Lamb Chops

Ark Mediterranean Grill has plates, wraps and salads. Good quick service and plenty of parking. For the food: The lamb chops were tender and delicious. I was able to swap the house salad to tabouleh. There may have been a small charge for this. It's a good spot for healthy and tasty Mediterranean food in the area.

Chicken kabob plate

Stopped by for dinner on a Sunday and they were busy. We took that as a good sign and had this place for dinner and went with the Chicken Kabob Plate. After placing our order, the food was out in about 15-20 minutes. Portions of the meal were decent considering the price. My one comments about the food is the size of the chicken chunks and the chunky salad. These pieces were too large for my enjoyment. A couple of the pieces of chicken were not cooked all the way through because of the size. The smaller poecea of chicken were cooked all the way through and had great flavor. We ate about half of the meal and then we weren't feelin the rest so we left it behind. Overall, probably won't be back due to my preferences however if your in the area and craving Mediterranean food, keep this place in mind.

Overcooked dry burnt chicken in my small salad
Joose3313 ..

Decided to give this place another chance. Ordered the large (it's not large) Greek salad for $12.99 and if you want overcooked, dry, burnt chicken added to it, that will be another $5.50 so a total of $18.49 for a small dry burnt chicken salad. To make matters worse the little girl at the order counter had an attitude and wanted to argue about whether the chicken was called "protein" or "chicken". I told her if I wanted protein I'd drink a protein drink and I'm pretty sure I've been calling chicken "chicken" my entire life . Yea there are way too many middle eastern places to keep punishing myself coming here.

THE. LAMB. CHOPS. Interior is clean, service is fairly quick. The food? Great. Got the lamb chop plate with rice pilaf.... the lamb was so incredibly tender and flavorful. Would 100% come here and get it again!

Ark is the best Mediterranean establishment in Fresno. The food is delicious and I enjoy the seasoning used to season the meat. The service is quick, usually takes 10 minutes for them to get it out. Freshly made too! The restaurant has a few TVs in there and it's got solid vibes. I lived in SF for a few months and no Mediterranean place compared to Ark. We've got a good one here folks.

Super nice staff; helped my group take pictures and was very patient with me when I was ordering. Just wish I remember the young lady that helped me. Food was tasty and fresh. Price is reasonable. Plenty of parking spaces. Northeast corner of Champlin/Shepherd.

#10 lamb Luleh plate

The food here is absolutely amazing! Everything is fresh, and the meat is perfectly seasoned. I had the #8, and my husband had the #10--both were fantastic. The restaurant is super clean, with neatly wiped tables, and after ordering, you can sit wherever you like while they bring the food to your table. My husband follows a gluten-free diet, so finding a place with delicious food, minimal gluten, and a large menu is a huge plus! We also ordered fries on the side, and they brought over a generous portion in a big red basket, perfectly seasoned. We will definitely be coming back for more lunches and dinners. Plus, with family frequently visiting us, this will be our go-to spot to bring them!

Chicken and Falafel plate. Tasted like coal.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is always friendly, and I'm greeted and seated quickly every time I visit. The food comes out fresh, hot, and consistently delicious. One of the things I love most is how generous the portions are. The plates are so big that my boyfriend and I will sometimes share a meal, and we still leave satisfied. My go-to order is the chicken shawarma plate with Fattoush salad, hummus, and warm pita bread--it's absolutely incredible every single time. If you're looking for authentic Mediterranean food with excellent service, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to go. It's one of my favorite lunch spots, and I'll definitely keep coming back!

This original location remains my recommended spot for Mediterranean food. Many Mediterranean…read morerestaurants in Fresno County are Armenian-owned, while only a small handful--like this family-run restaurant--specialize in Lebanese cuisine. Lebanese food is widely considered among the best expressions of Mediterranean cooking due to its vibrant use of fresh ingredients, particularly herbs, lemon, garlic, and olive oil, along with a strong emphasis on healthy, plant-based, and grilled dishes. It offers diverse, shareable, and nutrient-dense options such as tabbouleh, hummus, and falafel, making it both flavorful and nutritious. I always enjoy dining at Golden Grill because they exemplify Lebanese cuisine so well. Their dishes highlight fresh herbs like mint and parsley, along with garlic and lemon juice, rather than relying heavily on spices. The result is a light, refreshing, and aromatic flavor profile that feels both vibrant and balanced. The kebabs are excellent. The grilled cubes of beef, chicken, and kafta (ground beef and lamb) skewers are flavorful, tender, and juicy, topped with herbs and grilled to perfection. They carry a subtle smokiness and savory aroma, and the meats are beautifully charred with vibrant color. Their pita and saj sandwiches are also very well done. Each sandwich is warm and carefully assembled, forming a sturdy pocket filled with high-quality ingredients. They combine savory meats (or falafel and vegetables), creamy sauces, and crunchy pickles and onions into a balanced bite. The bread holds generous fillings without collapsing while still being tender enough to bite through easily. The pocket opens cleanly, creating the perfect pouch for the ingredients. For a small restaurant with limited seating that appears to receive many to-go orders, the presentation for dine-in guests is especially thoughtful. The dishes are served on clean white ceramic plates and trays, with the food carefully arranged and portions balanced. It is simple yet elegant and visually appealing. Golden Grill also captures the Lebanese mezze-style dining experience. As someone of Korean heritage, I appreciate this approach, since it is similar to how Korean meals are served with many shared dishes that provide variety in every meal. Some of the shared plates include Lebanese staples like hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, and fresh flatbread. Everything here tastes fresh and well-prepared, with distinct textures and aromatic flavors. The signature entrées come with two cold appetizers. The hummus is silky smooth, a velvety blend of garbanzo beans and tahini that almost melts in your mouth. The baba ghanouj is creamy, garlicky, and finished with olive oil. The tabbouleh is bright and balanced with lemon juice, garlic, and a generous drizzle of olive oil that ties together the citrusy and earthy flavors. The restaurant itself is clean, with tables and chairs wiped down quickly after guests leave. Service is friendly, welcoming, and helpful when placing orders. Prices are also reasonable, especially considering many competing Mediterranean restaurants do not place the same emphasis on presentation or on creating a mezze-style dining experience at no additional cost. While some may prefer other Mediterranean cuisines, I personally enjoy the fresh, light, and diverse flavors that Lebanese food offers. Golden Grill's citrus-forward dishes and extensive mezze options make it one of my favorite Mediterranean spots.

In Fresno, where the Armenian community reaches back almost to the city's beginnings, food like this carries a particular weight. Restaurants are places to eat, but they also keep a connection to kitchens and people you miss. The pleasant dining room and generous patio make a good first impression. So do prices that suggest you might come back on an ordinary Tuesday. The lulu kebab was good. The pilaf and bulgur alongside it were more puzzling: properly cooked, but almost entirely without flavor. The vermicelli in the pilaf hadn't been browned, missing the toasted quality that makes it worth adding in the first place. Whatever chicken stock might have been involved was keeping a low profile. Salt seemed to have missed dinner altogether. Perhaps remembering my grandmother's cooking set the bar a little high, but wanting another forkful of rice does not seem an unreasonable expectation. The staff were friendly when they appeared, although appearances were infrequent enough that a simple dinner stretched to two hours. A large patio is a lovely thing; ample time to contemplate its dimensions is less essential. There is plenty to like here, particularly a menu I was happy to see and a bill that comes in below many comparable places. But the rice needs the same attention as the kebab, and the tables could use a little more of it, too.
