Thai Chili is always good. I typically go to the Ellsworth location but this was closer. Food was fast and fresh as always. My only complaint about these guys is the paper bowls. No idea why they went away from the glass bowls with real silverware but it just seems cheaper now, especially with the plastic silverware. This is a first time I ordered from this place. I don't mind paying a higher price for good food, but I feel like this restaurant needs to bump up the quality if they are going to charge this much. The soup barely came with any vegetables and did not have amount of shrimp advertised!! It was pretty much broth with few pieces of tomatoes and few shrimp for $20. Also, the soup and curry was supposed to come with rice. Well, there was no rice in the order, so I had to make my own. The noodles and rolls were okay. The beef was not the best. I also noticed that restaurant literally was going to charge extra for each ingredient in the soup on Grub hub. When I ordered from another local place, the coconut soup came with tons of veggies, beef or chicken included in the price (not extra), chestnuts, and everything it was meant to come with.I really wanted to like this place because it's so convenient, but I'm disappointed. read more

This restaurant is just okay. It's good for the convenience that it's about 5 minutes from my house. The staff are nice. My family and I have had the Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, Pad Siew, Rice, and Thai Tea. I've only eaten here three times and the first time I only had Tom Yum soup. It was good but not as good as I have had Tom Yum in authentic Thai restaurants. The Pad Siew was good but VERY greasy. But the next time we ordered from there the Pad Siew was better. But I was very disappointed in the meat choices. We wanted beef with the Pad Siew and all that showed up on the online ordering was different types of tofu and maybe shrimp. When we ordered Pad Siew the first time, there was a beef option so I don't know what happened there. We got the fried tofu in it and it was gross. It was not fried at all and just had a dry texture. And I like I said, I only live about 5 minutes or less from this place and it for all soft and nasty. I only ended up eating the noodles and broccoli. The Pad Thai is okay as well but I would suggest getting the Pad Siew before the Pad Thai. The rice is good especially for the price which I believe is only $1. It's small for $1 but it's not bad. It's cooked perfectly. The Thai Tea was good. Very sweet but good. Many places that serve Thai Tea usually make it very sweet so I kind of expected that so I usually wait to drink it to let it water down a bit. read more

First time here and let me say it's EXCELLENT. I ordered the pad prig pao with chicken. The portion is large and it's filled with veggies and a savory sauce to dump my rice into (you can get noodles too). I also ordered some Thai dumplings steamed. Those are also great! There are different types of unsweetened tea which is a nice change from the standard. Employees are friendly and I could hear my order being cooked fresh - took just a little under 10 mins. Okay so as much as I love love love Thai Chili the one that is on Val Vista and Baseline and Thai Chili To-Go closer to my home which is off of Chandler Heights, this location took it to far today. I go very often and the times I've ordered through the app or over the phone I do come across me having to wait longer than the time given to me which is fine but today when I walked in they said it was going to be 20 minutes to have my food ready. Well it took an hour today. I'm not sure if they missed my food ticket but everyone who had ordered over the phone or in person got their orders and left. As much as I the food. I won't order from this location any longer. I just keep coming across that and at times can be an inconvenience. read more

Fantastic place, they've been great all throughout the pandemic by limiting interactions with customers, limiting the space in the lobby to allow fewer customers, and wearing masks for everything. So far I haven't had to wait any more than 5 minutes or so to get my food and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. They even have a bottle of hand sanitizer and masks for you to use if you need it. More stores should be taking precautions like this! In addition to that, the food itself is delicious, my favorite is the Pad Prig Pao with rice noodles. Definitely stop by if you're into thai food, it won't disappoint! read more

For transparency, I'm a Thai food snob because I grew up on the west coast and lived in Thailand for some years. Anyway, the staff was friendly and it seemed popular with people. Personally though, I didn't enjoy the food much. My child ordered Phad Thai, which was very greasy, and I ordered curry which was very heavy on the salt. Although it was nice and spicy, I didn't see any Thai chilis -- just jalepenos. I wanted to order the Thai basil but it appears they don't use Thai holy basil or offer kai dao (fried egg). If you're looking for authentic Thai food, this isn't the place -- but it's great that there is a Thai place in GIlbert. read more

