    Greasy Shrimp Egg Foo Young
    Tj C.

I saw some good reviews so I thought I'd try it out. I ordered several things that totaled 70+ dollars. They told it would take 10 mins but ended up taking 25 mins cause they had to go to Walmart to get some scallops. When I finally got my food my egg rolls were so greasy that I had to wrap a lot of napkins around it to absorb all the grease while ate it. Ewww. When I got home my daughters egg foo young were super greasy too. She didn't want to eat it. When I came to look at it I noticed that whole bottom of the pan was swimming in grease. Lastly I ordered some orange chicken they left out my order. Unfortunately I didn't realize it til I got home 25 mins away. I love food. Just wanted to share this experience for all of you that love food like me.

    Hair

I order some low mein, wontons, and honey chicken from this place. As I was taken bites into my chicken I pulled a long piece of hair out of my mouth!! I then looked into the rest of my chicken and saw more hair!!! When I called them to complain, the "manager" told me the best they could do was offer me a free meal. Never again!!!

We have not ordered from Emerald Garden for a few years as they went down hill. Well, that has changed! We ordered take out last night and it was fabulous! The sesame shrimp and orange chicken were packed full in large containers. There was a wonderful sauce at the bottom. The fried rice was delicious, moist yellow rice loaded with perfectly cooked vegetables. Not the shriveled peas and carrots, but perfectly cooked broccoli, onions and bamboo shoots. Here is a picture of the leftovers. I would have taken a pic of the dish last night but it looked so good, we just dove in.

Pretty much what you'd expect for Chinese takeout. Nothing overly special but still delicious.

It's alright. Sometimes is good sometimes you isn't. So I guess depends on their mood.

I enjoyed my lunch here , last night I had dinner here. So I guess I have a new place for Chinese that's close to my job for lunch.

The sweet and sour chicken made me very sick. Can't recommend unless you want a super unhealthy way to lose a few pounds.

Food is really good, fresh. Love theory dumplings. Little while in the wall location, worth the wait. Too bad shipping plaza is so dead

Best Chinese takeout in town, and fair prices too. General Tao chicken is especially tasty.

Babies crying, people jumbled everywhere, and a buffet setup that was super packed together near everything else. The good: host sat me quickly and my server was polite and super quick. I guess they got this down to a science? The bad: everything else. How the heck are these reviews high? This place was packed but I felt like if I coughed, it would be all over my neighbor and the food. It was a cluster f. I did the buffet. While they had a lot of options, it was jam packed together. And you bumped into people trying to squeeze through some areas. The sushi was mediocre. The sweet and sour chicken was off. The fried rice wasn't warm. Even my tap water tasted funny. I couldn't finish my hot sake because it tasted off. The wasabi and ginger even looked funky (I will say the wasabi had a nice kick). Best part of my meal was leaving. The miso soup was the only decent part. I should have learned my lesson from previous Asian fusion places but I guess I trusted the reviews on this one. It's clear to me; a lot of people don't have an educated palate.

Something that vegans and non-vegans will appreciate alike. I'm also a big fan of their Pad Thai and Mapo tofu (spicy and tofu is not crispy). I went to sit in the car because they are take out only and I had a dog in the car. The woman at the counter is always so friendly and I adore her lilting voice. She came out to tell me my food was ready so I went into get it. The hot and sour soup had too much cornstarch in it and it was not as flavorful as I remembered. I threw it away. The Tahu Isi was tofu filled with veggies, cabbage, onion, carrots and battered and fried. It was good but a little greasy. I liked it though and would probably order it again. The oil probably wasn't hot enough. The beef rendang had a wonderful curry aroma. I put a few spoons of it over the white rice. It was spicy with a good flavor. The meat was tender but some pieces had entirely too much fat connected. One bite was all fat. I liked the spice but be forewarned- it isn't for the faint of heart. It was good but I wished they would trim the meat more but fat is flavor. I'll come back for lunch and see if the beef Mongolian is as good as I remember.
