Our family enjoyed Kid's Chicken Kebab Plate, Halal Chicken Tenders, Fries, Cheese Borek, Grilled Mixed Vegetables, Tabouli, Baba Ganoush, Hummus, Labneh, Pita Bread, Pilaf, Garlic Sauce.... all fresh and delicious. This restaurant is spacious, the service is great, and the food was fabulous. We ordered a variety of proteins (chicken shawarma, lamb chops, and shrimp), and all hit the spot. The hummus, tzatziki, and garlic sauce boasted wonderful flavors, and the portion sizes were big enough to allow for leftovers, which were not forgotten the next day. Had some of their food at a party, and it was very good, so stopped by for lunch to try it in house. They have plates, bowls and sandwiches on their menu. We opted to get a plate which comes with either rice or fries and then a choice of 2 cold sides, such as hummus, fatoush salad, etc. I ordered falafel, and my friend ordered lamb kebabs. Her lamb was a little chewy but had excellent flavor. My falafel was ok. The fatoush salad was excellent with sumac in it. The garlic sauce was decent (not the best in town but good). My friend got the tabboulah as one of her sides, and it was decent. Service was friendly, and the restaurant was nicely decorated with tables or booth to choose from. I will definitely be back! I got food from this place for dinner today and was not impressed. I got a chicken plate and a beef kabob plate. The chicken was dried and old tasting. No flavor. The beef kabob was also very dry but interestingly, it was somewhat tender. However, the hummus was very good. Lebanese and Syrian Style on Mediterranean Cuisine is something new to me. The food is seasoned with lots of herbs and spices. The 3 plates that I had today was mainly seasoned with curry, cumin, tumeric, and star anise. The salt was perfectly seasoned and very light to enhance all of the flavors. CHICKEN KABAB PLATE (8ct) - Rice, Hummus, Fattoush Salad, Pitta Bread - $18.99 :: It's a bit sad the chicken is very dry. It seems to be oven roasted or something, due to the overly dry texture and the char on the outside. The juice were striped out of the chicken. I could be wrong but the chicken is way to dry. But, good news that it's perfectly seasoned. It's a bit of everything seasoned on this chicken, but very light. I can taste the strong cumin and curry seasoning. The salt was on point. (RATE : 2/5) This plate comes with your choice of rice, fries, or bulghur and 2 cold appetizers of your choice. I picked rice, hummus, and fattoush salad. The RICE is seasoned with light on curry. The cumin and star anise seems to be a bit over powering the curry on the rice. The rice was perfectly made. It was fluffly and soft. The rice taste like it was freshly made (RATE : 5/5). The HUMMUS wasn't what I was expecting. I can't taste the nuttyness on this dish. It doesn't have much seasoning or taste. It's a bit plain (RATE : 1/5). Lastly, the FATTOUSH SALAD. I was a bit dissapointed. The salad dressing doesn't have any flavor to it. All the vinegar drip down to the bottom and you cant taste it much. The dressing was very light here. I wish the salad could be a bit bigger to grab instead of shredded (RATE : 2/5). OVERALL on this plate I would give it a RATING of 2.5/5. I can see potential and it's not bad. SAJ - KAFTA - SANDWHICH COMBO - Fries, Labneh, Pickled Salad - $12 :: For the sandwhiches menu, they have an option for SAJ or PITA. I wanted to try the saj for today. The only difference is that the saj does not have yeast so it's flatter than the pita. It just depends on your choice if you want a breadier wrap or skinny wrap. They taste exactly the same. The KAFTA is a texture of patty. It was a mixure blend of a couple different meat like beef and lamb. The taste and texture just taste exactly like a juicy burger on the first bite. The gameyness from the lamb was very light and the labneh helps mellow it down a lot. All of the seasoning was on point (RATE : 5/5). The FRIES were on point. It was freshly out of the oil. Nicely salted and seasoned. (RATE : 5/5) The LABNEH was also awesome. It taste like a softer and lighter version of horseradish. I believe it was made out of yogurt. RATE: 3/5 AMBIANCE : It's a very fancy shop with nice decorations. I love the dark oak masculine and modern decorations and a touch of gold. They have a few of Turkish pictures and decorations around the building.There's lots of seatings and its very spacious. The tables are neat and clean. They have soft Syrian music on. There's not much guest there so it's very quiet. RATE : 5/5 SERVICE : Friendly and attentive service. I wasn't sure how to order and the young gentlemen helped my with my order. The wait was a good 15 minute long for 3 plate. They cook everything fresh and hot. RATE : 5/5 OVERALL : Great location for a little hangout or a date. The interrior is very romantic with those cute little Turkish lamp. I would totally recommend giving them a try. Maybe not the chicken kabab but something else. Their seasoning are on point. The seasoning is strong but it's not over powering. And again, this is Lebanese and Syrian style on Mediterranean Cuisine which includes lots of turmeric