Came as part of a two-table (20 people) banquet. All the dishes were good! Walnut prawns were my favorite. Service was excellent, they kept the teapots filled better than most dim sum places.

Fav local spot - to go or dine in the food is good the portions are generous! Service is quick - for pick up its usual 15 min wait from order. Ambiance is old school - comfortable though. The plaza is pretty vacant, parking is ample.

I dine inside China Delights a week after Hunan Villa closed their door down. I wasn't disappointed when I dine inside China Delights. I had Chicken with Mixed Vegetables with Fried Rice. I love the proportion of my plate. I love how the food was presented on the plate. The taste of the Chicken was good. Plenty of vegetables and I ate it. I was check by my server to be sure that I was doing great. I love how my service was at China Delights. I would be sad if China Delights closed their door. Safeway is still in business and the area does not get much cars. China Delights is a great restaurant to dine inside. Keep up the great service for Pinole Residents.

Hello came in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was pretty empty when we came in. What we didn't realize was that they were closing in 35 minutes. They still went ahead and took our order for a family meal for 5. The server was very nice. The food was delicious. All the dishes were good. Even when they closed they did not rush my family out of the restaurant. My family was very happy with the food as well. We will definitely come back to eat here again.

If you're thinking of Chinese food and you live near Pinole, you have to come to China Delights. They offer a lot of authentic Chinese food and all of the items on their menu are good and generous in serving. I've been to this place several times and I finally was able to write a review. They have several tables and chairs for both small and big groups. The service was fast and the orders got to your table quickly. They serve lunch plates for individuals or ala carte for a big gathering We ordered the sizzling rice plate, crispy chicken wings, salt and pepper pork chop, and sauteed spinach on garlic sauce. Our family enjoyed all the items we ordered. The portions are so generous that we have to take home our leftovers. This is definitely a good place to dine for Chinese food around the neighborhood.

I love the salt and pepper rock cod it's so delicious and light with delicious jalapeños and green onions thrown in. Also I ordered the shrimp fried rice which was also delicious. The staff is friendly and quick to get your order to you. The prices are affordable and they have plenty of different specials on the menu.

Generous portions & very tasty ! They have a green menu ( you need to request it ) that features specially priced dishes as part of a discounted dinner menu ( choice of 3 soups w/ any 3 dishes for a set price like $38 ! ) There is a smallish banquet room for private parties & a spacious dining room w/ minimal no frills decor. But it's my local go-to for Chinese food !

Got beef chow fun for the first time, it was really good mixed with bean sprouts green & yellow onion, my order could feed about 3/4. Meat was tender, most meat was at the top, when I put the rest in takeout container, there was no meat throughout the chow fun.

Normally we go to Wojia in Albany. This place is a tad cheaper but the quality is far worse. Cannot recommend.

I think the "3-star" Yelp average is correct for this place…read more On a Saturday evening, I drove up to Pinole just to try the Hung Tao Yee Won Ton Soup at China House. It was near 5pm, and the dining room was empty. They said most of the orders were for takeout and delivery. So I was seated right away, and they offered me hot tea. So I ordered the Hung Tao Yee Won Ton Soup, and also "Salt 'n Pepper Prawns" as listed under House Specialties on their menu. For $15.95, it's a huge bowl of soup. It could be enough for 2-3 people. Hung Tao Yee Won Ton Soup is fried won ton in thicken egg drop soup. I added pepper and a splash of soy sauce, and it was perfect. Grade (4/5). However, the Salt 'n Pepper Prawns were not perfect. They were served deep fried, with jalapeño pepper slices. I asked for "in-shell." So they were deep fried with the shell still on. That usually means they'll have more flavor. These prawns were mushy and had a slightly fishy aftertaste. This suggests that they were frozen and not fresh. China House didn't season them enough to mask the off-taste. Other restaurants add a coarse salt and maybe a dipping sauce. The batter coating tasted fine, but the prawn itself wasn't good. Grade (2/5). Service was prompt and attentive. Restroom- 1 Women's restroom, and 1 All Gender. China House has a big screen TV, and they were showing a basketball game ( NY vs Houston). Free off-street parking lot

Hidden gem in El Sobrante that serves up some of the best Laotian and Thai food in the Bay Area…read more Every time we visit, must-orders are the Nam Khao (crispy rice ball salad with fermented pork sausage and fresh herbs) and Ka Soy (Laotian noodle soup). If you see Nam Khao on the menu of a Laotian/Thai restaurant, that means they know what they are doing just because it's so labor-intensive to make a salad(!) and the fermented pork has to be damn-near perfect for this salad to really shine and round out the fresh herbs and seasonings which includes lime juice, vinegar, and fish sauce. Ka Soy (the noodle soup) is a comfort food enjoyed in Southeast Asia. It's not the Thai-style where it's a curry broth and the noodles are fried, so let's not get it mixed up. Instead, it's bone broth that been simmered for hours and it's somewhat a lighter broth. The noodles are wide rice noodles in a big bowl of hot broth served with a mixture of ground pork cooked down with tomatoes along with fresh bean sprouts, scallions, and cilantro - simply a divine noodle soup that a must-try. It's not overly complex in terms of flavor, but it's a bowl of good ol' noodle soup that is comforting and great-tasting. If you haven't tried Laotian food, give Sue's Kitchen a try. try some new flavors and you may just become a regular (if you aren't already). The owners are friendly too! It's a husband-and-wife team!
