Pad Kee Mao Lunch special 5/5

Pad Kee Mao Lunch special 5/5, highly recommend! (Just FYI carryout only) Veggie egg roll was great too!

Ginger chicken - this was really, really good!!!

Wow, comparable to Elephant Thai in Edgebrook and also Lai Thai in Morton Grove. What I like about Thai Inbox is that it's just 5 mins from Old Orchard mall - and that's a big plus for convenience. It's easy to park in this strip mall and the place is bright and clean. The service was excellent and the food was really good. The presentation was kicked up a notch from my typical brown bag lunch and I enjoyed that. The lunch specials were all very tasty and I'd like to come back here to try the other dishes and some Thai beer that I'm unfamiliar with. Hope to visit Thailand soon, so I can get an idea of the authenticity of these dishes.

My first experience with Thai Inbox was at their Glenview location. I thought the food was fairly good, but were not exactly the flavor profile I was looking for. Though it may be that I ordered different dishes at this location, I was happy with what I got. I recommend the green curry, but I'm also guessing all their other curries are fantastic. I also really enjoyed the Garlic Dish with beef. The next day I was actually really craving this as my leftovers! I'm glad I gave Thai Inbox another go! I'm looking forward to trying some of their other dishes as well.

Decent Thai restaurant located off Skokie. Pad saiw eww - Good flavors Chicken basil - a bit salty Chicken satay - peanut sauce was delicious Cute atmosphere. Service was ok. The place was a little busy during lunch time so that was expected. I'd come back and try different dishes. I think this place is comparable to the other Thai restaurants in Wilmette.

GREAT Thai food, one of my favorites in the area. Prices are a bit higher than my local spots but their pad see ewe is so flavorful and delicious!! The egg rolls are fantastic too, definitely will be trying more on their menu the more I order. I ordered over the phone with no problems and picked up the food within 20 mins of ordering. Once you get there, you have to call again (their number is on the door if you forget) and they'll bring the food out to a table outside the entryway. You'll have to get out of your car to pick it up but that's totally fine because of how COVID safe it is! Other than it being slightly more expensive than other Thai in the area, this spot is definitely a north shore Thai staple.

Ordered delivery, the lady I spoke with on the phone was super sweet. She let me know that there will be a 45 min wait time. The delivery ended up taking 10 minutes! The quality was up to par. We will order again

Skip this place. I ordered beef pad thai and crab rangoon. The beef pad thai was unflavorful. The only thing I could taste was the fish sauce. Other than that there was no flavor! I was starving before ordering and couldn't even finish eating the pad thai for lack of taste and flavor. The crab rangoon should've been called cream cheese rangoon because every bite was cream cheese. I highly doubt there was any crab. The Thai Ice Tea was also bland. How can a Thai restaurant mess up thai iced tea? Not sure but was really disappointed in this place. I read the reviews ahead of time anticipating a good meal only to be disappointed.

We tried the lunch specials at Thai Inbox, carryout. Each lunch special is $8.50 and comes with a spring roll and a can of soda. The spring roll was quite tasty and the sauce they give you with it has a bit of a kick. The portion is the right amount for a meal. Partial to the container it comes in as well, a divided plastic container so that the spring roll doesn't get soggy from the food. Would say the food is more on the saltier end but tasty nonetheless.

Tasty food at great prices. Worth the extra 10-15 minutes to get there vs. places near us.

I've had many clutch spots over the years as I moved around, but it took me a minute to find my North Shore go-to. But here I am, a local for half a year now, and my go-to is Ni's, 100%. Lisa, the owner extraordinaire, is friendly, engaging, and an absolute customer service star. Not to mention a formidable chef. She has an obvious passion for food and its cultural history, and I love talking with her about it. The whole crew at Ni's is awesome and always happy to chat or handle any dish alterations. They clearly care about their clientele, and it's one of the things that keeps me coming back. My "must have" is the veggie summer rolls. I get them every time. Really, really good. And after living in the Vietnamese neighborhood of San Francisco for a few years, eating out almost daily, I've had my fair share of summer rolls. The produce at Ni's is always fresh, and I love how they cleverly use jicama for crunch. The rolls come with peanut sauce, but Ni's makes a delicious vegan fish sauce in-house that I go with almost every time. Banh Mi, Veggie Pho, Crispy Tofu, Fried Rice, I've had everything on the menu that is vegan or can be made so, and I'll gladly order them all again and again. This is not an all-vegan restaurant by any stretch (fear not, meat eaters), but Lisa goes out of her way to have options, and I've never been anything but satisfied. Even my kindergartner is into the veggie Pho broth and summer rolls, and he's not the easiest to please. Wilmette is lucky to have Ni's. I hope everyone knows that. They're tucked around the corner from the busier area of Central Ave and Wilmette Ave, and I've been doing my best to spread the word. "You've never been to Ni's?! Get the hell outta here.." So, if you didn't know, now you do. You're welcome.

The spring rolls were probably previously frozen. They were not served with nouc mam, but rather a bottled sweet chili sauce. I really hope they read this review. We want them to flourish and to succeed. Grab that fish sauce! Make a real nouc mam! Make a real crispy double fried fresh spring roll! Your broth is pretty good. I hope the next time we go back, we will see a more authentic approach to your food.
