Small size. Pack of matches for scale. They can pack a lot in that little package.

The food is tasty and enjoyable. Service is pleasant. Ambiance is at your home or in your car. Eating at Rickshaw makes you feel like they are an inflation free zone. My wife and I can share a $13 meal and get full. They are cash-debit only To Go only but I'm sure that helps keep the price down- not paying credit card fees. . When you order a "small" (see photo) it is small but they make an effort to jam pack their to go containers. Easy accessable fast food. Check them out.

In my old hometown of Pinole when visiting family, friends or going to St Joseph church I must, must go to Rickshaw for at least one meal. When I do, I order the same freaking thing; Express deal with chow mein, fried rice, sweet sour pork and an egg roll. Same thing for like forever. Because it works so well together. The chow mein uses a udon thick noodles, the sweet sour pork is the BEST out there and the egg roll is super satisfying at finishing off this great combo. Dude I'm dead serious. Family owned since Marty McFly went Back to the Future. There's only one true Rickshaw and this is she!

The Rickshaw has dry fried ribs again. I hadn't been here in a while because I repeatedly came by and they didn't have dry fried. which is my favorite. I also ordered the chow mein which I like because it's not greasy or oily. I also like a few other items I just tend to order the chow mein and dry fried. I'm going to enjoy this, so have a good day.

After not coming here for a while, I decided to check it out for lunch today. I had half/half fried rice/chow mein with bbq pork and mushrooms chicken. It was $10 and some change. The portion was generous, smaller stomach can easily made it 2 meals or even 3! Bbq pork was good, lean, but the flavor was there. I especially liked the slightly burnt pieces bc it had the bbq aroma. The mushroom chicken tasted fresh too and seasoned well. The fried rice had the "wok" smokey fragrance, I thought it was really good. The chow mein was ok too, I just didn't really care for the super thick noodles they used bc it was too doughy for my liking. This time, I actually didn't feel too thirsty after my meal and I was very very full lol. Certainly a good spot for cheap and quick Chinese food. I might order food from them for my next party, the prices seemed reasonable/not pricey. Btw, it is takeout only now. They no longer had tables and chairs to dine in. cash only!

5/12/2025, I ordered pick up through DoorDash on the way to work. I remember this place when it opened in 1979. It has always been popular for decades. I ordered the large shrimp and sea food fried rice. They have 2 item lunch specials for $5.00.

The restaurant is set up for take away only, no indoor/outdoor seating is set up. A red velvet rope keeps you from getting too close to the steam table. That said ... The food is pretty solid. It's the best Chinese "fast food" I've found in a while. The steam table is constantly being replenished, and you can see and hear someone constantly cooking in the kitchen. It was lunch rush on my first time there, so I watched to see what people ordered, mostly combos (fried rice, chow mein) with protein choices available from the steam table. I ordered rice plates, i.e., steamed rice and a choice of protein from the steam table. Mandarin chicken. Lightly breaded, not too sweet. Peking ribs. Loved nibbling on crispy coated bits of pork ribs. Sweet and sour pork. A tad sweet. Lots of sauce, pork carrots, bell pepper and onions. No pineapple chunks that I could discern. Broccoli beef. Thin sliced meat with lots of broccoli. Coated with a tasty brown sauce. String bean chicken. Another tasty and solid option. Plenty of green beans, chicken is well cooked. Two rice plates were less than $15 and more than enough food to put me into an afternoon food coma if I ate it all in one sitting! Things to keep in mind. They are a CASH ONLY business. There may be a line as there is only one person who fills your order until you have paid before moving on to the next customer. They offer more than what is on the steam table, so you can order other items. They also offer wonton soup, hot and sour soup, crab Rangoon, spring rolls, sesame balls. Anything on the steam table can be ordered in S-M-L-XL boxes. Happy to update as I make my way through their menu.

Came here on a nice rainy day. Cravings satisfied! I got chow mein and the general chicken - both were delicious! It's very clean inside as well and the staff were very friendly.