This review is entirely on service. I called on a Sunday evening to order take out. I was on hold for over 10 minutes and decided to order online as advised by the recording. I ordered 2 entrees at 6:49pm. By 7:20pm I have not received an email stating what time my order will be ready. Decided to drive over to pick up the food. As I was parking, I received an email stating that my order will be ready for pickup at 8:39pm!!! 2 hours for take out!!! Thai Chili 2 Go is mainly a take out restaurant. The food is good, but they seem very overwhelmed on a Friday evening. My pickup order took over 45 minutes until it was ready to go. The whole place was filled with people patiently waiting and waiting and waiting for their food to get done. I'm not sure if more staffing in the kitchen would help or if they're limited by the kitchen itself. Either way, it looks like they're doing well and may be ready for yet another new location. This is my second time eating here. The food is really pretty delicious. The best Thai food I've had was actually in Hawaii. This isn't on that level, but it's full of flavor with generous portions. This particular location tastes different than the chandler location. I ordered through Uber eats and the fried rice had zero flavor. The noodles were heavily drenched in soy sauce. The portions are small for what an $11 entree should be. I can order from a competitor and get a full to go box as compared to these small round containers. Let me start by saying that I love the food at Thai Chili to Go! We live in Gilbert and prior to the location at Higley and Chandler Heights opening we had to travel to Queen Creek to pick up our food - something we were more than willing to do. We were very happy when we learned that the location at Higley and Chandler Heights was opening since it would be about 3 miles from our house. Avoid this location! This is most horribly managed restaurant I have ever encountered. All orders placed online because the wait time to order in person is ridiculous. Order #1 - Picked up our to go order and the order was not ready when promised. When we got home we discovered that an entire entree was missing. They acknowledged the mistake so we had to return to pick up the missing entree and warm up the food we had picked up 30 minutes earlier. A mistake, it happens. Order #2 - Ordered multiple entrees and the order was not ready when promised. Since we had missing food on our first order we checked the bag to make sure everything was there. When we arrived home and my wife opened her red curry w/shrimp it was like a half order and there were only 2 shrimp when there is normally 6 (it's $3 extra for shrimp). It literally looked like it was an eat in order that was half finished, transferred to a take out container and accidentally placed in our bag. My wife called the restaurant and they assured us that was not the case but to come back and they would give us a full order. I am still not sure what happened and if it was someone's left overs but it was another meal that resulted in most of our order being cold before everyone had their food. Order #3 - February 14, 2018. We placed our order online and received an email stating it would be ready in 50 minutes. 50 minutes? Oh well, it's Valentine's Day on a weeknight so takeout is a great option and they must be slammed. We arrived at our designated time and were told it would be another 10 minutes. We had to wait 25 minutes along with the entire seating area of people that also were waiting well beyond the promised time. Needless to say after waiting nearly an hour after placing the order then having to wait an additional 25 minutes in the restaurant is ridiculous when you are a takeout restaurant. There were a lot of upset people there last night. Any restaurant is entitled to an occasional mistake and any one of these alone would have been fine, especially since the food is great, but I cannot recommend this location to anyone and will never return again. I have had positive experiences at Queen Creek , Power Road and Alma School Road locations so I suggest those. Very disappointing. I ordered the pad Thai and there was absolutely zero peanut flavor other than the half an ounce of chopped nuts they give you to pour on it. It was hot for the sake of hot. Huge cuts of onion and bell pepper and almost no chicken, and again the sauce was just hot for the sake of being hot. My wife's order was the same, no flavor, just hot. My husband and I have loved eating here since we moved to Arizona. The food is SO good, and I'm picky about my Thai food. It's been our go-to date night restaurant. However, now that they've raised the prices, it will be $6.00 + more every time. We'll still go, but not nearly as much. This place is always