofu was dry as well. The entire order was over $78 plus tip. I was a huge disappointment for me. For that price I expect leftovers as well and there was little edible food left. I'm just glad my daughter enjoyed the curry. read more

Order two noodle dishes, notice the Broccolis was not cooked. Call the restaurant to fix the issue. I told them we would not be able to eat uncooked Broccoli. Instead of Correcting the issue. We were instructed to micro wave the broccoli. They don't care about their business even though it was brought up. They think they are the only Restaurant. I'd give this place a solid 3 stars. It's not the absolute best Thai food I've had but it's pretty darn good. Cute ambiance, usually the staff is nice, the service is adequate and the food is good. I usually get either the fresh rolls, yellow curry, pumpkin curry or pad thai. No complains with any of those dishes. OWNER NEEDS CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING. I called in an order for drunken noodles with chicken (all THAI restaurants use the thick noodles for drunken noodles AND I've ordered drunken noodles before from that nice server who works the register). I called them to let them know when I got home and realized the noodles were thin, and it looked like pork, which I don't eat. I told the owner who took my order that I don't eat duck, I ordered drunken noodles with chicken several times. I've been coming here for a year (the server has seen me more than a few times. I've spent over $300 last year.) I told the owner I haven't touched the noodles so I can come and bring it back if they can make the normal drunken noodles with chicken. She said she confirmed with me over the phone that it was duck and that I'm wrong. There's no way she said anything about duck because I DO NOT EAT DUCK. Maybe the duck was more expensive so she was trying to get over on me?! OWNER HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE It could've been a simple fix: either I pick up what I ordered, or get a refund. She refused both and hung up on me. I've been in customer service all my life and if my client tells me that's not what she ordered, I would correct it. WHETHER IT WAS MY MISTAKE OR HERS. Period. It was one of those mornings when I woke up and had an immediate craving for a specific cuisine: Thai Curry AND angel wings. So, with the help of Yelp, I was able to narrow down the list to two places. There was only one reason why this one won out: it was closest to the places I had to be for the day's errands. Hubbers and I have been here before for take-out, but that was years ago. I'm not really sure what we ordered back then, but with those specific cravings and other factors, it was the go-to for the day. Very popular during a weekday lunch hour. All but maybe about 4 tables were occupied. I was initially seated next to the door, but with the chill coming through each time someone was arriving or leaving and the fact it didn't close all the way, I asked to be seated at the very back. "No problem." I scanned the menu before arrival, so I knew exactly what I wanted: "Bangkok angel wings to start and the gang ga-ree gai (mid yellow curry with chicken)." "Sorry, but with the holidays just coming through, we are out of the angel wings today." I know it isn't my server's fault for running out of 1 of 2 things I wanted, and I must admit that I made a serious consideration to up and leave. But then that felt rude, so I decided to stay and go and settle with just the yellow curry. The meal came with a side of rice soup which was delivered almost immediately. I thought it was a good way to start considering the cold weather outside. It was a bit on the bland side and I felt there was something missing with its flavor profile - like the broth needed a bit more bang. But you know... it was okay at best. My main dish followed through not too long after. Made to order, the presentation was cute as the rice was molded into a shape of a heart. (Awww!) But the verdict: the rice was a bit undercooked. It was on the dry end of the spectrum, some were too hard to chew. The amount of onions and potatoes were proportionate to the amount of chicken on the plate. The curry flavor was good, a little bit above mediocre. The only problem was I can still taste the texture of the curry powder - like it wasn't given enough time to dissolve smoothly into the sauce. FOOD: 3. SERVICE: 3. VALUE: 3. ($9.95+tax+tip for lunch.) PARKING: Private. Not an issue. OVERALL: 3. My server highly recommended a few of their stir fry dishes should there be a next visit. She also promised to have the angel wings then. The food was okay enough to recommend them. After all, there's a reason why they have a following. And although I wouldn't order the yellow curry again, I'd still come back and try some of their stir-fried dishes. Crossing fingers they'll have the angel wings by then. read more

I asked for extra lemons/limes and the server said the charge for extra when there were two if us on the table. I asked for two separate containers, to separate the broth from the veggies and noodles, but the server said, "limited to only one box" I requested a to go cup for an unfinished thai ice tea, the server said extra $$ for the cup! Normally this is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area because of excellent service and yummy food. I was disappointed with my last experience this past Saturday. It not only took way too long for them to prepare our pick up order (1 hour), when we tried our food, none of what we ordered tasted right. The stuffed Angel wings was bland and the outside tasted burned. The Larb dish is normally my favorite but this time getting it, it tasted like slightly burnt ground chicken meat tossed with red onion and no other flavor. I believe they forgot to dress the dish with the lime and fish sauce. There wasn't any trace of those distinct yummy ingredients in the dish at all. I was hoping the moo yang came with some rice but it didn't, that's fine. It met my expectations - delicious and bbq'd. Pad se ew was alright and filling but wish it was tastier and had more of something to it. Downfalls: We didn't get our Thai tea with our order so I complained to DoorDash and received DoorDash credits. The papaya salad which I thought would be the star of the went horribly wrong. Not only did I request it as level 3 spicy (since I've been craving spicy Thai dishes) it came with no peppers/spice at all. Dinner was a let down and I'm not all that satisfied.