Take-Out: Short Ribs Sautéed in Black Bean Sauce! Delicious!

Fine if you want something quick and cheap but the food was lackluster in flavor. Probably wouldn't eat here again.

I was there at 7pm on a Tuesday night. The entire shopping plaza was dark and unwelcoming. If it wasn't for the bright lights of the restaurant, I would of turned around and left. I came to China Delights to try their Hung Tao Wor Yee Won Ton Soup. It's a soup you seldom see in Chinese restaurants anymore. China Delights is a large spacious restaurant. Lots of round tables for groups. It could probably handle a Chinese banquet. So I ordered the won ton soup and an order of fried chicken wings. My big bowl of soup arrives, and it has chunks of imitation crab in it. Look, I understand everyone has their own recipe, but I don't want pieces of processed seafood in my won ton soup. Also, this isn't wor won ton soup, because there's nothing else added to it. It was just fried won tons, egg drop soup, and the "fake crab" meat. It doesn't alter the flavor of the soup. It was actually good soup, but I didn't like the fake crab meat. Grade (3/5). The fried chicken wings were super crispy and delicious! (5/5). Service was okay. The older lady who served me came over and chatted about the restaurant. Seems they also own Peking Delights in San Ramon. She told me her customers like won ton soup with imitation crab meat in it. So be aware, you might get something in your soup that's not on the menu. Lots of free parking.

I think the "3-star" Yelp average is correct for this place…read more On a Saturday evening, I drove up to Pinole just to try the Hung Tao Yee Won Ton Soup at China House. It was near 5pm, and the dining room was empty. They said most of the orders were for takeout and delivery. So I was seated right away, and they offered me hot tea. So I ordered the Hung Tao Yee Won Ton Soup, and also "Salt 'n Pepper Prawns" as listed under House Specialties on their menu. For $15.95, it's a huge bowl of soup. It could be enough for 2-3 people. Hung Tao Yee Won Ton Soup is fried won ton in thicken egg drop soup. I added pepper and a splash of soy sauce, and it was perfect. Grade (4/5). However, the Salt 'n Pepper Prawns were not perfect. They were served deep fried, with jalapeño pepper slices. I asked for "in-shell." So they were deep fried with the shell still on. That usually means they'll have more flavor. These prawns were mushy and had a slightly fishy aftertaste. This suggests that they were frozen and not fresh. China House didn't season them enough to mask the off-taste. Other restaurants add a coarse salt and maybe a dipping sauce. The batter coating tasted fine, but the prawn itself wasn't good. Grade (2/5). Service was prompt and attentive. Restroom- 1 Women's restroom, and 1 All Gender. China House has a big screen TV, and they were showing a basketball game ( NY vs Houston). Free off-street parking lot

Hidden gem in El Sobrante that serves up some of the best Laotian and Thai food in the Bay Area…read more Every time we visit, must-orders are the Nam Khao (crispy rice ball salad with fermented pork sausage and fresh herbs) and Ka Soy (Laotian noodle soup). If you see Nam Khao on the menu of a Laotian/Thai restaurant, that means they know what they are doing just because it's so labor-intensive to make a salad(!) and the fermented pork has to be damn-near perfect for this salad to really shine and round out the fresh herbs and seasonings which includes lime juice, vinegar, and fish sauce. Ka Soy (the noodle soup) is a comfort food enjoyed in Southeast Asia. It's not the Thai-style where it's a curry broth and the noodles are fried, so let's not get it mixed up. Instead, it's bone broth that been simmered for hours and it's somewhat a lighter broth. The noodles are wide rice noodles in a big bowl of hot broth served with a mixture of ground pork cooked down with tomatoes along with fresh bean sprouts, scallions, and cilantro - simply a divine noodle soup that a must-try. It's not overly complex in terms of flavor, but it's a bowl of good ol' noodle soup that is comforting and great-tasting. If you haven't tried Laotian food, give Sue's Kitchen a try. try some new flavors and you may just become a regular (if you aren't already). The owners are friendly too! It's a husband-and-wife team!
