11/15/25 - Cool new Thai restaurant less than 1 mile from where is live. Thai O'Clock is @ 4748 W Peterson about 2 doors east of Cicero Ave. I received a flyer in the mail. They have been in the neighborhood for about 2 months. The interior of Thai O'Click is very tastefully done w/vertical light tan strips w/a black background on the top & some red accents spread throughout the restaurant I came here w/my buddy for lunch & both ordered from the lunch menu. I ordered a dish w/basil vegetable w/green & red peppers, green beans, onions & a sprinkling of red peppers w/chicken added. I also added a chicken satay w/peanut sauce & white rice. My body ordered the same thing but he got 3 tiny pieces of shumai Our server & I think the owner too (sorry I forgot her name) was outstanding & super friendly. She came around on several occasions & asked if we needed anything else. I will probably be back when the desire for Thai food arises. Everything was good (although my curry was spicoer than I normally prefer.). The service was great and parking was easy at lunchtime.

Last month we ordered takeout because we wanted to try the new ownership. The food was good but the portions were appalling. I understand everything is expensive and I support capitalism but man alive we are being priced out of our own city. Unfortunately we will not be spending any more of our discretionary funds in Chicago, though we'll happily do so in the suburbs. Prices are slightly high, but I would much rather pay for good quality ingredients than cheap plates made with inferior ingredients. Went for a birthday celebration and had such a wonderful time. All the staff were so kind and accommodating. The space is small but it is very clean and well decorated. The food was overall excellent but the new Zealand lamb chops stood out the most. The spice level is low but they have a great chili sauce and jalapeno sauce to add to the food. A second visit to this restaurant renewed our satisfaction. The Tom Yum soup was delicious with fresh shrimp and a slightly sour taste to the broth. The yellow curry was excellent and there are many gluten free choices (a must for me) The chicken in my husband's dish was fresh and perfectly cooked. The menu says egg rolls (2) and they give u one egg roll cut in half. No one eats here it is deserted.

We have both ordered and dined in many Thai restaurants in Chicago and the suburbs. This was the most expensive and by far the most disappointing! The portions came in the smallest rectangle containers at a cost of approximately twenty plus dollars for entrees. We have never tasted Thai food that had absolutely no taste. A follow-up call was made to the restaurant with no apology . With so many restaurants that are more affordable, Thai food that is delicious, do not waste your hard earned money on a complete disappointment! read more

We sampled and shared the pot stickers (delish), generous and tasty chicken satay (peanut sauce yummy) and a wonderfully spiced Thai Larb Chicken Salad. We tried some entrees that were a bit different from the typical Thai fare and they did not disappoint. Go ahead and try the Spicy Basil Crispy Pork Belly. It's unforgettable.
