Had lunch with a friend today at this restaurant (first visit). We were warmly greeted upon entrance; very quaint dining area (not a lot of space). The servers were very pleasant and accommodating. My friend had the fresh garlic dish with chicken (which came with big chunks of veggies), and I had the fried rice with chicken. The lunch entrees include one spring roll (with honey sauce) and wonton soup. Everything was delicious - very fresh! We both enjoyed our meal. I will certainly return and plan to try other items on the menu. I now have a new "go-to" place! :o)

We enjoyed our dinner at "That Thai Place". The decor was really fun, service was great & food was just what we were hoping for. The Massaman curry had a nice flavor with warm notes of cinnamon, coriander & nutmeg & coconut milk. Our waitress let us know that they use blue crab in the crab Rangoons and those were delicious! Favorites of our friends who are regulars include the green curry and the fried rice.

This is one of my favorite Thai places in town! I love the Thom Kai soup and usually order it medium. Their egg rolls are crispy and delicious. Their panang curry is the best in town! They have wonderful lunch specials that include soup and an egg roll. The red curry is very flavorful! I can't say enough about the service here. I take my own container in because I always have leftovers!

    Crab Rangoon. Just do it.

Thai Place saved me when Bahn Thai refused to do takeout orders due to an unusually busy Thursday night. The Crab Rangoon was some of the best I've ever had. The appetizer was a very fair portion (at least 5 or 6 pieces were in the box). Each piece was perfectly fried, just light enough to provide a solid but semi-crisp coating around a very generous portion of crab and cream cheese mixture. The sweet chili sauce for dipping was a very palatable match for this appetizer. For my main entree I had the Cashew Nut Chicken which was very good as well. I asked for medium spicy but I think the lady on the phone just heard "spicy" which was evident based on the number of red chili flakes visible at first glance. I was able to scrape off some of the chili flakes to bring the flavor to more of a "medium" spicy. My only complaint for this takeout experience is that I think they should give you more rice. If I had dined in, I would have a heaping portion of rice on the side, and would have been able to ask for more if needed. My entree just came with a "scoop" of Jasmine rice, and a LOT of leftover space in the box. If that box had been packed full of rice, I would have been able to enjoy the rest of the entree's vegetables and cashew nuts, but with the sauce being too spicy, I really needed more rice. In short, it is a bit of a hike from where I reside in Midtown, but the food was very good so I look forward to being able to dine-in for a night of Thai food at Thai Place very soon!

My go to is the Pad Se Ew with Tofu. Delicious!! The summer rolls are large and perfect before any meal there. Highly recommend this Thai restaurant, as me and my friends love to go during lunch and dinner.

One of the best Thai places I've been to. Staff is super hospitable and amiable. The service alone is worth 5 stars. The decor is great. I somehow feel like I'm transported to an exotic location when I'm here. Lunch specials are fantastic and cheap. I always get the garlic chicken. All lunch entrees are served with an egg roll and a cup of wonton soup. But the garlic chicken is phenomenal. Definitely one of my favorites restaurants in Tally.

The dining area is not very spacious, but is intimate, which I really like. We enjoyed the background music, which was along the lines of smooth jazz. Our server was super nice and explained in great detail, the specials for the day. We started the meal with several appetizers: Spring Rolls, Fried Calamari, and Crab Cheese Wontons. We enjoyed the appetizers along with the sauces (except for the peanut sauce, which I didn't care for). For our entrees, we choose from the Specials menu, which was written on a board for all to see. I ordered the Red Snapper, which was fried and topped with carrots, baby tomatoes, onions, pineapple and cilantro. Had I been listening as I should, I would have asked to not include the pineapples or the loads of cilantro. The dish came with a side of rice. My husband ordered the ribs and chicken entree with noodles. He said the ribs were good; they were so tender that they slide off the bone. Both entrees were tasty; in my case, a quick fix was to push the cilantro and the pineapples to the side and enjoy my fish with just the veggies. To add to our dining experience, the chef and/or owner came out ask if we were enjoying our meal; love the special touch. We finished the meal with an order of ice cream that we shared. I am usually fine with just plain vanilla ice cream, but what we ordered was different and quite delicious. The ice cream is "home-made" and comes in exotic flavors. We choose the mango tea ice cream; it was mouthwatering! Overall, we had an enjoyable dinner and plan to return to sample other menu items. Note, if paying with a card, there is a fee (no fee with cash).

Also ordered the hibachi salmon which came with salad and other items. Tasty and my friend seemed to have liked it. Service was good and attentive. Came with a lot of peppers and mushrooms which we liked. Did wish there was a little more noodles though. A little spicy and sweet. Flavors were fine overall, not the best I've ever had but was solid. Maybe it's just the rising costs of everything but definitely did not expect to spend as much as I did especially in Tallahassee.

We just got back tonight and honestly - why didn't we send our food back. We had the Thai scallops in lemon grass - scallops were old and full of sand, the dish was horrible, rice was old (RICE!!!), the soup was horrible, full of house mushrooms with watery coconut flavor. The last time, we got eggplant that was raw and hard in a dish. Things have little flavor. Don't know why this place is popular. It's not very good. We kept mentioning to our waiter (not his fault) that it was bad but he just kept saying, 'sorry' . The service was very good, and the mango mojito was well crafted. This was all because the poor guy was host, bartender, server, and bus boy. The food, on the other hand, was a different story. We started by ordering Chicken 65 and Samosas for an appetizer. They took forever and came out barely warm. For dinner, my wife ordered the chicken korma and I the Chole (Chana) Masala. We also ordered the butter naan and the cheese and garlic naan. My wife's dish was okay. It's not as good as several other places in town. My dish was really weird. It's one of my favorites, usually, but this came out as a thin brown sauce with chickpeas that has just been taken out of the can...a bit al dente. This was not the usually thick masala that I've had many other places. This sank right through the rice. It was not good and I did not take it home as leftovers. The naan, for which you pay $3-4 was a single piece of naan cut into four pieces. The garlic cheese naan had garlic butter and a cheese powder of some sort sprinkled on top. Not a good value. There are other, more amazing Indian restaurants in town that we will continue to frequent. We've given this two tries and won't be back.
