8/12/23 Shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce ordered(to go with lunch). The service wasn't very kind or welcoming. Hopefully the spring rolls are good! Paid for the ordered and waited until it was ready! Luckily, the worker got much better! Said order was ready and handed it over with good day wishes. Think you! Pretty empty restaurant. They don't have it set up to eat inside. Pretty messy. Chairs stacked up.....just noticed leaving....take out only sign. FYI! Lunchtime! Order split The shrimp spring roll with peanut sauce was ginormous and really good! It was fresh and delicious and the peanut sauce made it better! Mother said hers was really good too! Turned into good service at the end and really good shrimp spring rolls!! Recommended!

This is my second time ordering from TC. My first time was a few years ago. I ordered two orders of sticky rice for pickup. Once I got there, she told me it was almost $20 I asked her to repeat the cost because I was shocked it was so pricey. I figured it was around $10 or so. If you've ordered rice before, it shouldn't be that costly. I decided to give TC a second chance. I went on their website prior to placing order over the phone for pick up. I ordered Mongolian beef for $13.99 (states on menu on website) and asked if rice came with it. She said yes. When I got there, my total was $18.xx and told her to keep the change from a $20. Not only was it not $13.99 but look at what I got! Did not taste fresh at all either. Not going there again. Lesson learned.

    Spicy chicken lunch

Was good, but I ordered during lunch the spicy chicken with sticky rice and it didn't come with a lot of meat at all. I'm a lite disappointed bc normally I get something from Bowlzeye next door and was expecting around the same portions. It's still good though

All the items we ordered were so dry, had definitely been cooked way ahead of time and reheated in a microwave. 1) Pineapple fried rice: completely dried out with pieces of chicken meat too tough to chew. 2) Steamed rice: also dried out from being microwaved. 3) Fried whole tilapia: the tilapia was small. The veggies in the green curry covering it were soggy. 4) Tom yum seafood soup: the flavor was good but it contained very little seafood. 5) Egg rolls: practically empty inside! We ordered delivery. When it arrived 2 of the styrofoam containers had leaked. They need to make the delivery orders more secure. We will not be ordering from Thai Chili again!

Since I'm in the Clovis area more often these days. Each time I get gas in the same plaza as Thai Chili I decided to give this Thai place a shot as they had pretty good reviews on yelp. When I entered I was instantly greeted by a woman. She asked me if it was for there or to go. It was Togo so she gave me a menu and I instantly wanted to see if they had ground chicken Thai Chili Basil which is my all time favorite Thai Dish. To my surprise they had it! So I ordered their Ground Chicken Thai Chili Basil, Pineapple Chicken Dish and Basil fried rice. I am not a one to eat Pineapple in my meals unless it is a dessert or snack separately but the boyfriend likes incorporating it in his meals. And I got egg rolls. Anywho, the order came out fairly quick. I could not wait to dig in as the food smelled amazing. The Thai Chili Basil tasted delicious as expected and the Pineapple Chicken was not for me but tasted amazing according to the boyfriend. The Basil fried rice was a little greasy but flavorful. The egg rolls were delicious and crunchy. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and food. It is not the best quality of Thai Food I had but it does get the job done. Definitely, a must try if you in the area. I will be back if I am in the area and craving Thai Food.

    Papaya salad

Living in Clovis, there aren't a ton of places that sell papaya salad- especially if you want the option of Lao or Thai style. I just wanted to pick up some papaya salad to go with our dinner we were making at home. I was happy they offered Lao style. My order was ready pretty quickly but I was a bit surprised at the $11.95 price. I was also irritated at the $1 charge for using my debit card ($12.95 total). Then when I got home and opened the package I decided we wouldn't be going back again. I would say it was enough for 2 people to have a decent portion. The positives were the flavor was good and the heat was pretty accurate. I ordered medium and I'd say it was a true medium.

Food is good, staff is nice. A bit pricey, but it's walking distance away so it's hard to complain.

They have a large variety of noodles here, pho, thai boat noodles, khao soy, khao poon, and also tons of other thai /cambodian / lao choices. We got a thai boat noodle, khao soy, and pork belly to share. The thai boat noodle and khao soy are delicious. It was my first time ordering khao soy I thought khao soy was a curry based dish, but my noodles were a pork based broth, still yummy though! The pork belly here is huge and served hot and super crispy, miles better than any other pork belly I've tried. The thai tea had an off putting flavor, like they had made it with soy mik? instead of condensed evaporated milk? Total was $83 after tax and tip, this place is pretty hole in the wall but even hole in the wall places have to charge more now to keep up with inflation. Great fast service !

