Been coming here for years and it has always been consistent, faces come and go but the solid basics of Pho have always been constant. Yet again today, solid choice, had the summer rolls and pho 7 special, they do an exceptional job on the summer rolls, made to order, just enough bite to the rice paper, perfect balance of shrimp and pork, Vietnamese basil really sets it off. I love the special with this caveat, not a big tripe fan, once you get burned with some tripe that wasn't washed enough, it's hard to go back. The broth here is very good, quite complex and always VERY hot. Service is consistent and efficient, again, the faces change quite often but the fast efficient service remains unhampered. Don't sleep on this place! Visiting Tallahassee to drop the child off at college. I love Pho and was afraid a place with only one seemingly authentic Pho restaurant would not be great. Coming from a town that has one in nearly every other shopping center, I expected trash. That is NOT what I got here. Ordered the P1 and that meat and broth brought a tear to my eye. It was SO yummy! The flavor was incredible and they didn't put cuts with excessive grizzle. The noodles were "different" but by the time I was halfway through, I forgot the texture seemed off to me. Service was great and the place was about as authentic as you could get - sketchy shopping center and all. I also got a Taro Boba to go and it was a little sweet for me but the boba was boiled right. I was travelling again (as usual) and often wonder where good Vietnamese food could be procured. I mean you can't go wrong with Pho right?!? I was soon to learn that was not the case. 1. Ambiance - 2 stars. The place needs a bit of a revival. From the group of people meandering outside to the sticky plastic tabletops on wobbling metal legs, the place exuded "I don't really care about my customers..." Water was served in somewhat greasy plastic cups. And to have our Pho's served in plastic bowls was a first for me. Not particularly positive. 2. Service - 3.5 stars. The lady that served us was the best part of the whole experience. 3. Food - 2 stars. This was probably one of the worst bowls of Pho I've ever had. The broth was flimsy and barely smelled of beef. The broth was lukewarm when served. The accompaniment was less than satisfactory with a few heads of basil. 4. Cost - 2.5 stars. Average for a below average meal 5. Overall - 2 stars. I tried Pho 7 today. It has turned cool and soup sounded really good. I had the grilled chicken spring rolls and Pho #2 rare chuck eye steak with meatballs. The spring rolls were ok the dipping sauce is fabulous. The Pho is really good and huge. Lots of noodles and very fresh veggies to add. Even the basil is fresh which it hard to find at other pho places in town. It was absolutely prefect hot and hit the spot. The broth is well flavored before adding extras. I will definitely be back. Pho 7 has good parking. The staff is very nice and helpful. Its pretty basic decor but clean. They have a huge menu with a huge vegetarian options. Prefect for a cold Florida day. read more

I've only ever had Take out from here. Every time it's perfect. My favorite dish so far is the House Special dry vermicelli bowl. It's really really good. From other Vietnamese places, I'm accustomed to this dish coming w a fish sauce dressing. This dressing doesn't have fish sauce on it as far as I can tell so I just add some when I get home. Otherwise it's perfect. The phô is very Good. The broth is savory and warming. They sell it as a side also which I usually crave if I'm feeling under the weather. One of the highlights of this place that other phô places don't have is the pickled daikon. It adds great complexity to the dishes. I've enjoyed every dish I've tried. I like to get it to go so I can add some heat at home. Nothing here that I've tried is very spicy so if that's what you're afraid of - don't worry! They serve everything 0 level heat. read more

I would like to preface that I've been coming to this place for about 3 years in college. They have some of the tastiest pho in town, and I've always been a repeat customer. My only complaint was the price of the pho, but given their previous portion sizes I never cared, as the soup was pretty large. Recently, they changed the size of the pho to about 60% of the soup I previously got, and there was no price reduction. $14 is FAR too much for that small bowl and I don't think I'll be coming back unless I'm dining in (assuming the portion sizes to dine in are larger, I've only ever gotten to-go). I have probably spent near a grand at this place over the years, and I'm pretty disappointed about the portion size change. Pho 7 makes amazing food but it's now unaffordable for me. read more