hit and miss for us. I have tried the drunken noodles, chow mien, a few of the curry dishes. Some days they are good other days thy are just awful. Several times we have done substitutes and they are wrong. Rice instead of noodles and we get rice. Sadly it's always so busy your just in a rush to get home not always thinking to check your order until it's too late. This Thai Chili 2 go isn't on par with the others. Since it's closest to our house we've given it several try's, but tonight it really fell short. The chicken fried rice is our favorite with medium heat. Tonight not only were our orders without heat, they lacked flavor and egg; tonight's filler of choice was onions and more onions. First time I have ever ordered food from here. Ordered Pad Thai and it was the worst version of Thai food that you can possibly imagine. Don't get me wrong, I was not expecting a dime in experience at a place that mainly serves food to go. The noodles were complete overcooked, basically clumped together in a big wad of sticky nonsense. I could literally take the entire bowl of pad Thai, stick my fork or chopsticks in the middle, and lift out the entire contents. Barely any vegetables in the dish (had four pieces of green onion in the entire bowl). Did not see one been sprout 9 or any egg. The chicken (protein) was hardly discernible. The flavor was ok. As mentioned the first time I have ever eaten this food and the last. Not sure how am establishment can even stay in business. This representation of pad Thai is at the bottom of any comparison I could possibly make and even that is a stretch. I would not recommend this place. Decent food for a chain restaurant. Ate here a few times with no issue but the last time I ordered from here I did it through GrubHub. Received the first email from GrubHub saying they were confirming my order with Thai chili to go within 30-40 minutes. I waited, and waited, and waited, after 45 minutes without receiving the second notification I called the restaurant and the young lady said, it's still here, and been done for a while, and no one picked it up! Well, I was supposed to pick it up but you didn't send the notification. She claimed she did but . They should have made me a new meal because of the mistake, but they wouldn't and by the time I ate the noodles were mushy from being overcooked and the vegetables we soggy from sitting in the hot to-go container for so long. The yellow curry is flavorful and hearty, so be sure you're hungry if you plan on eating it by yourself. We tried Thai Chili 2 Go on my son's recommendation - Saturday evening and I didn't feel like cooking. After his rave reviews I was really anticipating a great meal. However, I was sorely disappointed by both the meal and the service. Ordering online was easy enough: the menu was simple and the website easily navigated. I received a confirmation email several minutes after placing the order, and then a second email advising of when the order would be ready. Not bad, seemed efficient, EXCEPT for the 45-minute quote. I arrived a little earlier than the specified time in the hope the order would be ready early. No such luck. When I checked in with what should have been 5 minutes to go I was advised it would be about 20 minutes. Seriously?! So I sat and waited (I was offered a beverage, which was kind, but I wanted my food), and waited, and waited. And I watched, while the expediters jockeyed tickets instead of preparing them in order, with delivered orders (the Door Dash and Uber Eats drivers) noticeably being pushed ahead of others waiting - who does that? Finally, an hour plus after placing my order, for "fast" food, my name was finally called and I took my bag of food home. No napkins or utensils were provided. My husband and son both seemed to enjoy their meals - or they were just so hungry it didn't matter. My son had fried rice with chicken and shrimp; my husband had Panang curry. I had the drunken noodles with chicken, that had nice heat, and okay flavor, but were DROWNING in oil, and the noodles were matted together. I actually had to peel them apart before I could eat. I'm giving this 5 stars not because this is the best Thai food I've ever had in my life - I'm giving it 5 stars because for what this restaurant is, it does it very well. It has a limited menu (a good thing in my opinion! There aren't 53 items to choose from!) and the prices are reasonable ($9 - $10). It takes about 15-20 min for them to make the food - I am glad to wait since I *hope* it means they don't make everything in a huge batch! Service has been friendly each time we've gone. I had the yellow curry the last time I went - very tasty! Basically - it is a smaller restaurant with a basic Thai menu - and it executed on that very well.
