    Khao Soy, spice level 4
    Mari P.

My second time here for lunch and we got here around 1130ish, normal lunch hour rush. It was busy but not completely full. We sat ourselves right away and ordered maybe 5minutes later. I was craving Thai and soup so I got Khao Soy with pork and my cousin got Pad see-ew with beef and chicken. We both got spice level 4 and so glad we didn't get 5. It was spicy good. We had a bit of a wait to get our bill, but overall good service and nice clean restaurant. It's close to my work, so very convenient.

We had Thai Riverside for lunch and I got the drunken noodles with shrimp. I thought the noodles were a bit too chewy for my taste. It could have used some more shrimp too. Might or might not try it again..

Khao Soi - real good & tasty

The Khao Soi is great. The vegetable tempura was ok. Their curries & fried rice are good.

we moved from fort worth to grapvine and needed to find another thai restaurant to get our thai fix on, and luckily this place isn't too far from our new house. i called ahead and order the lunch special, for the pad thai and the pad see ew. i got chicken for the pad see ew and beef for the pad thai. both dishes were decent, but what kinda ticked me off was that on the menu it didn't mention extra charge for beef, and when i got there they told me it was 1 dollar more. honestly 1 dollar is nothing, but its more so the principal of being upfront on the menu. if you ask for chili on the side, they'll do it. and i think this is the way to go, since you can control how spice you want it. also, the lunch special doesn't come with anything extra, i think they call it a lunch special, since its cheaper than the normal menu price.

    Cashew Chicken watery sauce

First time trying this restaurant . Flavors are good, but the sauce on the cashew chicken is super thin like water.

This little hole in the wall Thai restaurant delivers on every element. I came here with some work friends for a lunch. I walked away a new fan of what is now my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. This place is family, owned and operated. The service is phenomenal. The husband and wife team pair up to serve their clients quickly and efficiently and in a reasonable time to grab a quick lunch and get back to the office. I ordered the pad see ew And it honestly was the best pad see you I have eaten. One note of caution, when coming to this restaurant. Please know that if you order your food spicy, they really mean it. One of my friends who likes his food really spicy ordered his food with a level one spice meaning very minimal, but yet there. His eyes and nose were running the entire time he was eating, but he kept on saying how good it was!

I was in the process of moving from my airport hotel to the Gaylord, and I needed lunch. Living in Los Angeles, I love Thai food, and Thai Riverside seemed to tick all the logistical boxes, so off I went with my luggage. I was greeted warmly and told to sit anywhere I'd like--there were already a few tables seated--and once I parked myself at a table, I opted for Pad Thai. Frankly, I wasn't sure I was wildly hungry, and I wanted something easy. While Pad Thai isn't typically a spicy dish--so I wasn't quite sure what a spicy version might be like--I opted for mild but with dried chili on the side so that I could control the spice level. I think that's always the right choice at an unfamiliar restaurant, especially when they warn you that spicy is spicy (and Thai-level spicy can be a LOT). My food came out promptly, and it was tasty. It was a little more coated in that sweetish sauce than I prefer (which is why the Pad Thai at Otus in LA is so great)--though I'm aware that many places do it this way--but it was still a solid dish, and with the accompanying lime and chili flakes, I was able to cut that sweetness. (And I did indeed finish it all.) All in all, a pleasant dining experience, and I'd certainly return if I were in the area.

The staff were helpful and pleasant. We were offered a Happy hour menu which included cocktails (perfectly prepared and a great value!) as well as a special menu for the day. Their regular menu is so extensive that it was hard to decide so we sought professional help! Guided perfectly! Yuzu chicken with broccoli was so good and the Khao Soi with chicken - Thai northern-style egg noodle in "khao-soi" curry, pickled cabbage, red onions, scallions, roasted chilies, and crispy egg noodle - can you tell I loved this? To finish we tried the Banana Bombay - like a bananas foster but you can choose your type of house made ice cream. So great!!!!

First things first: Booths, padded seats, coke products and a full bar + mocktails (whatever those are :) They didn't skimp on decor. I appreciated the painted and wooded ceiling, lovely lighting and fans and tasteful wallpaper. But here's what you don't see every day (even in fine dining places) substantial glasses and silverware (heavy) along with fresh flowers and of course linen napkins. I didn't even realize I was missing those things! Food (let me start out with, I'm a sauce girl and I loved their sauces-both in taste and in quantity)! They give it all to you. Pot stickers in a bowl of sauce and there's crunchy on the crunchy---while laying in a scrumptious salty sauce. Cashew chicken had sooo many cashews (the perfect amount), well-cooked chicken, lots of veggies. I went mild and my husband's dish was medium spice and there was a BIG difference but as long as they're consistent, I'm good. This was my 1st time so TBD. Dessert: Warm sticky rice with mango and even though it doesn't need it (but I LOVED it) more coconut sauce on the side! The coconut ice cream was thick and creamy with coconut shavings mixed in. It's everything a dessert should be; fruity and fresh, creamy and cold, sticky and warm ---every bite is better than the last one! Service: Our server, Juan was fabulous! He anticipated our needs and made sure we had everything we needed and more. The price didn't break the bank (very fair) and the menu has a TON of variety from all regions of Thailand. This is the real deal.

The dumplings themselves absolutely lived up to the hype--perfectly delicate with a flavorful broth inside. We also ordered the dim sum combination, additional dim sum, and lo mein, and everything came out fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. The variety in the dim sum was impressive, and the lo mein had a great texture and seasoning that tied the meal together nicely. You can tell there's real skill in the kitchen when it comes to the food. My only complaint was noticing the staff making the fresh dumplings eating personal food while working. It took away a bit from the overall experience and professionalism you'd expect, especially in an open kitchen setting. That said, the food quality is definitely worth it, and I'd still recommend stopping by if you're craving authentic soup dumplings in the area. Solid 4 stars!

Got it to pick up and take home, so I can't say a lot about service or ambiance, though the place is clean and well kept, has nice decorations. The fried tofu and sauce was excellent. The vibe and atmosphere is definitely homemade. You can hear the fire turn on and the clanks of the metal spatula hitting the wok. I have yet to eat a dish there that I do not enjoy.
