Best Thai food in town, can't get more authentic then here. They always have fast service and good quality.

I will have to agree with all the 5 star reviews. The food is delicious. I live in Houston and ill go as far to say this little hole in the wall place is better then most of the thai food in Houston. I come to Lubbock every year for the past 2 years to attend MBA class at Texas Tech and i eat here at least twice on my week long trip. read more

It's not terrible but also not amazing. The first time I went I had the shrimp fried rice and I was unimpressed. The consistency is nice and fluffy but it lacked flavor. A year later I decided to give it a try again and had the seafood pad Thai and it was pretty good. Still doesn't have the kick authentic Thai food has but it was way better than the fried rice in terms of flavor. It's a good place for food if you're in the area but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

You have to love people who are passionate about their food and are working hard to deliver great tasting food with their community. We were visiting Lubbock and dan no idea what to expect. We pulled up to the restaurant and was wondering if we were in the right place. We went in and reviewed the menu and decided it looked great. We ordered a lot of different menu items and were impressed with each. Most notably is the effort that they make to use authentic ingredients like Kafir lime leaves which I am sure are hard to find in Lubbock, I know they are hard to find in larger cities like Dallas. We had the spring rolls which came with both chicken and shrimp. This is the first time that I had chicken in a spring roll, but it was very tasty. The spring rolls were served with a delicious peanut sauce. Next, we had the coconut chicken soup. This was a very traditional version of the soup and had lots of flavor. For our entrees, we had drunken noodles and green curry. Both dishes were very traditional in style and had some great vegetables included in them. Nice hole in the wall restaurant. I had the Tom Yum soup with shrimp that was delicious. Very flavorful with 5 medium sized shrimp. The chicken with red curry stir fry was just ok, but we asked them to go mild on the spice, so that might have been why. Portions were a little on the small side. Lubbock is home to several excellent Thai places. It's difficult to rank them and I shuffle through them depending on my mood. This is the Thai place for vegetable and sea food. I could probably become a vegetarian if I ate here regularly enough. Be sure to check with the waiter about the level of spice. Generally I'm ok, but I like spicy. read more

Wow! This place is great! I hope they can get plenty of business considering the weird location. The decor was nice and the restaurant was very clean and staff was friendly. My wife and I decided to give this place a try since Thai is one of our favorites, The waiter brought out some complimentary shrimp chips for us while we looked at the menu. We ordered spring rolls and shrimp balls as an appetizer and both were very good. The peanut sauce for the rolls was particularly good. I also ordered a hot and sour soup which wasn't bad, but not the best I've had. For our entrees, my wife order Pad Thai and I had the Drunken Noodles with beef. The Pad Thai is probably the best I've had in Lubbock. I've had it at every Thai place in town and it varies wildly. The Drunken Noodles were spectacular! I had never tried this dish before, but it may be my new favorite. The noodles are wider than Pad Thai noodles and I had mine medium spicy. I would highly recommend Thai Kitchen. A great Thai place. It just opened about a month ago. You can recognized it by the covered parking surrounding the building. It has a nice, clean, homey atmosphere. It's family operated. There's a TV on one wall, appropriately with "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" on. Ordered the Pad Thai. It was the right mixture of salty, spicy, and tart. The bean sprouts, cabbage, and carrots were crisp and fresh. The noodles picked up the sauce well, but was not mushy. Very satisfying. The Thai iced tea was very refreshing. They don't have dessert yet, but that means you can fill up on other delicious Thai dishes. BYOB is also allowed. And the prices are very reasonable. read more

The best Thai food I have ever had, and definitely the best in Lubbock. The place is a very relaxed place that is family run, and the food shows. I had the chicken coconut soup, and there was a explosion of flavor with every bite. It is served with rice, and each table is brought shrimp chips while you are waiting for your food. The only word of caution I would give is that I ordered medium spice, and it was spicier than expected, but not in a bad way. I seem to compare all of my Thai food experiences to my favorite Thai place in life, Dao, in Chicago. I always stupidly think the experiences will be the same. I ordered the Tom kha gai and Pad see eiw with chicken. They were ok in terms of taste but the portions were SMALL. I got a styrofoam box for the noodles and when I took the broccoli out, the container was barely half full. Pretty solid Thai food here. There are lots of great options for Thai food in Lubbock, but none that really take it to the next level like some of the places in Dallas, Austin, or other metropolitan areas. Thai Kitchen is the only place (to my knowledge) that you can get Drunken Noodles, one of my favorite Thai dishes. We went for dinner on a weeknight, I had the drunken noodles, wife had the beef noodle soup. We both ordered some spring rolls. Drunken noodles were great. I'd definitely order them again. The beef noodle soup was good as well, but definitely missing something. The spring rolls are excellent. Thai kitchen is absolutely worth a try if you love Thai food. The service was great! Our food was served quickly and obviously freshly prepared. I had #28 Thai fried noodles. It came with chicken and calamari. My wife had Lard Na, which was also very tasty. We also ordered egg rolls and spring rolls since this was our first visit. The total cost was $23.00. So I was urged to come here based on the reviews and my love of Thai food. I ordered a plate of egg rolls, panage curry, and my boyfriend ordered the drunken noodles. The egg rolls were pretty good, but nothing out of this world. I have to say that I always order the panage curry, it my go to, and the one that I had here for was pretty decent. I'm always looking for a new place. This place is small hole in the wall that you must be looking for to find. The service wasn't great but it's a small family run joint, so that can be understood. The food was great. I had spring rolls that came with a great peanut sauce. My entree was Pad Thai. I think I accidentally asked for it to be extra spicy because my head was on fire by the time I finished. Walked in to the place and was feeling like Steph. Thats right, I got some curry. Im only giving a 4 star based upon the dish I ORDERED. I ordered the yellow curry and it was a little more mild than I am use to despite requesting it to be "a little bit hot". The prices are good, the building is appropriately sketchy and the covered parking is a nice touch. The other dish my party ordered was mediocre at best. The pad thai did not meet my expectations! I have had far better. It was a little dry and the seasoning just was not there. The red curry was reportedly tasty (Another person in my party ordered it).
