I always build my own bowl and got brown saffron rice with quinoa and tri-tip. The tri-tip is flavorful and pairs really well with all the toppings. The almond tempura cauliflower is a must, I just recently started adding this on and it is perfectly crispy with great texture and flavor. For toppings, I like adding the red pepper hummus, avocado hummus, and tzatziki, along with sweet potatoes and chickpeas. Everything tastes fresh and well-prepared, and the combination of flavors and textures is perfect for me. I consistently get 2-3 servings out of one bowl, which makes it an even better value!

Been wanting to try this spot for awhile after hearing it was basically A better Cava. Overall it did live up to my expectations. They have so much variety from veggie options, sauces, and crunch and different meat options you usually wouldn't see in a fast food type of spot. Sad that they limit you to a certain amount but I feel like trade off is the quality. I feel like it's more affordable than cava too.

Man i don't even know where to start in my opinion best Mediterranean food in town but everyone tells me to try the one downtown so we'll see but until then I could eat this everyday with any protein either chicken shrimp or tri tip Everything is always fresh and the fastest service def a great place if you're looking for something delicious! The ambiance is always nice I always love to try the new fresh juices they have too!

My friend told me this was the way better equivalent of Cava so I had to check it out! I got the Garlic Parm Fries and the Triple M. Personally, the Garlic Parm Fries were a 7/10. I thought it could genuinely use more garlic but the fries were crispy for a to go order. The Triple M was pretty tasty and it might have just converted me to loving sweet onions even more! It's a pretty big bowl and honestly I'd say it's good for 2 servings. Items are well priced and I would definitely come back again!

Tasty, filling, flavorful. A build-your-own bowl has plenty of options you don't see in most fast casual places. The Mayd Mix (kale, radicchio, romaine) holds up better than the arugula which wilts in this hefty bowl. Loved the lentils, hummus, tzatziki, and smoked harissa spread. Roasted veggies as a protein option was a mix of red peppers and perhaps parsnips and onions- not sure but it was tasty. Avocado is worth the upchage. Sumac radishes, pickled onions, crumbled feta are all good toppings. Garlic sauce and lemon tahini sauces were both fine but mild flavors, but I'd add something spicy next time. The only thing I wouldn't order again are the fried falafel croutons- they did add nice crispy texture, but not my style. I'd pick a different option for crunch next time. Bowl size is generous and plenty for a filling meal. Lentil soup is thick and topped with feta and harissa which kick it up a notch. Naakos (naan + taco) are a fun idea but the ingredients I chose maybe weren't the best. I barely noticed any smokiness in the baba. Between the roasted market veggies, white bean salad, and greek vinaigrette, the whole thing was just a bit wet and messy to eat. But maybe with a different combination of ingredients. Unless you are sharing, you don't need this on top of a bowl.

This restaurant is similar to Chipotle in that you load up your bowl with ingredients you want to eat. The number of ingredients to choose from can be overwhelming. I ended up going with whatever the server recommended, which meant I loaded up my bowl with a lot of different ingredients. Every ingredient individually was tasty, which is why I'm rating it so high. However, I think by loading up the bowl with so many ingredients and it mixes together (unintentionally because everything is layered or placed next to other ingredients), the result didn't taste great. I think if I were to come back, I'd probably order just a few ingredients that complement each other rather than load the bowl up. I can't fault the restaurant because I agreed to load it up.

Food was fresh and delicious. We got a custom bowl and easy street bowl. Both were great. Portions are huge we were definitely full. Service was great super helpful and informational. Cute place, very clean and bathrooms are clean. I will definitely be back!

Love this place! Prices are good and love the flavors in the food! Staff was very nice and place was clean inside. My favorite bowl is the easy street. The hummus and rice are so good, highly recommend this place for a quick bite!

Favorite spot for Mediterranean in the area! They have many options to choose from for the build your own bowls or salads. They have plenty of seating inside or outside with a couple tables. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable, especially for first timers who have never had Mediterranean food. Their frozen Greek yogurt baklava is so good. You can never go wrong with this place for lunch as their food is filling and healthy. Definitely recommend even if you've never had Mediterranean food!

