The restaurant has a darker, relaxing atmosphere that always helps me unwind. It's a nice change from the bright lighting you find in most restaurants and makes for a more enjoyable dining experience. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. I ordered the Firecracker Shrimp, which was flavorful with just the right amount of heat, and my husband ordered the Kung Pao Chicken. Both dishes were very good and arrived fresh and hot. Each entrée comes with steamed rice, but honestly, I usually skip it because I'd rather dive right into all the delicious protein and vegetables. Overall, this was another enjoyable visit. Parking 10/5 Arrived shortly after 12:30 which is a busy service hour for restaurants and especially this stretch of restaurants along Superstition Springs Blvd. All the restaurants share parking and it's typically challenging finding parking here. Not today spaces near the front were available hence the rating. Atmosphere 5/5 It's PF Chang's what's not to like? PF Chang's entrance to the market was based on Atmosphere and leveled up menu offerings. I've been a loyal customer since its valley launch on Scottsdale road and Camelback in Scottsdale. Service 3/5 Balls and strikes. Very disappointed. Prior to today's service here has been excellent. Counter intuitively I was generous with this rating and tip despite this lackluster experience. Today my server didn't introduce herself. Every interaction was on the mechanical check to box fashion. Refills of my Mango iced tea was slow at best. My chicken lettuce wrap tray was removed before asking if I was done. There was a large family gathering next to me that took most of here time while another server stood around with little to do. As a career manager I place fault largely on management not being on top of the dining room to recognize the problem during my visit. They are responsible for staffing and training. And let's be honest, not everyone has what takes to be the server we hope for and expect. Food 5/5 I have been moving around the menu from my typical go-to's and experience new-to-me dishes. Today was no exception. Ordered chicken lettuce wraps, Edamame, Mandarin crunchy salad. Everything was superbly prepared and delicious. The wraps are hugely popular and I love the condiment trays sauce and red chile puréed. Their edamame is fresh and cooked perfectly to enjoy the peals of their pods. The salad is akin to the Applebees oriental salad but fresher, better ingredients including incorporation of the right mix of mango. We came to do the Mother's day special 5 course deal on their busiest day of the year. We didn't get greeted for about 10-15, but then a server (Tori) saw my sad face & asked if our server came yet. Lunch special: Mongolian beef. The fried rice I upgraded to was very bland and had no additions. The beef was overly salty and very tough meat. There was just enough to satisfy me after my appetizer but the portion overall was unimpressive. The lettuce wrap was more than half crispy rice whereas I would've preferred a light garnish. They gave me 3 lettuce leafs with it which was insufficient. Overall I was unimpressed, but the service and decor were nice. I did wait almost 40 minutes for my food at a mostly slow 2:00pm. Went to changs for my birthday. As always the food was very good and ample. The server was good, friendly and easy to communicate with. I was offered a choice of deserts for my birthday. The dish was very good. To my surprise when the bill arrived, I was charged for the desert. They rival Disneyland which is also amazing for food allergies. My parents joined me on this visit for a quick weekday dinner. We enjoyed various dishes, and had a few we wouldn't order in the future based off preference. We also found a few favorites that we could see ourselves returning to the. Ordered Kung Pao chicken and it was so dry and overcooked. Had so much rice which was dry and bland, couldn't eat. Maybe if there was sauce on the chicken it might have been better and it was overloaded with peanuts. Hot and sour soup was decent but not traditional in flavor. And asked for a small bowl of chili sauce. My food was out in minutes. My actual comment was, "I didn't know this was fast food". The food was hot. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The thin slices of beef were tender and juicy. The sauce ti was cooked with was good, but I added a little chili sauce to give the dish a little kick. We've been here before and it's P.F. Chang's, the food is usually good and the service usually falls in line, however tonight was not great. It's a Sunday night and slow as can be. We ordered my sangria at the the same time as the app-pan fried potstickers. The appetizer came out 15 minutes later. DELICIOUS. No sign of my drink. The app has come and gone, still no drink. I used the restroom and the bartender was chatting and laughing with a coworker, no biggie but like work and chat at the same time. I kindly asked the bartender for a sangria since it seems it'd been forgotten. After the second time ordering, my drink finally came out right away. The potstickers were fantastic. Sangria was tasty. Changs spicy chicken and the brussel were delicious, just wish the service was more up to par especially for being so slow :( read more
