The combo platter was sooo good that I ordered more egg rolls the second time. Egg rolls were perfect-flavor and crunch. Ordered the pad see ew w/ beef and shrimp. This dish to me just lacked flavor where I thought Thai food was always bursting with flavor. It tasted kinda dirty like no thought was put into flavor. I had to add fish sauce, soy sauce and some Sriracha at home. But that's not to say I won't order again, just won't order noodles next time. read more

Ordered their Drunken Noodles and Thai Iced Tea with boba on the Door Dash app. Their Drunken Noodles with Tofu and Veggies was spectacular. Had no issues with it so I was happy about that. Their Thai Iced Tea with boba? Don't bother buying the drink with the boba. It was hard and there was no chewiness to it. I don't understand why they even bothered putting it into my drink to be honest because after trying one I didn't want anymore. Besides the bad boba I would happily just choose the Thai Iced Tea which was well made. I only took off one star because the food was delicious but the boba... please fix it. read more

So I like to try new places in town and I stumbled across this place as I was looking for Indian food, but the lines were long, and I didn't want to wait . I decided to walk into this place and the music was vibing, the decor was nice, and no line! Yay. I browsed through the menu, and ordered the pineapple curry fried rice. The picture from The menu made it look impeccable, but when I received my meal, it looked nothing like the picture on the menu (I thought it was going to be served in a pineapple like the picture showed). We also ordered the coconut curry soup with shrimp, and that was decent, but it had a little bit too much lemon grass for my taste; however, i ate it anyway because I was hungry, and it went good adding my rice into the broth. I would say come give this place a try, and see if you like the food. I would give this place another try, as the waitress was friendly, attentive to our water, and our needs. I order the stir fried eggplant with chicken and chicken larb to go. The chicken larb is okay but the eggplant dish was not. I have never taste a Thai stir fried dish like this before & I had ate a lot of Thai foods and Thai restaurants in the past. No favor in the stir fried dish, it taste nothing like what I would expect it will be. This is a waste of money. I spend money of a dish that doesn't even taste as good as the foods I made at home. I go eat at this spot every week or order takeout once a week. The food is spot on and so delicious. But sadly, I don't know if I will return. They flagged my number as a no call no show because they claimed " I ordered food and never picked it up". I explained to them that I always pick up my orders. I'm a loyal customer . I eat there so often. The lady says I need to give her my credit card information or the order will not be made. Like this is uncomfortable. They didn't even want to hear my side. I told her all the times I went to eat and she said "well there must be at least 1 time when you didn't come pick up". What?? I called last week and didn't have an issue. So based on her customer service , I don't even know if I will return. I was a customer of the owner's previous restaurant called the Papaya Spot. Where do I even start? I usually Doordash from here, but the menu on Doordash is limited. Decided to check on their website to see if they have their own delivery service. Surprisingly they did which was through Grabull (uber eats). Placed my order at 5:45PM and it was a lot of food as the bill was 195. I love their food, and know that it's always a long wait till I'd get it like usually an hr that I'd receive it. 6:11 PM the delivery person arrived and texted me that they were informed my order will be ready in 15minutes. 6:22PM the delivery person called me and told me that they did not have my order and asked if I had my order placed under a different name. They had me speak to a worker there and the worker said they never received an order, and asked where I placed the order which I told them I placed the order from their delivery service on their own website Grabull AND that I can provide them with the order#. The worker told me to hold so they can reach their boss because their boss who I'm assuming wasn't in that day might've received the order instead. Now WHY would someone who isn't at the location receiving orders? Shouldn't it be the restaurant receiving the orders? Makes no sense but whatever. They come back and tell me they found my order. By this time I also sent a screenshot of my order to the delivery person. I told the delivery person about the screenshot and they provided it to the restaurant worker and she told me it didn't show my protein for the dishes that required one. I told her its all chicken. She okayed and the call ended. 6:34PM I received a text message that the delivery was cancelled and the delivery person was not able to finish my delivery. I'm guessing it was due to the wait time which was the reason to why they cancelled it. The text didn't provide much info or direction for what I needed to do next. It just provided the restaurants address so I called them and they told me they were almost done with my order and not sure where the delivery person went and not sure what to do next if I'm able to send another delivery person over.....like HOW!? this is a service through YOUR restaurant I'm the one who has no clue what to do. Told them I'll call Grabull support and call them back. Called the support and was with them for a long time trying to figure out the status of my delivery and they were not much support to as they didn't have access to anything which was useless. FINALLY the website with my delivery information showed someone was heading over to my pickup my order. By this time it was 6:49PM. The delivery person arrived but waited for about 15 minutes. I called the restaurant for an update on my order as the last time I talked to them they said my order was about done so why is the delivery person waiting 15 minutes? The worker said my order was ready and they handed my order to the delivery person. FINALLY 7:08PM I got a text that my order was on the way. At this point I was tired and hungry (5 months pregnant). 7:26PM finally got my order. Looked through the order and to top it off I had missing orders. 6/12 dishes were missing like half the order. I had family over to feed as well so I was really upset at this point. Called the restaurant and informed them I have missing orders. That after 2 hours half my order was missing and instead of even getting an apology from the worker they blamed the delivery person....like no they're not even at fault. It was your fault that the order went to your boss who isn't even at the restaurant to begin with and you had 2 hours to prepare my order and not mess it up but HALF of it is not even here. SMH. Poor poor poor POOR customer service! The worker said they'll refund me the missing orders. I was too hungry and upset to talk more and the call ended. After a while I thought about it and called back. Good thing I did because the worker didn't even KNOW what was missing from my order. I provided her the list got her name and asked how the refund would be done, which she said it'll be by her boss who isn't there. Asked if there's a number I can call for an update and she confirmed with me I can just call the restaurant number and that she has my info down for the boss and for ref if I call back. The order I received one was the wrong protein instead I got beef when I told them all the protein for the dishes was chicken. BUT it's been 4 days and I still haven't received my refund so I'll have to call back and get an update on that as I see the total has already been charged on my card days ago. I love their food, but there's always an issue with the orders. Something always goes wrong. At this point I don't know if I can always go through having an issue with every order I place here. I always go out of my way to get the kapoon here. It's pretty spicy and has a lot of flavor with the coconut milk and curry paste. The broth is kind of thick, just the way I like it. I think it's better than the other places with kapoon in South Sac/Elk Grove. The papaya salad is also always a hit (lao style is the way to go). Service can be slow, but I can't imagine going anywhere else for either of those dishes. Boat noodle is also really good, and I love the Thai green tea. The owners are also very sweet, so it's always a pleasure coming back here. read more

