    Chicken hibachi

I've been eating here for years. Seems like it's gone downhill the last couple of years. I used to get the crispy duck all the time. It's not so crispy anymore. Recently I got the lemongrass scallops over eggplant. You can see in the picture, they don't even really look like scallops. Kind of chopped up. When I pay $30 for a scallop dish, I want to see big meaty scallops with a nice golden crust. I got none of that here. And one of my scallops still had the "foot" attached to it. Referring to that rubbery connective muscle that connects the scallop to its shell. Those are supposed to be removed before cooking. The calamari was pretty good and the chicken wings were delicious. But there were elements to our meal that could've been better.

This is my nth time! Food is excellent as always. Service superb. This place hardly disappoints :)

Siam Sushi has the best Thom Kah soup in town. I've had almost everything on the menu from the sushi to the Thai dinners. There has only been one off day when everything was not good. One time out of 40 or 50! I love this place.

I ordered them from DoorDash. The specific sushi roll I wanted did not have the option to add cream cheese, however all of the other rolls did, for an up-charge of 55 cents (screenshot attached & circled in red). I asked them to add cream cheese to my roll and they up charged me 3 times as much (screenshot attached & circled in green). They charged $1.68 for cream cheese?! Yes, this isn't a significant amount but I felt it unethical that they charged my card more than what is on the DoorDash app! It should have been $0.55! Be careful of wrong up-charges at this establishment. Along with this, the sushi rice was mushy.

Took my sister there for her birthday and after enjoying our meal we decided to order dessert to go. We paid 132.00 (20.00 tip ) but made the mistake of not opening the container. For 9.00 we received 5 burned fried biscuits. Just .

Impressive little sushi and Thai joint smacked in a plaza with a Publix, a UPS, and a variety of other restaurants. Originally passed by there as I had a massive craving for noodles. That and it was close by to the movies where we planned to go after. We were sat right away in a booth. Our waitress was nice and polite, handing us the menus. The drink menu alone resembles a book. Anyway, he chose to get some beer. I passed on it and just had water. We reviewed the food menu and what do you know? I guess my craving for noodles wasn't that strong if I chose to get a sushi roll instead. Oh, and some miso soup to warm me up as I was frozen from the cold. The miso soup was hot and flavorful. It did its job in opening up my appetite, but more so, returning the feeling of warmth across my body. You've no idea how much I needed that. The sushi roll was an American Dream or their version of a green dragon roll. I was between this and another roll that was essentially a red dragon roll. Biting into the roll, I was tickled pink. This was some of the freshest fish I've had and to think it's readily available in Tallahassee of all places. Well, I'm flabbergasted. In comparison, he had chicken pad Thai. I can't say much except it was a generous-looking portion. Honestly this restaurant is worth five stars, but here's where the rating changes. Our waitress was nowhere to be found. We were on a time limit. We get a dessert menu from another waitress, but by the time we could place the order, we had to prep to leave for the movies. Needless to say, no dessert was had because we'd have had to rush. We ended up getting our sweets from the movie theater instead. It's a shame as I really wanted those Thai donuts.

Anyone who is close to me knows that I could eat sushi every day of my life! It is hands down my favorite food group in existence and thus, I am always in search of a new sushi restaurant to try. Overall, I am relatively new to the Tallahassee area and I've tried several sushi restaurants and Siam sushi is one of my top choices! I came here the other week with my classmates to celebrate a completion of a test and I was so impressed. The restaurant has an expansive layout and there are several different areas for both large and small groups. The restaurant was clean and the staff is very welcoming! Plus, they have lunch specials-for food and drinks. Who doesn't love that?! Most importantly-the food is amazing! I ordered both the Siam mini and The Godfather roll. Upon delivery of my food, I instantly noticed the substantial portions. I've never had a sushi roll this large and could not finish my meal. The ingredients were fresh and the flavor was delicious! I also ordered Crab Rangoon which was made with fresh crab and was perfectly crispy. And to round off the meal, I finished it with a glass of plum wine which was sweet and delicious. If you are a sushi lover in Tallahassee, this is the place for you!

I walked in and was greeted by the staff working at the Sushi Bar. They had huge smiles and seemed excited about the day. I asked if I could sit outside as the weather was just perfect, and they said yes. I sat myself at a little table and waited for the server. She comes out with a drink menu and food menu. I inquired about any specials and was happy hour. The server took my drink order and appetizer order for crab Rangoon. A different server brought out the tasty treat. It was warm and filled with tasty cream cheese and real crab. Yes real crab! It was the best crab Rangoon I have had in quite some time. What seemed like forever waiting for my sever to take my main course order. The appetizer was all eaten and my drink was empty. Finally, she came and took my order for Florida sushi roll, tempura roll, and chicken hibachi which comes with veggies, rice, chicken, and fried dumplings. The food came out perfect. The sushi was incredibly delicious. The hibachi was tasty. Lots of great flavors all around. The dumplings were my favorite part. The flavors were on point. Definitely recommend this place for the food. Again, drink went empty and had to ask another server for my check. My server came took all the dishes except for what I was going to box from my large hibachi order. She took all the utensils and so I had to use my hands to put it into the Togo container. I will not be seating in her section but will be back for the food. The other servers were great.

