    Chicken Kebob
    Ray L.

Growing up, I went to my local mall a lot! As a teenager, there was not much else to do at that time. I have fond memories of visiting the food court, and considering all of my options before spending the little money I had as a kid. Fast forward to today , and I still like eating at the mall food court. So many options to choose from , and sometimes you can score some free samples. I like to put my shopping bags down , and take my time eating a nice leisurely lunch. I strolled into the food court and saw the usual suspects: Hot dog on a stick? Nah- I hate hot dogs , but the lemonade is good! Panda Express? Too basic! The choice became obvious - Mediterranean food at T.-O.A. . Tucked in the corner, I strolled up to look at the extensive menu, and decided to give it a chance. For lunch, this place is pricy! I spent about 24.00 for a chicken kebob with saffron rice. Was it good? Yes, it really was. This chicken was seasoned heavily with spices, and I wasn't complaining. The pita bread was flat and not good , but I didn't let that stop me from eating my entire plate. If I had to choose, Ark Mediterranean Grill is better , but this place serves a purpose . This is a unique high quality option in a food court that otherwise serves food that is all too common. Take a chance , and order something off the TOA menu. You won't be disappointed, and you can take a break from spending all your money at Foot Locker. Oh wait , that is where I spent all my money back in the day. 4 stars for now, and I am looking forward to trying more menu items.

    Falafel Wrap
    Molly L.

We came here on a weekday evening and ordered a falafel wrap. The food took about 10-15 minutes to make. The wrap was very long and there were chopped up pieces of falafel in the wrap instead of the normal falafel balls. The wrap was fine, but could have used some more sauce. It was salty though. The lettuce in there was a little bit wilted. Although I asked for onions in the wrap, I could not really taste the onions. Overall, the wrap was good but I would probably order something else the next time I visit.

    Arrived!

4/5/25 Getting breakfast for tomorrow and lunch for today to split. Ordered conveniently on the Yelp app., Napoleon, Fattoush Salad, Chicken Shawarma Wrap, Hummus and Falafel. Arrived to pick up. It's in the Fashion Fair Mall food court. Greeted, told worker and received. Saw a dessert case with Baklava and added it to order. Dinner too! Bought that and worker bagged it for me. Lunchtime! Order split. Fattoush salad was Fresh & tasty! Pita chips in it too! DELICIOUS! Chicken Shawarma Wrap was Great! There's a lot too! Only had 1/4! Falafel were GREAT. Sauce included making it even better! Hummus was Fantastic! Came with fresh, Great pita bread too! DELICIOUS lunch with lots of leftovers. Mother felt the same! Baklava for dinner & Napoleon for breakfast tomorrow! I'll add it later!! Good service & GREAT lunch! Highly recommended!!

Taste Of Aleppo is an excellent place to eat!

Having NEVER eaten lamb in my 61-years, I was mesmerized immediately by the appearance of the cuisine displayed in the most surprising of locations... the Food Court in Fashion Fair Mall. Owned by a Persian family, the Iranian Mother and Daughter could not have been more gracious and patient describing the cultural nuances to my inexperienced inquiries. I gladly tried the Lamb Shishkebab on a bed of rice pilaf and another rice option first. So outstandingly delicious was this dish, I promised to return for the Lamb Shank when I wore something without long sleeves... today was that day! Though Taste Of Aleppo's Armenian Chef humbly described herself as "a Cook", rather than a Chef, the quality of her dishes is do spectacular, she must, indeed, be a Chef! Ambiance is not what one thinks of finding in a Food Court, but the incredible meals made this a moot point. The prices were absolutely fair and well worth every cent. T.O.A. is a place I will gladly recommend to my friends and family, as I will certainly return soon!

    Chicken Shawarma Plate

Tried this spot for the first time and the chicken shawarma was SO good! Also it was halal! Super flavorful and the portion was huge. I was honestly surprised how much food I got. This place was super clean and the lady up front who helped me out was so nice! Definitely will be coming back here often.

    Falafel wrap ($12) so flavorful
    Jaz L.

I ordered the falafel wrap for $12+tip and the cashier gave me a little buzzer to let me know when the food was ready. The cashier was very nice and she seemed very friendly. I waited patiently for more than 10 minutes and went up to ask about my order. The lady said they were grilling my wrap and it would take 5 mins. I waited about 10 more minutes until my food was ready. I understand they have other orders but I guess I was expecting it to be a bit faster. Anyways when my falafel wrap was ready it was MASSIVE and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised and very hungry at this point. They gave me some utensils and I cut the wrap in half. It was a very good portion size for the price ($12) and I had leftovers. The falafel wrap was packed with flavor and I absolutely loved it! There was a lot of filling and sauce which I loved and the pickled radish added such a nice crunch. It was very delicious and to me worth the wait. I appreciate that they had several options (for vegans, vegetarians, and others) and I definitely recommend trying this place to support a small business. I will come again!