I absolutely love Mayd! It's one of those hidden gems that I can't believe isn't all over the nation. Every time I come here, the bowls are consistently fresh, flavorful, and delicious. They've never disappointed me. The quality of their ingredients really stands out. Their greens and grains bowls are a perfect balance, with flavorful basmati rice, vibrant greens (I love the arugula and their house "Mayd mix"), and numerous variety of toppings to mix and match. The lemon chicken is my usual go-to but the red meat options are absolutely worth the upgrade. The lamb meatballs and tri-tip are both incredible! I also appreciate how efficient and friendly the staff are. Even if they run out of a protein, they get a fresh batch ready quickly and keep you moving by letting you build your bowl in the meantime. Service is usually fast, and I rarely have to wait long whether I dine in or order to-go. Inside, the space is clean, modern, and inviting. It feels more like a polished chain restaurant in the best way, not at all like a one-off spot. Between the atmosphere, the service, and the food quality, Mayd feels like it should be everywhere by now. If you're looking for a healthy meal that doesn't compromise on flavor, this is hands down one of the best Mediterranean spots around!

I've never had Mediterranean food before (I think) so this was something new for me! I don't have anything to compare it to, but what I had tasted great. I made my own bowl and even though I didn't know what to choose, I ended up loving my bowl. There are a lot of options and you get to choose a decent amount of things! Everything tasted yummy and the proportions felt balanced. The price for a bowl is $13.50-15.50 depending on what you choose, it's pretty filling. I did an online order since I get anxiety ordering inside when ordering is an assembly line style. They have a pick up window outside that is left to the door! Really nice and I would come back

Mayd remains one of our favorite lunch spots! Ingredients are consistently fresh and magically go well together, regardless of the random combination you choose! I do wish they had more plant based protein options and grateful that quinoa is remains an option. Service is always friendly and efficient, with plenty of indoor seating available.

Green bug and a blonde hair

Ordered 2 bowls to go when eating at home found a bug in the bowl along with hair.... Would guess they don't wash their greens and the hair I don't know they don't wear hair nets.....

"Animal-style" Sweet Potato Waffle Fries w/pickled turnips, tzatziki, feta, red onions, chilis, & included garlic ranch. Yum!

My wife and I 's go to is the number 3 combo - which is a chicken and beef kabob plate. The meat is so tender, juicy and flavorful- you don't even need a knife to cut through it. This meal is perfection and I wouldn't change a thing. My only recommendation is to add the hot sauce to it to dip your steak and chicken in it. Trust me, the extra 75 cents is worth it. The meal comes standard with rice, humus, cucumber/ tomato salad and pita bread. My wife and I always opt for the bulgur rice pilaf which has a chewier texture than the standard rice pilaf. To me , this is the best Mediterranean food that I have ever had - anywhere! This is the restaurant that I compare all other places to . Go now - you won't be disappointed!

To make matters worse the little girl at the order counter had an attitude and wanted to argue about whether the chicken was called "protein" or "chicken". I told her if I wanted protein I'd drink a protein drink and I'm pretty sure I've been calling chicken "chicken" my entire life . Yea there are way too many middle eastern places to keep punishing myself coming here.