The dining area is not very spacious, but is intimate, which I really like. We enjoyed the background music, which was along the lines of smooth jazz. Our server was super nice and explained in great detail, the specials for the day. We started the meal with several appetizers: Spring Rolls, Fried Calamari, and Crab Cheese Wontons. We enjoyed the appetizers along with the sauces (except for the peanut sauce, which I didn't care for). For our entrees, we choose from the Specials menu, which was written on a board for all to see. I ordered the Red Snapper, which was fried and topped with carrots, baby tomatoes, onions, pineapple and cilantro. Had I been listening as I should, I would have asked to not include the pineapples or the loads of cilantro. The dish came with a side of rice. My husband ordered the ribs and chicken entree with noodles. He said the ribs were good; they were so tender that they slide off the bone. Both entrees were tasty; in my case, a quick fix was to push the cilantro and the pineapples to the side and enjoy my fish with just the veggies. To add to our dining experience, the chef and/or owner came out ask if we were enjoying our meal; love the special touch. We finished the meal with an order of ice cream that we shared. I am usually fine with just plain vanilla ice cream, but what we ordered was different and quite delicious. The ice cream is "home-made" and comes in exotic flavors. We choose the mango tea ice cream; it was mouthwatering! Overall, we had an enjoyable dinner and plan to return to sample other menu items. Note, if paying with a card, there is a fee (no fee with cash).

I would pass on the fried rice next time as $20 for a half a take out container of rice is very high. The white rice was perfect. I found it a little weird that whole baby carrots are in the dishes. I wish the portion size was larger for the price. The portions are the size people should eat, but at around $25 for an entree, you kind of hope you have some leftovers. We finished everything in one setting and would have eaten more if it was available. The decor in dining room is interesting. I don't love the chair covers. The service is great. The server explained all of the specials when I dined in. When I called to order, the lady on the phone was able to help me decide on what to order. I would like to make this a regular place for us, but with a price tag of $110 for a family of 4 (no drinks since it was take out), it will stay a special occasion restaurant. There is a 4% charge if you use a credit card. The prices also seem to change frequently from the menu.

My wife and I were in the mood for authentic Thai food and decided to check out Bahn Thai. Based on…read morepictures and reviews, it looked like that's what we were going to get. We were sadly mistaken... Our first warning sign should have been when our waitress was taking our order. They were out of the Masaman double beef curry. When my wife ordered an alternate item, our waitress would say they were out of it. They were out of or not serving about half of the items on the menu. This was sort of acceptable, as our waitress mentioned that they were going to close for a month starting the next day. Fine, we were already seated and might as well try other dishes. We ended up ordering beef pad Thai and Panang curry with beef. 30 minutes go by and we still haven't gotten our entrees. Meanwhile, there was a party of 3 next to us that came in shortly after us. They had already received their food. An hour goes by and still nothing. Meanwhile, the party of 3 had already finished their food and we're getting the bill. I went up to the waitress to check on the status of our food. She went to the back and came out shortly and actually said, "I can't really talk to them back there, but they look like they're plating your food now, so probably about 5 more minutes". I was very confused. Why can't you talk to the cooks in the back? Oh well, 5 more minutes we waited, then 10 minutes. Finally, we were starving and decided to walk out, letting our waitress know to cancel our orders. She replied, saying she would let the cooks know. This is the first time I've ever walked out of a restaurant. It was a pity, as I was really craving that Pad Thai. I was baffled that the party next to us, as well as other parties were receiving their food before us, though I did notice most dishes that were coming out were soups. I'm not sure if the cooking staff had issues with other food. A point to note, most patrons who were getting their food before us were white, while my wife and I are Asian. I'm not accusing them of being prejudice or racist. This is simply an observation we made. Needless to say, I won't be coming back. The hunt goes on for a Thai restaurant in Tallahassee.

The service was very good, and the mango mojito was well crafted. This was all because the poor guy was host, bartender, server, and bus boy. The food, on the other hand, was a different story. We started by ordering Chicken 65 and Samosas for an appetizer. They took forever and came out barely warm. For dinner, my wife ordered the chicken korma and I the Chole (Chana) Masala. We also ordered the butter naan and the cheese and garlic naan. My wife's dish was okay. It's not as good as several other places in town. My dish was really weird. It's one of my favorites, usually, but this came out as a thin brown sauce with chickpeas that has just been taken out of the can...a bit al dente. This was not the usually thick masala that I've had many other places. This sank right through the rice. It was not good and I did not take it home as leftovers. The naan, for which you pay $3-4 was a single piece of naan cut into four pieces. The garlic cheese naan had garlic butter and a cheese powder of some sort sprinkled on top. Not a good value. There are other, more amazing Indian restaurants in town that we will continue to frequent. We've given this two tries and won't be back.
