We stumbled into this place on our way home from Dallas and we are so glad we did. They were having problems with their air conditioning the evening we went but the employees were so friendly and apologetic about it. Once we were seated it wasn't an issue at all. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and full of flavor. My husband and son love spicy food and ordered a level 4. The waitress explained that a 4 is pretty spicy. However it was the perfect amount of spice for them. We ordered sriracha chicken fried rice, pineapple chicken fried rice, tofu pad thai and fried tofu. We plan to return very soon. read more

we moved from fort worth to grapvine and needed to find another thai restaurant to get our thai fix on, and luckily this place isn't too far from our new house. i called ahead and order the lunch special, for the pad thai and the pad see ew. i got chicken for the pad see ew and beef for the pad thai. both dishes were decent, but what kinda ticked me off was that on the menu it didn't mention extra charge for beef, and when i got there they told me it was 1 dollar more. honestly 1 dollar is nothing, but its more so the principal of being upfront on the menu. if you ask for chili on the side, they'll do it. and i think this is the way to go, since you can control how spice you want it. also, the lunch special doesn't come with anything extra, i think they call it a lunch special, since its cheaper than the normal menu price. read more

Inconsistent Menu Pricing & Overcharge I enjoyed the food, but the staff attempted to overcharge me and argue over prices and brought me the dinner menu instead of the lunch menu I was originally presented with. I entered the restaurant and was given a lunch menu. When my receipt came I asked why the prices differed, the staff member returned after several minutes attending other customer, and handed me a dinner menu. She claimed the prices on the lunch menu were incorrect. I reminded her that she had provided the lunch menu, and she insisted the prices were not accurate and that I would need to pay for the dinner menu prices. Have eaten here a number of times. Today at lunch I ordered the Pad Woon Sen with tofu protein off of the dinner menu. Spice level 3/5. I like that they have small individual fish sauce if you ask for extra. I generally want more fish sauce, limes and chili . Today the kitchen delivered spice level was good enough. Upon moving to Texas, my husband and I weren't sure where to begin to look for Thai cuisine. I stumbled across Thai Riverside on Google and they had average ratings.. which was worth a try to me! They were smart to leave menus on some of the tables - one less thing to worry about! We were greeted with water and provided time to look at the menu. They have a various of curries and dishes.. very impressive. I stick to what I like - curry! I like how they have a spicy scale 1 (mild) - 5 (very spicy). Thai spice is not to be under estimate. When in doubt, order a mild and request for spices to make the dish spicier. Once you order, you will not get a refund. I ordered the yellow chicken curry mild. The curries come with the option of vegetables, chicken, and tofu. Beef +$1, Seafood for +$3, and a side of rice. I, thoroughly, enjoyed the curry. It was more than enough for me, but I couldn't stop eating. YUM! I was very pleased with the service and food. Many people made phone orders. The orders were organized and easy to find. This little hole in the wall Thai restaurant delivers on every element. I came here with some work friends for a lunch. I walked away a new fan of what is now my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. This place is family, owned and operated. The service is phenomenal. The husband and wife team pair up to serve their clients quickly and efficiently and in a reasonable time to grab a quick lunch and get back to the office. I ordered the pad see ew And it honestly was the best pad see you I have eaten. One note of caution, when coming to this restaurant. Please know that if you order your food spicy, they really mean it. One of my friends who likes his food really spicy ordered his food with a level one spice meaning very minimal, but yet there. I was in the process of moving from my airport hotel to the Gaylord, and I needed lunch. Living in Los Angeles, I love Thai food, and Thai Riverside seemed to tick all the logistical boxes, so off I went with my luggage. I was greeted warmly and told to sit anywhere I'd like--there were already a few tables seated--and once I parked myself at a table, I opted for Pad Thai. Frankly, I wasn't sure I was wildly hungry, and I wanted something easy. While Pad Thai isn't typically a spicy dish--so I wasn't quite sure what a spicy version might be like--I opted for mild but with dried chili on the side so that I could control the spice level. I think that's always the right choice at an unfamiliar restaurant, especially when they warn you that spicy is spicy (and Thai-level spicy can be a LOT). My food came out promptly, and it was tasty. It was a little more coated in that sweetish sauce than I prefer (which is why the Pad Thai at Otus in LA is so great)--though I'm aware that many places do it this way--but it was still a solid dish, and with the accompanying lime and chili flakes, I was able to cut that sweetness. (And I did indeed finish it all.) All in all, a pleasant dining experience, and I'd certainly return if I were in the area. read more

