Pad Thai lunch (I asked for without rice)

I have been going to this space for ten years and it's still my favorite Thai restaurant around the area.

Pad thai,Chef's Special Seafood, Combination Fried Rice

Food was good, great service. We ordered pad thai which was good, fried rice was alright but the seafood was not great, kind of fishy. Would go back just for the basics of pad thai or curry etc

Everything we had was delicious! The fried fish was our absolute favorite! Beautifully cooked and full of savory flavors. The fried rice was also super rich in taste and the variety of components in the rice was amazing. Yellow curry was perfect. The mint gelato was super good too! We don't typically order dessert but this was 100% worth it. The service as great, the server was very funny and nice. Simple interior inside, not super updated but who cares when the food is delicious!!

Ordered food to go. I picked them up on a timely manner. No issues there. Good food! Thank you !

Sorry after we pigged out. I usually don't leave reviews unless really good.

Um, my godmother and I have small stomachs but we pigged out! My gosh, my stomach is gonna explode. The food is so flavorful without being salty. You can ask for mild curry like me lol - I'm so glad they asked. Just really great tasting food. The owner / front guy gave great service! Go eat here! Food pricing too! Sorry for the poor pics. It's after we pigged out.

Updated post and long-overdue review!…read more This is, by far, the best authentic Thai restaurant in Azusa. They're the only place in the area that serves homemade coconut ice cream, and it's absolutely worth trying. Their mango sticky rice is also a must-have! The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and always amazing. The service is excellent, and while the restaurant is small, it's warm, welcoming, and inviting. They also have private parking, which is a nice bonus. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Thai food. You won't be disappointed!

Out in Azusa lies this little Thai hole in the wall with maybe enough seating for 15 people. If…read morelooks are deceiving this is the place where you will be deceived because they serve some delicious dishes. Along with that good service and care from their staff. For starters I had their Roti with Yellow Curry which was tasty and savory. The roti was buttery and soft and you could easily have lots of it but then you would miss out on the over delicious items. Next was some classic Pad See Ew with chicken which once again hit the mark with its savory flavors and texture from their noodles. One of the items I always get in every Thai restaurant is the Spicy Eggplant with Basil as it potentially is my favorite dish with all the flavors and textures. Lastly you can't end without having some curry. This time it was pineapple curry that has so many flavors from sweet, savory, salty and just yummy. A nice and delicious experience of all the food and if the Mango Sticky Rice was in season I would have ended it with that.

It is a wonderful experience to be remembered after visiting this restaurant only once. It was…read moreparticularly heartwarming that a staff member shared a photograph of herself with my service dog. I realize it may be uncommon for guests to bring a service dog in a stroller, but our small dog is a diabetic alert animal that needs to remain close to the breath, sweat, and skin of the diabetic. Although this is intended to be a restaurant review, I am truly grateful that this restaurant is so welcoming to service animals. Regarding the food, the kitchen always hits it out of the park. We ordered two appetizers, specifically the crispy pork and fried calamari. Our entrees included pad Thai with shrimp, pad see ew with chicken, Panang curry, and red curry with beef, which I believe was served with roti. We also enjoyed Thai iced tea and Vietnamese coffee. I was looking forward to their mango sago and mango with sticky rice, but unfortunately, they were out of mangoes. I unfortunately forgot to take photographs of the food, as I only remembered to do so after it had already been placed into the take-home containers.

After visiting Rubel Castle we were looking for Asian spot to have some lunch. We ended up choosing…read moreAri's! We tried several dishes at Ari's Thai Eatery and overall had a good experience with a few definite standouts. We were sat immediately upon entering around 1240 pm on a Saturday. Inside is more upscale and contemporary, not what you'd expect to see, but definitely welcome. Shirley waited on us and made it a fun experience, often adding into our comedic natures. We started with the Kra Pow Duck Breast w/ Fried Egg over Rice. The duck was a little fatty, but that's somewhat expected with duck. The sauce was a little salty for me, but it also had a nice sweetness that balanced it out, along with a noticeable basil flavor. The fried egg and rice complemented it well. We also ordered the Crab Fried Rice. There was plenty of food on the plate, but the crab itself was pretty finely shredded throughout the rice, so we didn't really get much crab flavor. Overall, the fried rice had a very mild flavor. It came with cucumber and garlic as garnish on the side and an egg on top. Definitely a generous portion, but I would have liked the crab flavor to stand out a little more. For another entrée, we had the Garlic Pepper with pork as our choice of protein, served with steamed broccoli and carrots. For me, this one was just slightly above average. It definitely lived up to the garlic in its name because there was plenty of garlic flavor. The sauce was smooth and more of a light, water-based sauce rather than anything thick or creamy. It wasn't particularly memorable, but it wasn't bad either--just a pretty average dish overall. The Crispy Pork Belly was probably one of our favorites of everything we tried. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and was crispy all the way around while still having that tender pork belly texture inside. It came with greens, cabbage, cucumber salad and a sauce that reminded us a little of honey mustard. This was definitely one of the dishes we would order again. We also ordered a couple of Thai Teas. They were pretty middle-of-the-road compared with Thai teas we've had at other restaurants. One thing we actually appreciated was that they were a little less sweet than many other versions we've tried, which worked better for us. Overall, there were some hits and some more average dishes, but the portions were generous and the Crispy Pork Belly was definitely the standout of the meal.