I ordered togo pad see ew and it was delicious!!! It was cooked to perfection! I thought it was really sweet that when we went to pick it up they informed us that they had to remake it because the noodles were breaking. I am really glad they were honest and did not just leave me with broken small noodles! This shows how much they pride themselves in their food! Can I also add, they add lots of vegetables in their pad see ew which I love!! Lots of other Thai places like to skimp on their veggies!! Overall the food was fine. Nothing to brag about. We ordered the nem khao and it was bland and the rice was mushy. The boat noodle was too sweet and needed a kick. Boat noodles are usually sour, sweet, salty and thick! This was more like a beef noodle soup which is fine, but the boat noodle I'm use to from the Thai restaurants in LA are so much better! The Lao sausage was good. I say it's a solid 3.5 stars. I will update this review in the future as I plan to give it another go. read more

I go here out of convenience because it's down the street from my house. The prices are a bit higher than other South Sac Thai spots and the food is average. Ive tried their following dishes from here: pad se-ew, pad Thai, thai fried rice, mango curry, beef laap, mango sticky rice & Tom kha. Overall, all are okay and the only really appetizing dish is the mango curry and mango sticky rice dessert. I've noticed that every time I ask for medium spice or Thai spice, I barely get any heat. Sometimes they forget to make it spicy at all. The pad Thai has been my biggest disappointment as it's dry and lack flavor. The dishes just need more flavor/spices to better reflect all the wonderful & strong flavors in Thai cuisine. read more

Regular pad Thai is good , juicy and have right a mouth of sugar, According to a server she said their regular pad Thai doesn't have fish sauce in it which is surprised me. Now Ancient pad Thai, it is delicious sweet and sour, with fried shrimp and little chili flakes. I like the taste of ancient pad Thai more but will ask for more juicy next time. read more

