    Basil fried rice
    Noel H.

I don, know about everything else; however I was served the most pathetic basil fried rice I have ever had the misfortune to come across. The chicken was super tough and chewy and the almost complete lack of basil (2 small pieces in the whole order) and other important ingredients left me feeling like l had the money stolen out of my wallet. The waitress should have been ashamed to even put that on the table. I asked for some more basil and she brought me a dish of sauce and garlic with a little basil underneath. I almost forgot to touch the subject of flavor or the lack there of , this was basically just spicy rice with a few mediocre ingredients. I have not left a review in years and went out of my way for this one so you know I speak the truth.

This is my 4th time having Thai Chili and it never disappoints! When you walk in, it just feels naturally comforting - totally Thai vibes. The service was amazing, friendly and quick. Now let's talk about food! When me and family orders, we usually pick a dish from each category (not everything of course) and do family style. Because this was a couple weeks ago, I remember ordering basil with eggplant choosing beef as my meat and it was so good. The other dish my husband had ordered that I remember loving more than my pick was the panang salmon, absolute perfection. The only thing that was a tid-bit downside when I had asked my husband and mother-in-law what they thought of their food was that one, the soup which I don't recall what it was but it was one of the tom yum soup, it was more on the sweeter side and their Thai drink and coffee was very light, you couldn't really get the depth of taste from it which I agreed on because I tasted it myself. Overall, everything was very delicious. I'll always come back here regardless, it's one of the best Thai restaurants in town!

Panang u can see how watery it is....not good
    Krystle A.

Meh mediocre at best. Lacks flavor, super watered down, and even more expensive than other Thai places and oh yea it does NOT include rice with their entrees. We originally wanted moo dang or lotus Thai but everything was closed on Sundays and we were craving Thai so we gave this one a try. Their prices are at least $2-4 dollars more than the other places and they don't include rice. The pad Thai was so bland and tasteless, noodles were not that great. The pad see ew was mediocre not horrible. The panang was a huge disappointment, super super watery and lacked flavor and lacked enough meat. Service was alright, ambiance all right too. We ordered to go. We won't be coming back.

Rice is extra, not included in meal. NO fried rice either, very disappointing. Their version of crab Rangoon is called cheese puff, at least you get an even number. didn't really want to make the food spicy, thought that was the point of Thai food to make Thai hot? No orange chicken, they have golden chicken made with sweet &sour sauce, weird. Asked to make Thai hot she looked at me weird.Wasn't hot at all. The rice was bland so added the sauce from the chicken to it. They do charge for tea refill $3 each and everything is ala cart Service was slow even though we were the only table occupied in the whole place.

One of the best Thai restaurants in Reno. The food is always fresh and served hot! What the space lacks in modern ambiance, it makes up for with the quality of their food and affordable drinks. The team is always attentive and does their best to take care of you.

Stopped in for lunch with the fam. They got us in and served us quick. This is a comfortable place and wasn't overly busy. They were very attentive and took good care of us. My wife loves Curry Puffs and was just talking about getting some last week so the timing could not have been better. They were good, with a golden crispy exterior and tasty filling. I then ordered the Salmon Panang Curry. The fishy was flakey and cooked well with a flavorful broth teaming with veg. My son had his favorite, Pad Thai, and my wife got some Green Curry with Chicken. Both of which were also very good. I had a Thai Iced Coffee that was just what I needed on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Overall this was a very positive experience that I was quite pleased about.

I loved the spice level of my pad Thai with pork. They have a scale of 1 to 5, and I got a 3. I wish I got a 5 for more spice, but I wanted to play it safe. The service was so good and attentive. The food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. I recall seeing that if you pay with cash, the bill is cheaper which is really nice.

Great place of youre craving good Thai food. Freshly used ingredients and seafood. I decided to try their shrimp pad Thai noodles and it's a must. Fast service and great ambiance.