and curry taste. Went to the Willow location and loved the ambiance. It is beautifully decorated with calligraphy and lights. This place was recommended by my mom and her friends who only eat Halal meat and the food was AMAZING!! The lamb chops and kabob were soo juicy and tender. The fries even stayed a little crispy even after some time which I like very much. The garlic sauce is super good and perfect with the food and pita bread. Our mocktails were also delicious. This place was amazing! The service, food, and music was a wonderful experience. We walked to the counter thinking that we order first then find our seats. They actually offer table service. So when you come in, just pick a table and a server will come out and take your order for drinks and food. I did pick up the menu at the counter though just to get a head start. Staff were really nice but didn't come back to check on us until it was time for our check. Food did take bit longer than I expected, especially since there were only two other tables with customers. The presentation was beautiful and flavor was wonderfully seasoned. Everything was delicious. However, I did not care for the rice. It has cinnamon in it. Never had it like that before and I wouldn't order that again. My husband thought the rice was interesting and he end up liking it. The beef I had was a little tough but still flavorful. This is a beautiful restaurant. Golden Grill serve mediterranean, Syrian, and Lebanese food. My family were greeted upon entry and was told we can sit anywhere. Definitely hungry so we ordered the Mix Plate that comes with 3 different protein, lamb, beef, and chicken on skewers. All Smokey char flavor. Loved how juicy the chicken was. It was cooked perfectly. You can have fries or rice but I did half and half. This plate comes with two cold sides, so I got the tabbouleh that had good acidity to it and also a tzatziki. My husband and I were able to share this large portion dish. We also got the beef shawarma sandwich that my husband loved. Both came with this garlic house sauce that is soooo good! You can dip anything with it. The kids got the chicken kids menu plate. Came with chicken skewers, fries, and one cold side the hummus. My kids love hummus so it was the perfect choice. Nicely seasoned and not too salty. We were satisfied with our meal. Our server did forget to bring us utensils when our food arrived so I had to go up and ask for some. I think to eliminate that issue is to bring water out and also give utensils at the same time. There are clean multiple stall restrooms for customers. My family and I finally decided we had put off trying this place for too long, and we're so glad we went! The food was incredible! From the rice being full of flavor to the garlic sauce being the perfect balance. Decor is beautiful and plenty of seating for large groups. There's even an outdoor seating in the back! I walked into Golden Grill with high expectations. The reviews had me excited, thinking I was about to experience something truly special, just like so many others who raved about this place. Let me start with what they got right. The ambience is warm and traditional, the kind of setting that clearly reflects pride and heritage. It feels welcoming the moment you walk in. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive, always smiling, and she took the time to explain everything with care, which really stood out and made the experience feel personal. Now for the food. We ordered what many diners before us recommended: pita, hummus, roast chicken, and a few appetizers. There was no shortage of food, but the quality didn't live up to the hype. The roast chicken arrived hot, but it was dry and tasted like it had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. The hummus had an odd texture--too runny and over-blended, losing that rich, creamy balance I was hoping for. And the pita bread came out in plastic sandwich bags, which caught me completely off guard. It didn't fit the experience I was expecting. To be fair, we showed up around 2 PM, which might not have been the best timing. Maybe the kitchen wasn't at its peak. I'm willing to give Golden Grill another try, perhaps during the lunch rush or at dinner, to see if the food matches the heart and pride this place clearly has. We really liked this place! The food was tasty and had great spices that you don't get everywhere. We had the beef kebab, the shish kebab, and the Kafta kebab and they were all quite delicious. My wife even ordered the shish kebab rare and that is exactly how it came. They have bulgar as an option, which is great, but you could also get rice or fries with the meals. The prices are very reasonable and the sides you get with the specialty items are quite large. There's also a great assortment of cold and hot appetizers on the menu. I'm Lebanese who had a mother who was a great cook. I know what I'm talking about . The menu has several dishes that are real home cooking. I had several appetizers, which is the way to do it. Hummus, teboule, grape leaves, falafel, all good. I thought the kibbie was too much bulgur on the outside shell. My