Due to corona shelter in order, I tried this restaurant using DoorDash. I ordered the boat noodle, ancient pad Thai and Thai style papaya salad. They are all very good and taste authentic. The boat noodle soup was very strong favor which I liked a lot. Unfortunately, even though soup and noodle with veggie were separate, the noodle wasn't the best as it was to go, but I understand. I bet it would be much better for dine in. The ancient pad Thai was different than other Thai place. They used dry shrimp which made the pad Thai smell and taste better. They were not sweet either. So if u don't like shrimp and not sweet, you probably want to order the regular pad Thai. My wife love the Thai style papaya salad. Super tasty and flavorful. We ordered medium but we found it quite spicy. We kept crying but still eating non stop. I will order again and would love to visit this restaurant in person soon. There are couple items I want to try which were not on DoorDash menu including the fish cake and Goong Nam Pra. read more

This is my first time at Thai Mango. We ordered papaya salad, tom yum soup, ancient pad Thai and Thai iced tea. The papaya salad and iced tea was good but the soup and pad Thai not that great. The soup was too salty and sour, we had to ask for a new one. Then the pad Thai even worse, tastes like they put nothing but salt in there. Both of us had like 3-4 bites because it's not delicious at all. And we had to wait for so long. Upset enough, we asked for to go boxes and tell them that the pad Thai is really salty and we couldn't finish it. We brought the salad, soup and rice home and left the whole dish of pad Thai on the table so they can see how bad it is. Never again for me! read more

I like this place for Kao piek. The soup is tasteful but I've had bad experience a few times with customer service overall. Door dash experience: I've always door dash from this restaurant but recently I notice they've been so busy they don't really care about the quality anymore. I ordered Chicken noodle soup but specified for them to replace it as "Kao piek". Reason being is because they didn't have the option for kao piek on the door dash menu because they forget to put it back on sometimes and I've done this a few times where I had to place it as chicken noodle soup. Mind u, I've order from this restaurant at least 3-5 times a month. Anyways I guess they did not have any Kao piek and instead of canceling my order or even giving me a call, the person packing my food stated on the to go box and said "Sorry no more Kao Piek". I then called the restaurant to see why they didn't bother just canceling or at least give me a call. The lady then proceeded to say sorry they ran out of Kao piek and when i placed the chicken noodle soup that's what it is (basically like chicken pho but their version) and that they were too busy to call me. So instead of canceling my order or telling the door dasher that there wasn't anymore which I would of been fine and probably order elsewhere or something else from the menu, they just placed my order assuming I was ok with it. Indoor dining: I came here for the first time indoor dining since the pandemic. It was Sunday when it first opened at 11. There we're only 2 people in the restaurant. We were a party of 6. Everyone placed the order as I was the first one she went to and I order kao piek. Apparently the waitress forgot to put in my order. Everyone got their order except me. 10 min later after everyone got their food, I asked the waitress what's taking the kao piek so long. She went to check and said it will be another 5 min. I was fine no problem. More people showed up she went to tend to them and came back 5 min later again and told me that the something is wrong with their stove and it will be another 10-15 min if I still wanted. By the time she told me this everyone was basically done with there food so I just decided to cancel because I had somewhere else to go. I didn't leave the restaurant until 12:45. If she would just kindly had told me when she went to check where the kao piek was the first time around and told me she forgot I wouldn't had mind and just waited. Clearly the stove wasn't broken because there were 2 people that came in after us received their food right before she told me about the stove. I was already sitting in about 10-15 min after everyone got their food. I wish customer service here was better because the food is pretty decent. Many other encounters from this restaurant with customer service but only specified 2 unpleasant things that was not tolerable. read more

I wanted to like this place but sadly, the food was not to my expectation. The kasoy tasted like water, there was no flavor at all. The nam khao was VERY mushy and tasted like cauliflower. The papaya salad platter had a good variety of food but it would have been better if there was a divider to separate all the food so the papaya sauce doesn't get the other food. The papaya salad was very bland. I guess you can say the only decent food that I was able to order was the cucumber salad. The raw beef laarb was okay too.