My husband and I actually started coming here because we received a gift certificate on our wedding day, so every visit has always been meaningful to us. Unfortunately, our most recent visit completely changed how I feel about this restaurant. Our waitress was Brenda (a middle-aged Caucasian woman with glasses). I want to be clear about who served us because my receipt also listed the name Brenda, and I would hate for another employee to receive this review by mistake. We were seated fairly quickly even though it was a very busy night and the restaurant was full. I want to say upfront that I completely respect how hard servers work, and I understand busy nights happen. However, after sitting for quite a while without anyone taking our order, I politely told Brenda that we were ready. I am diabetic and was not feeling well, so the wait was starting to affect me. Her response was, "Sorry, we're really busy tonight and there are only three of us waitressing." I understood that they might be short staffed, but at the very least she could have taken our drink order. Instead, she continued cleaning tables and serving other customers. I watched four different tables get seated after us and receive drinks, salads, and appetizers before we even placed our order. As someone who has been coming here for years, I have never felt so uncomfortable or overlooked in this restaurant. In 2026, no customer should feel that way anywhere. When our food finally came, everything arrived at once -- our hummus, salad, and entrée -- which made the experience feel rushed and poorly handled. When I asked Brenda for more napkins, she never returned to our table. We eventually had to go to the register ourselves to pay because she never brought our check. Before leaving, I explained to her how the situation made me feel. She responded with several explanations about being busy and short staffed, but that was never the real issue. The issue was the way we were treated. She forgot who we were all night but when it came to pay my tab, she definitely knew what table we were sitting at because her response was. I'll get your tab for table 3.. The food was amazing as it has always been, but sadly the service we received completely ruined the experience. After nearly nine years of coming here, this will unfortunately be my last visit.

This original location remains my recommended spot for Mediterranean food. Many Mediterranean…read morerestaurants in Fresno County are Armenian-owned, while only a small handful--like this family-run restaurant--specialize in Lebanese cuisine. Lebanese food is widely considered among the best expressions of Mediterranean cooking due to its vibrant use of fresh ingredients, particularly herbs, lemon, garlic, and olive oil, along with a strong emphasis on healthy, plant-based, and grilled dishes. It offers diverse, shareable, and nutrient-dense options such as tabbouleh, hummus, and falafel, making it both flavorful and nutritious. I always enjoy dining at Golden Grill because they exemplify Lebanese cuisine so well. Their dishes highlight fresh herbs like mint and parsley, along with garlic and lemon juice, rather than relying heavily on spices. The result is a light, refreshing, and aromatic flavor profile that feels both vibrant and balanced. The kebabs are excellent. The grilled cubes of beef, chicken, and kafta (ground beef and lamb) skewers are flavorful, tender, and juicy, topped with herbs and grilled to perfection. They carry a subtle smokiness and savory aroma, and the meats are beautifully charred with vibrant color. Their pita and saj sandwiches are also very well done. Each sandwich is warm and carefully assembled, forming a sturdy pocket filled with high-quality ingredients. They combine savory meats (or falafel and vegetables), creamy sauces, and crunchy pickles and onions into a balanced bite. The bread holds generous fillings without collapsing while still being tender enough to bite through easily. The pocket opens cleanly, creating the perfect pouch for the ingredients. For a small restaurant with limited seating that appears to receive many to-go orders, the presentation for dine-in guests is especially thoughtful. The dishes are served on clean white ceramic plates and trays, with the food carefully arranged and portions balanced. It is simple yet elegant and visually appealing. Golden Grill also captures the Lebanese mezze-style dining experience. As someone of Korean heritage, I appreciate this approach, since it is similar to how Korean meals are served with many shared dishes that provide variety in every meal. Some of the shared plates include Lebanese staples like hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, and fresh flatbread. Everything here tastes fresh and well-prepared, with distinct textures and aromatic flavors. The signature entrées come with two cold appetizers. The hummus is silky smooth, a velvety blend of garbanzo beans and tahini that almost melts in your mouth. The baba ghanouj is creamy, garlicky, and finished with olive oil. The tabbouleh is bright and balanced with lemon juice, garlic, and a generous drizzle of olive oil that ties together the citrusy and earthy flavors. The restaurant itself is clean, with tables and chairs wiped down quickly after guests leave. Service is friendly, welcoming, and helpful when placing orders. Prices are also reasonable, especially considering many competing Mediterranean restaurants do not place the same emphasis on presentation or on creating a mezze-style dining experience at no additional cost. While some may prefer other Mediterranean cuisines, I personally enjoy the fresh, light, and diverse flavors that Lebanese food offers. Golden Grill's citrus-forward dishes and extensive mezze options make it one of my favorite Mediterranean spots.