Khao soy. Soy happy.*…read more Why Khao Soy? Because Kh-ao piek and Kh-ao poon feel as standardized as ph-o, but Khao Soi seems to vary from shop to shop. Not just the spelling. Just my observation. And this was amongst the top 3 of the Khao Soys I've had. Lao Kao Soi anyway. The Th-ai version is a different dish to me. I came here Sunday evening. Things were slow. I told him the order just as he gave me the menu, and in exchange, he gave me a plate of bean sprouts and lime wedge instead. Haven't seen that for Kao Soy yet. Then came the utensils. And soon, the ginormous bowl, nay, tub, of KaSoy. The last time I saw a bowl this big in the Bay Area was decades ago in a pho house. They don't make extra larges like they used to in SF. I felt like Patrick, longing, staring with excitement and anticipation at SpongeBob's Pea-nut On-ion Sun-dae , trying to hold down the giggles and butterflies while my eyebrows are sparking. Except this Khao Soy actually SMELLS GOOD. And I still have my eyebrows. And I was not disappointed. The soup was HOTTT, with 3 Ts. The size of the bowl helped keep it that way. The surface of the lava lake was covered by the ground pork that defines Khao Soy. Completely. Just look at the picture. (I took a sip of the broth with the spoon before the picture) I promise you that I didn't go in with a camera in my hand, or point my phone as if I'm taking a video. Maybe it's the end of the day and they were feeling generous or just needed the ground pork gone. Well, I used my phone as a phone, and I didn't use the camera until this bowl came out. Just trust me. The broth was rich with notes of fermented bean paste and heavy notes of garlic, cut by the freshness of tomatoes. Heavy by the standards of a rice noodle soup. The lime helps. You might want to use an extra wedge too. Don't hold back though. There's a treasure hunt in progress. You see, within this bowl were a bunch of roast pork pieces. Quality roast pork pieces. The chicharron still very crispy when I got to each piece. (But that doesn't mean you should sin by letting the chicharron get soggy!) Seems like others have their roast pork left on top, but mine had sunk to the bottom when the Khao soy had landed. No big. This is like how won-ton noodle soups are served when you're Canto, the best stuff at the bottom. What impressed was that the roast pork was still crispy! The particular flat rice noodles used seems to be re-hydrated dried noodles. Normally a downgrade but in this case, a good move. Yes, fresh noodles carry the soup better, but in this boiling cauldron, the noodles used handled the heat much better and longer. After I had finished the noodles, the soup was still very hot, enough that I added the bean sprouts, which were still cooked to a point that they were absorbing the soup's flavor. I tried to finish the soup, but failed. Soooo close, but I have a drive to drive, and I don't want to have an accident on the way back. I don't know where the actual banos are in Los Banyos, and they're probably closed by the time I'm passing through. Now mind you, this is about as heavy as rice noodle soup will get. Take your time once you've found the chicharron. Share it if you can. Don't rush like me or you'll be burping garlic like I did rushing back to SF. If you are on a drive between SoCal and SF Bay or Sac, may I suggest taking the 99 instead of the 5? Instead of hours of just brown yellow and gas stations, you can stop at cities with proper markets. Instead of grab and go fast food or selling your kidney at Harris, why not enjoy some proper, affordable, sit-down chow in Fresno? Maybe this will open your eye to new foods as well! *(Yes. Yes. Terrible espanyol, if you can even call that Spanish, don't come at me with chanclas, pour favour!)

The location is right next to a gas station so little parking available. They have a food truck outside next to their dine-in inside. I like that they have a limited menu so that's was good. I will say this, I've never had Hmong food so I am not sure how it should taste. I order half dozen egg rolls and three spring rolls, and a large Nab Vam drink. The egg rolls were crispy, although the glass noodles inside caught me off guard. Actually, I didn't like them... I do like their sweet and spicy sauce though. The spring rolls were nice and thick, and I like that they add pork to theirs. Definitely filling. However, their peanut sauce is overwhelming spicy. It kinda masks the nutty flavor of the peanut butter. The drink was ok. I love how colorful it was. I listen to the guy and shake my drink well, but I didn't find it no where sweet. I think I had expectations that it would taste like a boba drink but yea it felt off for me. Other wise, it's ok. I ended up disagreeing with my friend on the eggrolls claim lol

But since we were dinning in I decided to try their Steak and Eggs with the bread. It was sooooooo good. The warm bread was crunchy on the outside and nice and soft in the inside. The eggs and meat came out on a sizzling try. There were two sunny side up eggs, thick cut of sweet/salty/tender marinated beef, small mushrooms, and pate on top. Paired with the bread this was a very comforting and delicious dish. The Nam Nuong rolls were good. Good portion of fillings and great crunchiness of the eggrolls wrappers and thick cut of the nam Nuong pork. I was only disappointed in the sauce. It was good but lacking depth of flavors. I think my expectation was it go be like the ones at Brodard's. And it wasn't. Located in the back corner, it can be a little hard to find parking if it gets busy but there is also the side parking lot. There was a wait list but we waited in line at the to go counter to ask to be seated. We were given our water and ordered. Once the food was dropped off we weren't checked up on again but this didn't bother us and you pay at the counter afterwards. The place had a lot of seatings with some seatings outside. There were tv playing Vietnamese food channels that was cool. I didn't get anything from their huge options of drinks and Che this time though. Looking forward to doing so next time. If you haven't tried this place, I would highly recommend their Vietnamese sandwiches with extra pate and butter.
