#6 LOADED FRIES, #7 LAMB GYRO STRAWBERRY MANGO LEMONADE

Beautiful amazing resturant, both food wise and design wise. i got the loaded fries with mango lemonade and that was SO FIRE. spicier than you think but i love it. And the guy who cooked our food was super polite and was very grateful!

Growing up in the Bay Area I was exposed to this kind of food via Halal Guys. After moving here I used to drive by this place every time I went to my fav Asian grocery store. Today I decided I was going to give it a try. I ordered the chicken and lamb rice plate and a chicken shawarma. Please keep in mind I have extreme bias from all the Halal Guys I've eaten in my life. I made an online order through Yelp and it took me about 9 min to get there and my food was sitting on the counter. There were two employees in the back prepping other orders and there was no one at the register. They didn't really acknowledge me for a min or two but they looked really busy. I saw my name on the food tag. So I picked it up and yelled "Hey is it cool if I just get my food" and one dude just looked at me and nodded. So I left. No biggie. Came to Halal Bros chasing the dream of Halal Guys... ended up with a very polite handshake instead of a warm hug. The chicken and lamb over rice? Solid "C+ student" energy. The rice was kind of there for moral support, and the white sauce tried its best, like a dad dancing at a wedding. The hot sauce was less "hot" and felt a bit sour. Now, the shawarma? Low-key the plot twist I didn't expect. Juicy, flavorful, actually made me pause mid-bite like, "Okay Halal Bros, I see you." All in all, it's a decent spot if you're nearby and hungry.

    Chicken shawarma wrap with fries

Halal Bros has become a regular spot for me and one of my best friends due to its real bang-for-your-buck quality. I love getting their chicken shawarma wrap - the chicken is flavorful and juicy, and they make sure to add sauce to make sure the wrap is packed with more flavor and is not dry. Not to mention, the wrap itself is incredibly filling, and I typically get it with a side of fries and am able to split it between two meals for myself. They also sell really cheap smash burgers (which one of my friends has gotten before), salads, and rice platters, which are all great. The restaurant itself is nice and cozy - I really love the wall art that they have up, and it seems like they keep the space clean. Of course, the fact that they are halal is an added bonus since I have a friend who eats halal only. The service is standard, nothing incredible but still good.

Ordered the chicken kabob plate but was told it would be 20 min and the chicken shawarma would take 2 minutes. So I switched to shawarma. It was supposed to come with a salad but all I got was shredded lettuce and no dressing. The rice and chicken lack flavor. I had to use Italian dressing at home to add some flavor to it. I really wanted to like it. Also got fries and they were limp and not crispy at all.

I haven't been here since my last review just because it's kind of out of the way for me. But I'm going to make this my regular spot. I forgot how tasty the chicken rice plate is. No salad next time on my rice plate. It got soggy from all the heat. We also got the chop cheese to try and it's good, not my cup of tea but my bf loved it. They're pretty fast. There wasn't anyone there when we went but we watched all the pick up orders and people picking up come and go pretty quickly. So if you're ever looking for something fast I'd definitely recommend.

Ordered the chicken and rice platter, mild. There was a tiny kick to it. Tasted really good and loved the white sauce on top. Ate some platters at the restaurant and took some Togo. The guy was nice enough to make the take out order a little later so that it would be fresh. Not a lot of tables to sit at, but I would come back.

So I was craving Mediterranean food and this place popped up on DoorDash. They didn't have any pics of their chicken kebabs. I still was like I'll take a chance cause I've never had a bad chicken kebab. I'm going to be honest I've heard you eat with your eyes first. When I got my food it wasn't appealing at all. I'm used to my food being separated. It was all together with rice, salad the chicken kebab and sauce drizzled over everything. The salad wasn't anything special at all just some iceberg lettuce. The rice wasn't very tasty and the chicken didn't taste like a traditional kebab. I'd suggest definitely separating food or at least having the option to put the sauce on the side. Not a great first impression at all.

Stopped by here this Sunday evening on my way out of Fresno, and ordered a rice plate with chicken. For some reason, the chicken was red, like Tandoori chicken. Not exactly what I was expecting, but the flavor was amazing, and it tasted really fresh and high quality. The rice was good, although it was a bit on the greasier side, and less on the seasoned side. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh, and the tzatziki sauce also tasted fresh and perfect. The man who took my order was very friendly, and made my food right away. I was surprised by how fast it came out, especially because it tasted freshly prepared. The portion size was on the smaller side for Mediterranean food, but so was the price. Both the portion size and price were about half that of my favorite place in Sacramento. Still, it was more than enough to fill me up, and I ended up taking a small amount of leftovers back to Yosemite. My only complaint would be the proportions of food. It was almost all rice, with maybe three or four ounces of chicken, a little bit of lettuce, a tiny amount of chopped tomato, and a good spritz of tsaziki. I would have loved more sauce, hummus, or maybe some cut up pita or fries. Although I would have liked more variety, I was satisfied overall, and felt like I got a decent value for the price I paid. I would definitely come back here again.

#3 CHICKEN SHAWARMA WRAP and French Fries
    Belen M.

Sorry guys, I was not impressed. I felt like it was very bland and tasteless. The fries seemed barely heated up. Chicken didn't really have any flavor and neither did the dipping sauce. Maybe I didn't get the right thing to be impressed, I'm willing to give it another shot, but it's also not going to be on my list to go for a while. Also, negative for me, you have to order from a tablet when you arrive. This always seems to take longer since people don't know what they are looking for. The sharpie wall mural was kind of cool-lots of drawings-seems like it's been smudged already unfortunately . I know it took someone a long time! Staff was nice, place was quiet when we went around lunch time. An employees daughter was hanging out and was just chilling.

