Authentic Chinese food served by customer friendly staff. Try the Wor wonton soup. Best in the Bay Area. Centrally located close to Fitzgerald Shopping Center with plenty of parking. Super clean with full bar. read more

Rice was the most dry and flavorless Ive had in my life. Pork was burnt. Chowmein had no flavor and only had a few pieces of questionable looking chicken. Princess Chicken was mostly batter and not tasty. Will not order from this place ever again read more

Absolutely love this place! Love going here and the owners are so friendly and welcoming. The food is always great and the ambiance is calm.

Food is excellent here Service is great and the waitress are very friendly and helpful Ambiance is nice and quiet but if you go during dinner it might be busy and noisy. We have been here since January if this year. And come here often once a month if not twice. Sizzling Rice Soup is delicious our favorite. Salt and pepper ribs and shrimp both great dishes. Uncle Chung's Szechuan - Beef and assorted vegetables and salt and pepper shrimp - Chinese Near Me - Pinole, California

I have been eating here with my family since I was a little kid. I am now almost 40. We love Uncle Chung's!

Best Chinese eggplant I've ever had. It's on my weekly rotation!! I highly recommend all that I have tried; egg rolls, double mushroom tofu, Chinese eggplant. All delicious!! Thank you!! read more

I heard a conversation at this location that I found extremely offensive and racist toward the community. What made it especially concerning was hearing these comments from the owner/manager. After hearing that, I will not be returning. I believe everyone deserves to be treated the same with dignity and respect, regardless of their ethnicity or background. read more

I used to come here a lot for lunch . Food is good. But since the pandemic they closed their dining area and just sticked to pick up orders. I've come several times throughout the years and tried to eat here but they're always closed. It's just a pick up place. Today I called to see if they're finally open for dine in but no answer. I went anyways and the lady said no dine in just pick up. Frustrating. That's the last time I'll come here . read more

*** Vegetarian Review *** Uncle Chungs is in my top two Chinese restaurants. Why you ask? They offer vegetarian meats, the service is super friendly, and as a bonus, they have a full view of the city and bay. Vegetarian Chicken Salad (Grade A+) - the dressing is delicious and the breaded fried "chicken" pieces are amazing. Crunchy and not oily. Everything sits on a bed of fried rice noodles and shredded lettuce. Tip - if you order out, ask for the sauce on the side. Vegetarian Princess Chicken (Grade A+) - another must order and always consistent. I've been ordering this dish for at least 20 years and it only gets better. Lightly breaded fake chicken nuggets in a lightly sweet and lightly spicy sauce. Tip - get the sauce on the side if you order this to go. Vegetarian Lemon Chicken (Grade A+) - Lightly breaded vegetarian chicken patty, cut in slices over a bed of lettuce and lemon sauce. Tip - Sauce on the side ... you get it. Overall, whenever I'm in the area, we will go here. Everyone is so friendly here, the view (especially at night) is eye catching, and their vegetarian menu is one of a kind. read more

I ordered Lemon Chicken Sat night to go and the chicken was very hard, dry and old. Very disappointed

I have loved Uncle Chungs, it is my favorite I've had many great family meals, there and good memories with such a beautiful view. There of the time the only thing my sister would eat on the menu was the appetizer triangle chicken good times my favorite is Princess chicken the ultimate princess chicken.,. read more

We held our granddaughter's Baptism reception here for almost 30 people. The restaurant was conveniently located with a beautiful view. We chose a banquet menu and every dish was delicious. The service was excellent. The wait staff was very attentive. Thank you for helping to make this day memory for our granddaughter., read more

The food here used to be good and my family would order take out frequently. I couldn't remember exactly why we stopped ordering shortly before the pandemic. I remembered why tonight! We ordered the beef chow fun, which had a very strange flavor and the meat seemed older. The hot and sour soup was watery and also quite flavorless with very little meat and tofu. Not only was everything not very good or fresh tasting, it was $60! For 3 items that is an absurd price. I'll never order again. read more

OK. Very nice oeople, but food was nothing to write home about. Decent enough if you're in Pinole and jonesing for some Chinese.

