$17 dollar green chicken curry portion with rice....
    Alex N.

Really disappointed to say after eating here since 2021 I think we need to stop coming back. Portions have gotten steadily smaller and more expensive. I know costs are high with this administration but I'm sorry there's no way a Pad Thai, Curry and Crab Rangoons should cost $46.00?!?! It was a good ride for a while but I think it's time to look elsewhere.

Wanted to get a quick bite to eat before heading over to Trader Joe's. The service was very quick to get food. The ambiance of the restaurant was a pretty typical small sit down, the fans were a little loud. The food was OK, the spring rolls (kids ate too fast before i could snap a picture) were the best part of the meal. The squid Kao Soy was a little salty for my preference.

We ordered food for a larger group of people about 15. The recommended amount that each small tray fed was about 6-8 people. So we ordered 2 small trays and some appetizers. The portion was more than enough and the food was prepared and packaged so well. Sometimes when we do carryout for larger orders the food can be difficult to transport and you risk getting things all over your car, not the case here at Thai Inbox. Each small tray was plastic wrapped then foiled, placed in paper bag and then in another larger plastic bag to hold all the items. Pad siew- with beef, cooked well and not over cooked noodles, the beef though was a bit tough. Thai fried rice- this wasn't how I was expecting though it was tasty nonetheless. We got chicken in this Thai fried rice, the rice was more soft than normal. Personally I do like a drier fried rice. Egg rolls- crispy, nothing to write home about, would probably not order again. Chicken wings- tasty and well cooked, the sauce to go with it was sweet and salty. Crab ragoon- this was exactly as I expected and I enjoyed the crispy and creamy contrast.

We had a large gathering and needed substantial portions that were tasty for our guests. We went to Thai Inbox for a couple of half pans of Thai Fried Rice and Pad See Ew noodles. The order was ready by the time they told it was going to be. Perfectly packed with plastic wrap and foil, paper bag and plastic bag (almost guaranteed to not spill at all upon transport). The food was quite tasty, the Thai fried rice was full of flavor and the pad see ew was done nicely as well. The chicken and beef though were a tad dry, but with large orders like this, it's difficult to get it right. I'd definitely order from Thai inbox again, the staff was helpful and was accommodating to our request to make the food not spicy.

I got to try this out today! I have to say it was amazing! The service was hands down great! And the food quality. If anyone wants good quality food and service I would say give it a try!

Did you know? Thai inbox has lunch specials. You must ask for the lunch special or be prepared to be overcharged. I came in exactly at 11:30 on a Monday and ordered two items, assuming I was going to be given the lunch special. After I got home, I found that I was charged $3 more per entree as the dinner portion, was not given the egg roll appetizer or the drink. I also gave them a $5 tip for the take out order. I was very disappointed to witness these practices at a local business. The food is good, probably one of the best pad thai in Glenview. However, I will not be back to support a business that takes advantage of a customer.

The "generous" discount we received the terrible food and service!

I ran out of wonton crisps but ate the ahi tuna as is the next day. The TY sushi roll with shrimp tempura and crispy basil was very flavorful. My husband enjoyed the pad see ewe. Though he got it as a hot spice level, he didn't taste much heat. We keep saying his taste buds are dead. Facts. My girls enjoyed the California roll and huge portion of tempura udon. The food came out as it was ready, so each member of the family didn't have food at the same time, but that was fine. Will be back! I want to try the rocky road bubble tea and other sushi rolls!

I hadn't been since their renovation and made it there last Thursday. It was really cute ambiance - I loved the interior designer's work. The place has options of seating - inside and outside, ranging from metal chairs to comfortable upholstered benches. We got the tom kha to begin with, which my husband, who's not vegetarian, devoured. It was truly delicious! We then got the Kung Pao with mushrooms and it was incredible - the flavors, the choice of vegetables, the sauce - all of it! We also got a chow mein but with rice noodles - this was the one dish that could take some improvement. Granted, the original recipe calls for wheat noodles, and that might be really good, though our rice noodles version of it was came out soggy. Our server had clearly had a long day - she was tired and forgetful (didn't bring us rice and we had a hard time flagging her down to request it). She also just brought us the check after dinner, without asking if we wanted any dessert. All in all, highly recommend this place for delicious plant-based food.

Ordering was a breeze and the guys were always open to a conversation or giving suggestions. The restaurant was clean and the meal was always tasty. Just a note but the further away you move from any major city the fewer and harder it is to find great Asian food. The suburb is lucky to have them. The pandemic brought new staffing. Some were pleasant with customers though one lady, a supervisor had the wrong ideas of what customer service and proper etiquette is. Just the basics of my final visit. I took my family for lunch. We ordered lunch specials and a couple extra must-try plates. Two specials hit the table and the third was left waiting for her meal. Unbeknownst to us in the moment, her food was handed to a single patron there for his lunch. The place was filling up with a lunch rush but not so many that had complicated orders. Many were ordering similar lunch specials. Kung pao lunch special was popular. When her order finally arrived the supervisor realized she had given the wrong plate to the customer sitting some tables behind us. Mind you ten minutes had already passed. She quickly went over to him and asked what he had ordered. She then took the plate he was eating from and handed him the fresh plate. He was still holding a half eaten egg roll in his hand. Then she brought the quarter eaten plate and placed it in front of my mother. Before she could leave I stopped her and asked her what she was doing. She simply stated that was her lunch order. I told her she handed my mother someone else's food that they were eating and I watched the whole thing. Why didn't you take that to the back and make a completely new plate of food?! I paid the bill and got the F**k out. That's gross. Also, you gave the other patron new food but cannot do the same for our table?? This place is dead to me. If she could do that, it beckons the question of what else is happening behind the scenes.

Not may restaurants serve Jasmine tea. It was such a treat that they had it! Delicious. For appetizers we had the Vietnamese spring rolls and the pork belly. Outstanding. Everyone you just have to eat here it's so good. The pork was crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned, and chewy on the inside. Juicy too. It was so good. I wish they had just brought out a small bowl of it. The spring rolls were generously stuffed and the peanut sauce it came with was on point and only enhanced by the table hoisin sauce. I would eat here daily if I could. Anyone who lives in this area is so spoiled to have this down the street. For the Pho, I had the meat combo so I got a little bit of everything. My only feedback would be that the veggies that come with the soup are sparse and I wish more Thai basil came on the plate. They loaded up on the bean sprouts though and that was awesome. Really I am being picky and everything here is top notch. The place is smaller so I'd recommend visiting on off-peak hours so you can spread out and relax with some tea. I really enjoyed myself here.