#4 CHICKEN RICE PLATTER w/ extra red sauce on the side
    Mary T.

I wanted to try this place cus I heard it's similar to Halal Guys. Even the name sounds similar. I went in an ordered a chicken rice platter. He said the white and red sauce would be already on it. That was fine with me. I decided I wanted an extra red sauce on the side. I was gonna pay for it but he didn't charge me. I go to sit down and my food is already ready in less than a minute. They are pretty fast! So the chicken rice platter supposed to come with diced tomatoes and bell peppers and that is not present on my platter. It was just rice, lettuce, seasoned chicken, white and red sauce. The chicken alone was seasoned well. I was hoping the white sauce was like a garlic sauce but it wasn't.. I feel like it's missing something. Lucky for me, I had garlic sauce at home so I put that on there and it tasted a lot better. The red sauce is okay too. It's not that spicy. A little bland. Overall, the chicken rice platter is mid to me.

Nice vibe, friendly people, and good food. We all got the shwarma with chicken and lamb (a combo I haven't seen much) and it was nice. It is wrapped in what seemed to be a flour tortilla, which was also different. The price is reasonable as well, so I will be back!

Great People making GREAT FOOD! Ajmal is a Great person and his staff are Very, Very, Very Kind. This is what sets the foundation for GREAT FOOD! The Chicken Shawarma is unrivaled in Taste! The platters of lamb or chicken are deliciously accented with sauce and are a Fine Meal! Handmade items like the Falafel are beyond words as they are not the dry grainy types that you need water or shot of yogurt to get them down. I can't say enough Wonderful things about the food here! I am there every week ordering something as it is Truly Nourishing and a Meal! Buy local. Use the Revi system as it benefits the business and not the marketers like door dash and Grubhub et al. They take away from the business.

Good and quick food. It's not absolutely mind blowing but I guess I'm comparing it to The Halal Guys in New York. I got the chicken and rice plate $12.99, my advice would be to pay extra for more secret sauce. I also ordered it spicy which was not spicy at all. Still good quick food, fast service, nice guys

This original location remains my recommended spot for Mediterranean food. Many Mediterranean…read morerestaurants in Fresno County are Armenian-owned, while only a small handful--like this family-run restaurant--specialize in Lebanese cuisine. Lebanese food is widely considered among the best expressions of Mediterranean cooking due to its vibrant use of fresh ingredients, particularly herbs, lemon, garlic, and olive oil, along with a strong emphasis on healthy, plant-based, and grilled dishes. It offers diverse, shareable, and nutrient-dense options such as tabbouleh, hummus, and falafel, making it both flavorful and nutritious. I always enjoy dining at Golden Grill because they exemplify Lebanese cuisine so well. Their dishes highlight fresh herbs like mint and parsley, along with garlic and lemon juice, rather than relying heavily on spices. The result is a light, refreshing, and aromatic flavor profile that feels both vibrant and balanced. The kebabs are excellent. The grilled cubes of beef, chicken, and kafta (ground beef and lamb) skewers are flavorful, tender, and juicy, topped with herbs and grilled to perfection. They carry a subtle smokiness and savory aroma, and the meats are beautifully charred with vibrant color. Their pita and saj sandwiches are also very well done. Each sandwich is warm and carefully assembled, forming a sturdy pocket filled with high-quality ingredients. They combine savory meats (or falafel and vegetables), creamy sauces, and crunchy pickles and onions into a balanced bite. The bread holds generous fillings without collapsing while still being tender enough to bite through easily. The pocket opens cleanly, creating the perfect pouch for the ingredients. For a small restaurant with limited seating that appears to receive many to-go orders, the presentation for dine-in guests is especially thoughtful. The dishes are served on clean white ceramic plates and trays, with the food carefully arranged and portions balanced. It is simple yet elegant and visually appealing. Golden Grill also captures the Lebanese mezze-style dining experience. As someone of Korean heritage, I appreciate this approach, since it is similar to how Korean meals are served with many shared dishes that provide variety in every meal. Some of the shared plates include Lebanese staples like hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, and fresh flatbread. Everything here tastes fresh and well-prepared, with distinct textures and aromatic flavors. The signature entrées come with two cold appetizers. The hummus is silky smooth, a velvety blend of garbanzo beans and tahini that almost melts in your mouth. The baba ghanouj is creamy, garlicky, and finished with olive oil. The tabbouleh is bright and balanced with lemon juice, garlic, and a generous drizzle of olive oil that ties together the citrusy and earthy flavors. The restaurant itself is clean, with tables and chairs wiped down quickly after guests leave. Service is friendly, welcoming, and helpful when placing orders. Prices are also reasonable, especially considering many competing Mediterranean restaurants do not place the same emphasis on presentation or on creating a mezze-style dining experience at no additional cost. While some may prefer other Mediterranean cuisines, I personally enjoy the fresh, light, and diverse flavors that Lebanese food offers. Golden Grill's citrus-forward dishes and extensive mezze options make it one of my favorite Mediterranean spots.

Unfortunately, the Chicken Shawarma was noticeably dry and although there was a trace of sauce, it wasn't clear what it really was.
