Fun fact, I live less than two miles from this restaurant. Finally tried it earlier this Summer. I have now eaten here 14 times in the past 12 weeks. Yes, and yes. It's definitely that good. Food: Amazingly delicious, on point and consistent. Classic Thai ingredients prepared perfectly by chefs who wield their skills to create and customize each and every order. I have enjoyed the sweet n sour pork and the sweet n sour chicken. The sauce is robust in flavor, and they make the lightest sweet n sour sauce I've ever eaten. The vegetable cut of this dish offers large thick juicy bites of pineapple, cucumber, bell peppers, and onion. There's something magical about the inclusion of the cucumber here. I have enjoyed the basil on fire (have had the beef and the chicken versions). Yes, the dish is spicy. The fire is real and I'd caution you not to think lightly of spice levels of Thai food. A "2" will do you well if you like to eat fire as I often do. Aside from the spice, there is the obvious fresh basil component that pairs excellently with both versions. Fresh asparagus in this dish is particularly good. Lastly, I highly recommend the beef prik king. Tender strips of beef in a tangy, sour sauce with green beans and carrots. It sounds underwhelming, but I'm telling you this is a hidden gem on the menu. My gf is 14/14 for ordering the pad Thai. She had chicken on the first go. "Amazing," she declared. I concurred. The second go she had shrimp. Not nearly as good. Since then, it's been 12 in a row. Chicken pad Thai is the clear winner. As good as my dishes have been, and they have been incredible, I always find myself stealing bites of her chicken pad Thai. Service: The staff is extremely knowledgeable, insightful, kind, and hardworking. They take their work seriously, and they're busy nightly; as a customer, offer them a smile, encourage their efforts, and thank them for cooking and serving you. Ambiance: The ambiance is on par for a Thai restaurant in a strip mall adjacent to a 7/11. Truly, it's quaint and cute. The restaurant is clean and the kitchen is open enough to see and hear people working very hard at their craft. I have not yet tried any of their drinks or desserts. We dined in once and received excellent food and terrific service. The other 13 times we ordered takeout. The food was consistently delicious, well prepared and served to us in a timely manner. I have been here twice before but at lunch time. Tonight I wanted to treat myself for Mother's Day. I was wearing my church clothes and feeling pretty good. The first thing I noticed is the gal at the counter asked the guy in front of me what sauces he wanted for his to go order and how many people were going to share the order. He said I want all the sauces and two people. She proceeded to get him the appropriate number of plastic utensils. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and crab rangoon. She said it would be 10 minutes so I was browsing through their merchandise. Two servers came up to the display after I was done and started speaking in their language and shuffling through the items. I asked if I had made a mess and apologized if I did. She answered the purses aren't priced. How odd I thought, why display them for sale without a price? When they gave me my order I wasn't asked what sauces I wanted and how many people for the meal. Since I have silverware and hot sauce at home I didn't say anything. The customer service could definitely improve. I know there is a cultural difference but we are in America! The noodles were soggy and just blah. The rangoon were made with fake crab not cream cheese. They were overcooked. There was no one dining in except a couple who had just walked in. I was looking for a new to me Thai restaurant so since I was headed up towards Spanish Springs I decided on Simply Thai. They have a lovely if smallish dining area, with thematic decor. I was immediately seated by the pleasant staff. It was early for a Saturday evening so I was not surprised at the few people in the restaurant. I was surprised however at the constant stream of take-out customers coming to pick up their meals. I had difficulty making a selection due to the extensive options on the menu. Don't let the exterior of the location fool you (tiny gas station shopping center), Simply Thai is adorably decorated inside: fabric table cloths and napkins, pretty umbrellas hanging from the celing, Thai objects throughout the dining area. We've dined at Simply Thai a number of times. Service is ok but they serve delicious food: Pai See Ew (Street Noodles), Avocado Curry (Traditional Yellow Curry), and Pad Thai are among our favorite dishes. We ordered a pickup order for pineapple fried rice, avocado curry w/chicken, and chicken satay. Would recommend all 3. The peanut sauce with the chicken satay is delicious. We get the pineapple fried rice every time we eat here and it never disappoints. We've tried 4-5 of the different curry's and the avocado is our favorite. This is my go to Thai place, and I haven't been here in over a year. I usually get it to go, but decided to meet a friend there and when I walked in the ambience was very clean, there was quick service in getting seated. This was during lunchtime, so there was a few people in there, but not too busy where you would be concerned about the service. The menu had so much to offer that it took me a little bit of time to go through it all and they even had a lunch menu. I got my usual Thai fried rice and pumpkin curry. I already knew it was gonna be way too much but those are my two favorite things that I was craving and I knew I'd have enough for a meal or two afterwards. The portion size is quite large and definitely would say that is enough for two people. Getting the lunch special you get a a little bit more such as the soup and something else I can't remember. But the prices were right. For a regular meal I would say it's about $15-$17 a plate but you better factor in that you are getting amazing flavor, fresh ingredients, and a good size portion. In comparison to the other Thai place in town, this one is my go to. I had both places within two weeks and have to say simply Thai has more flavor and probably would prefer this one better. This is a great place to go, and I do have to say if you haven't tried their sticky mango rice, it's absolutely amazing! It is a little dessert for around nine or $10 but it's unlike anything you've had before and it's really just so delicious. A good way to end the meal! read more

I was excited to try this place as it had good reviews but after eating there, I was very disappointed. The curry puff lacked seasoning and curry taste. The Tom Yum also lacked seasoning and I was expecting it to be more sour, also couldn't taste any lemon grass. The panang curry and peanut sauce for the spring rolls was good though! Another thing that was off putting was the amount of dirty things we were served. Our forks had dried rice on it and we were served "clean" bowls that were dirty and had some sort of sauce on it. This place offers great Thai food! I do like how they have a picture with each selection because I was able to select a delicious meal. The appetizer was very good. Even though they got the wrong order, they were able to make the correction immediately. The service was great and the lady was very nice and helpful. They unfortunately only had one cook working but the food didn't take long for it to come out. The decor is very pleasing and comforting. We love this place so much. Spanish Springs is lucky to have them. They know our usual, but always ask if that's what we are having. I've been to Thailand multiple times, and their flavors here do not disappoint. Be sure to specify spice level if you are not a spicy food person. They are super busy with takeout/food app orders, so if you are eating in please be patient. They can only cook so much food at a time. read more

First time in to Simply Thai We got seated right away we were there early around 3:30 on a Sunday the waitress was very sweet took our order. The wait for our food was not long at all. We ordered appetizers, potstickers I really enjoyed them they were cooked just right and I like the sauce that they bring with them we also ordered egg rolls, a little bit greasy but they were delicious I like the sweet and sour sauce they serve with that. I really wanted a spring roll with the peanut sauce but they ran out of peanut sauce which is very odd being a Thai place so that was my only disappointment they did not have peanut sauce... All in all it was very delicious food we ordered wonton soup and it was really good as well. Well..the food was pretty good, but the service was not - the waitress kept chatting with another table and kept forgetting about us - I asked for sriracha and I couldn't eat until she brought it since I needed it for the noodles. Door dashed an order or Pad Thai Noodles x2 one with tofu and one with chicken. Also got the street noodles and the variety appetizer. All were really yummy. Mix of different spice levels but as someone who doesn't like a lot of spice the spice level 1 was just enough. My wife likes spice and she got level 2 and she said it was good for her. The meals didn't make us feel heavy or bloated it felt light and clean. Would order from here again 10/10 read more

The best of the best. My absolute favorite Thai place in town, my boyfriend and I come here weekly. The sidewalk noodles are our favorite, with the Penang curry as a solid second.