Food is very good. Take out orders always timely and correct. Wonderful people there and always attentive

The food is always so yummy! Great customer service. They also have a good banquet menus. I have used this place for a baby shower reception and it was a hit! I had shrimp chow fun and lemon chicken in my last order. Both were so good! read more

Service and food have definitely changed since the pandemic. What used to be my favorite lunch spot for Princess prawns or chicken turned into a definite NO THANK YOU!! placed and order for pickup and literally spit it out. Called the restaurant to let them know the food was horrible and she told me she wasn't going to argue with me.... I wasn't arguing- simply letting her know that 1) do better 2) breading on the prawns was raw. Will not be back read more

My go to chinese to go spot. Family owned spot, good food, never failed me. Very clean, tasty chinese food. Packaging is nice and clean. I must have come here 100 times and they are consistent. read more

Online order -The food was not fresh, the chicken in the rice did not taste flavorful. Even the eggs did not taste fresh and some of the veggies hard in the sweet and sour chicken. Called -the manager was only worried about not wanting to give me a credit. She said next time... I said no thanks I don't want any credit or no $ back just wanted you to be aware since I did waste my money ordering there. They put a lot of pineapples in the rice. Just wanted to support a local business. Won't be a next time. read more

I use to go to Uncle Chung's all the time before COVID however, the last time I was there recently, I got takeout and everything had an awful burnt taste. I don't know if they were just having a bad day, but the food was very, very, disappointing. Since then, I haven't been back. read more

Nice to see that Uncle Chung's is still around. Located in a small strip mall off of Appian way. Service was nice and quick. Generous portions with decent prices Green beans were tasty and not salty like other restaurants Sweet and sour pork had a different taste but not bad Beef chow fun was plentiful and better than most places Salt and pepper spareribs were aright. Some pieces were better than others but good sized portions. Takeout only No indoor dining as of 10/16/22 read more

My fave spot thus far for salt and pepper ribs. While the prices sky rocketed after pandemic, its always a spot I turn to when I am craving salt and pepper pork. Service, easily ordered via yelp. The lady there seems to have some interesting attitudes- sometimes super sweet, at times super negative and mean. Ambiance m- surprisingly, I've never ate inside the restaurant. I think they've been closed for sit downs until recently.. read more

Service was some of the worst by older lady, maybe the owner?. Food was mediocre. Can't recommend and won't be returning. Believe the reviews read more

The quality of the food over the years has went down. I used to get food for my family at least twice a month. My favorite would be the sweet and sour soup. I would at times just order that in the Large. It was a thick tasty broth with a lot of meat and tofu. Last month I ordered it and it was so runny and bland. So I said every restaurant has a bad day so I waited and ordered it again this week. It was absolutely disgusting to a point I had to dump it. I have supported this business for over 6 years. In saying that I won't support this business again which is really too bad considering I love to support local businesses. I understand the prices of food now is high but I would rather you have raised your prices because I would be willing to pay for delicious quality food versus bland watery and less ingredients. read more

I only try this place once...in 2000. What made me return to eat here in 2021? Hunger was my decision to eat here. I only Beef with Broccoli for lunch. My proportion was fulfilling. It made me full. No complaints about the lunch at Uncle Chung's. Uncle Chung's is located off Appian Way in the small shopping center. It is not in the Pinole Vista Shopping Center where Lucky is located. read more

Came here on New Year's eve after going to two other restaurants who were only offering take out. I called and they lady who answered said they were only taking reservations but she could take us now if we came. Haven't been here in about 3 years. We were seated right way. Service was excellent. Server was very helpful and attentive. The food was very good. My favorite item was the mandarin triple crown but everything was delicious. I was given a very nice calendar on our way out. Was here 2 weeks ago and we tried the tomato beef chow mein which we thought was marvelous, it made us want to come back and try other things. Well today we tried the salt and pepper chicken wings, beef chow fun, and eggplant. Sorry to say we were not impressed with either the chow fun or eggplant which were both pretty bland and tasteless, so unfortunately this review is downgrading to a 3. But the salt and pepper chicken wings were ok and on a previous visit we loved the tomato beef chow mein, so I don't mind giving this place another try despite the tasteless things we got today. The service was still very friendly, fast, and efficient. read more