I have been coming to Pho 7 every so often since 2014, which is the year I came to Tallahassee. I am very glad to see it has survived through the pandemic and that business is still going strong (multiple groups have come in for to-go and dine-in orders since I came in). If you enjoy Vietnamese food, it is very close to campus, making it convenient to come to as a student. As a Vietnamese person (half Vietnamese, half Caucasian), it feels good that there is someplace familiar to go to, so close to where I live, making me feel more at home and culturally represented in the area. I'll admit I picked this place because of their catchy marque. Phò = Hangover Cure. I was planning on Phò tonight so I gave this place a shot instead of the place closer to my hotel. I ordered the Shrimp & Pork Fresh Spring Rolls (A1) and a bowl of rare steak & well done brisket Phò (P1). The spring rolls were good. As expected, nothing WOW except for a good amount of cilantro flavor (I looooove cilantro). The dipping sauce was better than other places I have been. I believe it was a good balance of peanut sauce and hoisin sauce. The Phò was just OK. The flavor of the broth lacked depth. I really had to dress it up with Sriracha and Hoisin, and still missed the mark. The ingredients of the soup were good. I personally would have preferred cilantro leaves instead of the variety of coriander grass blade they use. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Probably the best thing about the place. This was the most expensive Phò joint I have ever been to though. For the spring rolls, Phò, and an iced tea it was $18 before tip. My regular places in Houston are around $12 for the same thing..... This was my first time here, and let me say how impressed I was! We first got the krab cream cheese wontons as an appetizer and they were nicely stuffed and came out hot! They were seriously delicious. We decided to each get pho and boba tea. The boba was ridiculously good. I always try taro boba and this place's boba is high on my list for sure! Deliciously sweet! The pho was perfectly done as well! It was hot, came with a side of additional toppings, and it was a huge portion! We both ended up having to take some to go. Be careful though, you could end up creating a mess though as the red sauce and veggies easily fall out after you take a bite. It is very saucy, sweet, and savory and makes for a great appetizer. We decided to be adventurous and not get pho this time and get something new, I got the banh canh and she got the house special hu tieu bowl. Both were okay, nothing flashy or impressive. The broths lacked flavor in my opinion and it was just a very plain bowl as there were maybe like 4 small shrimps and a couple of fishballs for mine and small slices of meat for hers. Service was also a bit slow here as we waited a pretty good amount of time before getting served. No idea how the pho is here but I would love to come back and try. Hopefully, we will have a better experience the next time we come as you can tell this place is pretty authentic. read more

Went in to Pho 7 and had pretty high hopes. I was totally let down. I ordered the seafoods noodle soup. More like just noodle soup. They came out with a plate with maybe a dozen bean sprouts, one sprig of I think it's maybe basil? And a slice of lemon. My broth was basically clear and there was no seafood visible. At the bottom of my bowl there was maybe 5 miniature shrimp. I mean SERIOUSLY small. I had three small pieces of squid, one crab imitation crab stick. It was supposed to have clams. It did. They were I'm assuming the smoked clams from a can. There were 3 of those also. I don't plan on ever going back. The broth did taste descent and maybe some of their other options have more add ins than this one did. I understand seafood is expensive but the meal was $13 and I expected a little more bang for my buck! read more

I was surprised to see the place packed on a dreary, Monday night. The server seated me promptly, took my order, and I had a giant bowl of pho on my table in about five minutes. Pros: The broth was full of flavor and the spouts, jalapenos, and herbs were fresh. Cons: The ribeye and the brisket were way overcooked and the broth seemed to get oily toward the bottom of the bowl. Still, pretty decent pho. I would like to make a note that the most consistent aspect of Pho 7 is the service. There are only two or three servers I can think of, but they have ALWAYS been super helpful, friendly and personable. Great job! I will continue coming here, in hopes to update my review. read more