However, I can't overlook the cockroach scurrying from one side of the bathroom to the other. Lots of windows in the front with a view of the parking lot so nothing special. I ordered the fresh vegetable rolls (called summer rolls other places) with shrimp. They were fabulous. They were very fresh and tasty. Then the Tom kha soup, it was one of the best I have ever had. The mushrooms were tender and fresh. There were fresh ripe tomatoes. The chicken was tender. My main course was the sweet and sour salmon. This was good but not great. The sweet and sour sauce was pretty good. The salmon was dry. Not enough cucumbers and hardly any pineapple. Their spicy rating is from 0 to 5 if you get food rated at a two it will burn your mouth to the point that you can't taste the food and it is not enjoyable at all. And I am a person that definitely eat jalapeños and spicy stuff every day. When it's so hot that I can't enjoy it at a level to something is wrong in spite of their disclaimer on their menu. Spent good money on wasted food I would recommend another place. They have a TV that is tuned to the negative news all day long. Depressing! The inside dining is the pits. Nice little neighbor dining restaurant that failed to impress. Not recommended. Let's start with service. The wait staff made no more effort than was required to serve the table. Service was a little slow, and no one greeted us when we came in nor thanked us for dining with them. They didn't bother to make sure our food came out correctly. We did get refills on our water glasses without asking, but they never offered ice. Keeping glasses filled is a bare bones minimum requirement for me. For such a popular place we didn't catch the magic. Overall, I wouldn't return just based upon the low-energy wait staff. Regarding their food, you need to know ahead of time about their inclination toward hellfire and brimstone level heat or it'll ruin your dining experience. Their 1 through 5 chart is way off, by a country mile off, felony level deception...you get the idea. Their measure of heat certainly doesn't come close to mine, nor dare I say most normal folks. I HIGHLY recommend you keep the food at a mild level or you risk being served an inedible meal. We ordered drunken noodles and a sriracha fried rice dish. The drunken noodles were fine, nothing to talk about. The sriracha fried rice had all the makings of an outstanding dish until I ordered it with medium heat. What I received was a dish so spicy I didn't enjoy any of it. Worse of all, they know that's a problem and put a disclaimer on their menu. Yeah, that won't ever happen again. Because they ruined an otherwise perfectly good meal, I consider the food to have been a total failure. The ambiance was simple, and though nearly every table became occupied while we were there, it wasn't noisy. I liked it. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. There's too many outstanding Thai restaurants in the DFW area that deliver on an excellent experience. We won't return. read more

I've been going to Roanoke and Dallas for Thai food for years, only to learn this is right down the street from me. I decided to dine in solo one night. The service was pretty good, but the food was absolutely delicious. They warned me not to order too spicy. The food was so good, I'll be back. It's dangerous to be this close! I see my 5 star review 4 years ago, has this place undergone new management? 2nd time my order was wrong starting with the Thai iced tea - no coconut milk, maybe this is Thai ice coffee - way too sweet or did they just forget! I'm sick & Thai food is my go to. So I'm not going to go out again to fix it. Let's see if the food still holds up. The same soup I ordered yesterday was very watery today, my mussamon curry was watery with large potatoes, very little flavor! I am so disappointed. $82 in a dinner no one wants to eat. We drove all the way here which is a 50 minute drive which my niece recommended. It is a small place near the donut shop. Inside is really nice, but if you need to use the bathroom, it is like going inside your garage really hot and sweaty. The service was really nice and attentive. The food does not come out at the same time, but it is okay. I ordered the crispy duck and the bbq pork skewers. The crispy duck with the shrimp chips was really great and tasty and moist. It does not look like much, but it does fill you up. I wanted to try dessert, but they forgot to ask if we wanted any. Overall, it was a good experience. read more

Thai Riverside is one of my favorite spots- I love dining in because the staff is attentive and helpful! They recently helped me with a large order and made it a seamless process, I would prefer to call in takeout orders with them any day over DoorDash or another delivery service. Having lived in Thailand, the food never disappoints. The papaya salad is phenomenal & the Khao Soi is exactly like our favorite spot in Chiang Mai. My one recommendation is to always ask for mild food level 0 or 1 and then add your own spice. I've found that is the best way to enjoy the food! read more

We got the chicken satay, which was mediocre, Pad kee mao with tofu and pad kee mao with chicken , egg fried rice for the kids and a thai iced tea. The restaurant was empty when we walked in, food arrived promptly and was good. The kids food was definitely overpriced, portions are on the smaller side for the lunch prices, $12 for the pad kee mao Will definitely recommend this place read more