mother made them meatier. The ones here had a crunch. Too much burger. Service was very nice. They were a little short staffed at lunch, but that was ok. This is not your usual Lebanese place. The menu has depth. I'm from out of town, but Golden Grill is the real deal. Once seated, the servers were attentive and friendly. We're not familiar with Syrian or Lebanese cuisine, but the menu was very easy to read and included very clear and straightforward descriptions of what each dish was, so the menu was simple to navigate and we knew exactly what we were ordering. My husband had the shawarma chicken plate with a rice/bulgar mix and I had the beef shawarma plate with fries. Each plate comes with a choice of two cold appetizers, so we ordered different things to try them all - the fattoush salad, muhammara, hummus and tzatziki. The chicken was phenomenal! It was so tender and flavorful. The fries were also fantastic. And we loved the dips! It was the first time I've had muhammara - what a treat! The beef shawarma was a tad disappointing, it was a touch dry and seasonless, especially when compared to the super tender, super tasty chicken. Luckily, the servings are so large, we had more than enough chicken to share, and we took the beef home and I used it in a salad the next day. I didn't ask if it's an option, but I would've loved to eat all those dips with fresh veggies instead of all the carbs. We will return to dine-in to try the kebabs. I paid for it it and she acted like she wasn't sure what she's was giving me back. I checked the receipt and started counting and realized I was missing some and she tells me once she noticed me figuring it up, Oh, I forgot the extra $5!" and handed it to me. Just be aware! Order was handed over shortly after that with a thank you! Lunchtime! Chicken Shawarma sandwich 1/2 was good! Tasty! Chicken Fattoush salad has very little chicken. 2-3 little pieces each. Salad was saturated in dressing. It had good flavor, but definitely too much....for me anyways. Falafels were Really good. Especially with the sauce included. Mother said she liked the chicken shawarma too. She said she likes the Fattoush salad, but agreed with how little chicken was in it. Same with the falafel. She brought up that only receiving one garlic sauce when two was ordered was no good. She wanted her own. Even though I had no problem giving her mine. Good service taking order and thanking after receiving order. Lunch was okay. Definitely had higher hopes it was going to be better than it was. Back to update after the first review, and now owners bs response. The new clovis location had hummus and beef Sharma listed at 12 dollars. They refused to honor that price listed on their website, their menus and even on grubhub. You could place the order for 12 and they denied it. They tried to charge 16 dollars. A 4 dollar increase. Again clovis location. But if you go to their cedar location. There is the exact price for the same item and they honored it. So this owner of this location is price gouging you. Again, avoid this place as they are lacking credibility of ownership. Go to the cedar location but avoid the clovis. Horrible. I went here once, and I decided to come back again. However, the second time I tried to eat here, they refused to honor the prices they had listed. They said they had just changed them, but there was nothing reflecting the change except on their side. I even placed an order on the internet, and they canceled it because that's where I found the original price, not their new, updated price. False advertising on their side. That's illegal. Absolutely horrible. This place wants to charge you 10 dollars for a cup of hummus. This is not good service, and the prices are getting out of control for just okay food. First time here. My Mom wasn't too keen on Mediterranean food. Smelled good as we entered the door. The smell of meats cooking on the grill was quite pleasant. There are pictures of most of the plates hung up for reference. I ordered the lamb shish kebab and Mom wanted the beef shawarma kids meal. You get to choose your cold sides. Mom had the hummus, I ordered tzatziki and muhammara, he said it was spicy. Food came out and was exceptional. Mom and I loved everything as we shared. We ordered several appetizers and our main meals featuring beef, chicken, and Kafta (seasoned ground beef and lamb ground). So when I heard they opened a second location, I was excited to try it. The good news? The food is still amazing. No problems there. But the service wasn't the same. Our server didn't make eye contact when taking our order and seemed frustrated when my partner changed her mind about a side dish. He looked like he didn't really want to be there, almost like he was thinking about something else the whole time. I understand that not everyone is used to American-style service, but even a small smile or friendly attitude can really help. The service wasn't terrible, just distant. And because the original location has such friendly staff, the difference stood out even more. That's why it isn't a 5 stars for me. Still, the food is so good that I would go again.