Are you getting the hankering for some good Thai food? Well, Thai Chili has easily become one of our favorites. Located in Midtown, this restaurant has been a staple for quite some time in Reno. We were feeling something different, so I opted for the cashew chicken (without shrimp) and my husband got the Pad Prig Sod with chicken, both were AMAZING! They come with a side of rice, no extra charge. I definitely preferred my cashew chicken dish more, and both dishes could have been more spicy (our preference), but it was delicious. We came in on a Sunday, and it was quite busy (always good!). The service was kind of slow, but nothing too crazy to bug out about. Regardless, the food is good, the restaurant is cozy, and overall it's a good time here. Side note: the pad Thai is indeed, delicious, but wanted to review on something that isn't a typical dish!

Tom yum gong soup. Sweet and sour. Amazing!

Best Thai food ever! Absolutely perfect. Terrific flavors. The service is wonderful. Highly recommend.

We ordered the yellow chicken curry and the chicken Se Ew, and both were SO good! The yellow chicken curry had so much flavor and was absolutely delicious. The Se Ew was also really good and had such a great flavor. I was so happy with everything we got! The people working there were also super sweet and helpful, which made the experience even better. They have seating inside and outside, so it would definitely be a cute place to sit and enjoy your food. I'm already wanting to go back the next time I'm in Reno to try more things on their menu. I would definitely get the yellow chicken curry and Se Ew again because they were that good! If you're in the area, you should definitely go try this place. However, this was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. - Yellow Curry: This was good and came with a bowl of rice. How it was served gave a very homey feel. - Mango Sticky Rice: The rice is sweet and the mangos were good. However, there is a big difference in the amount of mangoes and rice they serve per plate compared to the first time we were here. Overall, the food tastes good and the service is okay. I am disappointed in the lack of consistency with plating and amount of food that is served. I would not eat in the restaurant in the future, but prefer take out. The portions were generous with plenty of leftovers to pack up in takeout boxes for enjoying for another day. My favorite three were the ahi tuna, the black cod and the brilliant asian/french mash up of red Bean Creme Brulee. I also need to mention, I loved the lamb tenderloin. I am not a big lamb fan, but this New Zealand lamb was tender and non-gamey. The owners did an outstanding job of timing the dishes and engaging with our group while also taking care of other diners including non event patrons getting getting take-out and inhouse menu dining. The space is very small, but even with and almost full house, it didn't feel cramped. To start, you can't go wrong with the enthusiastic welcome we always receive. Then quickly seated and wine poured. The 2026 CNY menu was fabulous, with some great surprises. The ahi tartare portion anywhere else would have been a shareable appetizer. But each person was served a large portion of delicious fresh ahi. Mmmm this course and a glass of wine could be dinner alone any other evening. The soft creamy rich egg custard was hidden under a thick seafood gravy. I really enjoyed this unique dish. The miso black cod is always flaky and delicious. And the crab fried rice it's nestled on also never disappoints. The rich New Zealand stir fried lamb and shiitake mushrooms over pea shoots was a fabulous hearty dish on this chilly March evening. The braised short ribs were so tender no knife was needed, they flaked apart with the fork. And the e mein noodles were perfectly al dente. The dinner wrapped up with a crème brûlée that only Kwok's could pull off - red bean. Creamy smooth. Not overwhelming. The perfect burnt sugar layer on top. The regular menu is just as delicious. Small inside seating area, so recommend always make a reservation. In the summer there's a fabulous patio area out front. Limited street parking.

Our server was very knowledgable on their vegan items so it helped in our decision making. We ordered the Mushroom Salad, a Tofu Pad Kee Mow, and their Tofu Satay. As for the satay, they accidentally brought out chicken satay at first, which our server immediately noticed and rectified the issue. When the tofu satay came out, it ended up being skewers of fried tofu puffs that you'd dip into their peanut sauce. While delicious, I was hoping there would be more creativity in layering or marinating the tofu with the sauce like the chicken satay would have been. As a Californian, I appreciated the lower pricing for their menu items and found it fairly inexpensive given the times.