And so, the rice was so delicious, lamb so succulent that it almost melted in my mouth. The server was so kind and sweet, even with a jam packed midday lunch crowd. Everyone there seemed like they were being treated like family and like they eat there all the time. Aside from the above, which would easily be enough for a positive review here, there's even more. As I rushed out of the restaurant, I left my credit card. In my haste to be the 3-hour traffic back up to the Bay Area, I completely forgot until I got halfway back home, stopped for gas, and realized I couldn't pay for my gas with my card. I called them and luckily the same gal who was my server picked up and remembered me, confirmed she had my CC and told me to come back and get it. I told her I was back up in Oakland and asked a HUUUUUUGE Favor of them, to mail my CC back to me to save me the 6 hour round trip drive and ALL the headache I'd incur of getting a new card and having to redo all of the auto-pay set for countless bills with a new card number. Guess what? They did it! They took time from their busy lives, put a customer's needs first and saw past my human error and so generously sent my card to my home. Places like this family owned, down home place restore my faith in humanity and make me wish more places like this existed all over. "Thank you" doesn't even do justice for my gratitude to these folks. Can't wait to sit and dine with you all again. Huge thanks Phoenician Garden Folks

This original location remains my recommended spot for Mediterranean food. Many Mediterranean…read morerestaurants in Fresno County are Armenian-owned, while only a small handful--like this family-run restaurant--specialize in Lebanese cuisine. Lebanese food is widely considered among the best expressions of Mediterranean cooking due to its vibrant use of fresh ingredients, particularly herbs, lemon, garlic, and olive oil, along with a strong emphasis on healthy, plant-based, and grilled dishes. It offers diverse, shareable, and nutrient-dense options such as tabbouleh, hummus, and falafel, making it both flavorful and nutritious. I always enjoy dining at Golden Grill because they exemplify Lebanese cuisine so well. Their dishes highlight fresh herbs like mint and parsley, along with garlic and lemon juice, rather than relying heavily on spices. The result is a light, refreshing, and aromatic flavor profile that feels both vibrant and balanced. The kebabs are excellent. The grilled cubes of beef, chicken, and kafta (ground beef and lamb) skewers are flavorful, tender, and juicy, topped with herbs and grilled to perfection. They carry a subtle smokiness and savory aroma, and the meats are beautifully charred with vibrant color. Their pita and saj sandwiches are also very well done. Each sandwich is warm and carefully assembled, forming a sturdy pocket filled with high-quality ingredients. They combine savory meats (or falafel and vegetables), creamy sauces, and crunchy pickles and onions into a balanced bite. The bread holds generous fillings without collapsing while still being tender enough to bite through easily. The pocket opens cleanly, creating the perfect pouch for the ingredients. For a small restaurant with limited seating that appears to receive many to-go orders, the presentation for dine-in guests is especially thoughtful. The dishes are served on clean white ceramic plates and trays, with the food carefully arranged and portions balanced. It is simple yet elegant and visually appealing. Golden Grill also captures the Lebanese mezze-style dining experience. As someone of Korean heritage, I appreciate this approach, since it is similar to how Korean meals are served with many shared dishes that provide variety in every meal. Some of the shared plates include Lebanese staples like hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, and fresh flatbread. Everything here tastes fresh and well-prepared, with distinct textures and aromatic flavors. The signature entrées come with two cold appetizers. The hummus is silky smooth, a velvety blend of garbanzo beans and tahini that almost melts in your mouth. The baba ghanouj is creamy, garlicky, and finished with olive oil. The tabbouleh is bright and balanced with lemon juice, garlic, and a generous drizzle of olive oil that ties together the citrusy and earthy flavors. The restaurant itself is clean, with tables and chairs wiped down quickly after guests leave. Service is friendly, welcoming, and helpful when placing orders. Prices are also reasonable, especially considering many competing Mediterranean restaurants do not place the same emphasis on presentation or on creating a mezze-style dining experience at no additional cost. While some may prefer other Mediterranean cuisines, I personally enjoy the fresh, light, and diverse flavors that Lebanese food offers. Golden Grill's citrus-forward dishes and extensive mezze options make it one of my favorite Mediterranean spots.
