I have been here a few times and the food has been consistent. I am a little concerned that there was nobody besides me and the lone employee in the shop nearly the entire time I ordered and ate my meal. The food had good flavor and was hot (both spice and temperature, though more on the former than the latter). There is not much in the way of ambience -- except the K-pop music playing, which is kind of fun -- the space is sparsely appointed and the tables and chairs are very simple. I am OK with simple as long as the cost cutting does not extend to the food. I had the "Piggy Bop" this time (basically a BBQ pork bowl) and I was happy with my choice. The portion was just right for a weekday lunch and it was served immediately. I suppose a benefit of not being crowded is zero waiting. I will come back again and try some more things on the menu. read more

I am usually the type to leave a 5 star review. However, I cannot with this location. I'm a fan of cup bop in general- I've been to the Chandler location and it was fantastic. This one, over the months each time I've gone it's felt like it's only gotten worse. The tables are never clean when I go. Which, as someone who is also in the food/ service industry- is a big no no. Most of the staff I've interacted with don't say anything at all, and are not friendly. The food this most recent time I went was cold, the chicken was dry and hard. (We ate in the restaurant, and this was dinner time) All in all... if you like this style of food I recommend it, (I have definitely had my fair share of cravings for cup bop!) but I cannot recommend this location. read more

Food here is great! I would totally keep coming if there was a location near me. However, if im in the area I do make an effort to stop by a Cup-bop! Also can appreciate this place for handing out punch cards to their customers as an incentive for a free meal. Unfortunately, this was a pretty disappointing experience. When I picked up my order, I wasn't told that they were out of Mandoo, so I left assuming my order was complete. I checked it in my car before driving away and noticed the Mandoo was missing. I went back inside, and that's when I was told they were out until Monday. I was told the app should have notified me, but I explained that it did not, and I had already been charged for the item. They offered to replace it with another order of fries, which I appreciated, but it still wasn't what I had originally ordered and it did not cover the amount I had originally paid for. Unfortunately, once I got home, I also realized that my bowls weren't made correctly. One was missing the extra protein we paid for, and neither bowl was made "sloppy" as requested. Also I ordered the K-Dawg and when I bit into it, it was just uncooked batter. The outside looked fine but the whole inside was still raw. I really hate to be that customer, but it's frustrating when you pay for specific items and customizations and don't receive what you ordered, especially when you aren't notified that something is unavailable before picking up your food. I hope this was just an off day, because I'd like to have a better experience next time. read more

Just moved to AZ from CA and was super excited to see Cupbop in the neighborhood. I love Korean food and have seen ads for Cupbop so my expectations were high. Unfortunately I don't know what was going on with this store on this morning but my K-BBQ Beef bowl was lacking by a lot. For $13.65, I received a bowl of over cooked beef and lettuce. My order was To-Go so I didn't see what was placed in the bowl until I returned home. The menu advertised each bowl came with cabbage and noodles. My bowl had none of those things. Very disappointed in my first experience with Cupbop. I hope management can figure out what happened and make changes because this location could be in big trouble if they continue this way. read more

Wanted to try this place out and as the guy was taking our order and asking what we would like I wanted 2 kids cup and he said sorry but all the Korean bbq beef, pork (pretty much all the meats) except fries chicken they had was all there was left. They are "thawing" more meat out and it'll take an hour...... ok for a fast food Korean joint and Korean bbq beef being popular and they were out and didn't prepare to thaw beef ahead of time was ???? I used to crave this place but was so disappointed to see a decline. Noodles not the same, there was so little chicken and had dried over done pieces, and hardly any sauce now. A handwritten note told us if we wanted extra sauce it would be 70 cents more! The place was empty and dirty we took our order to go. We ordered a piggy bop and a B bop. It was pretty good, but not great. The Piggy Bop was heavily sauced (too much) I felt like it needed more cabbage. Rice was overcooked. Big portions though. Service was fine. We ate there but it seemed to more of a take out place. Not sure if I would try again. read more

It became worse and worse the longer we were there. It is the dirtiest place...we almost walked out when we got inside but we were hungry and heard good things about Cupbop so decided to stay and try it. Wish we had trusted our instincts to leave, then and there! The food was barely warm and appeared to have been sitting for longer than what should be allowable. Everything we tried had an overly, sickeningly sweet flavor despite our spice levels. Our 9 year old rated her food 1/10, and that's saying something for our non-picky eater! The floors were sticky, walls were dirty and scuffed, behind the counter was messy and gross despite there not being hardly anyone in the restaurant with us. The soda machine looked as though it hadn't been cleaned properly, perhaps ever in its existence. The bathrooms both didn't have soap and the WORST part was we had seen one of the employees coming out of the restroom while we were there--most likely washing without soap and therefore failed to follow state employee guidelines--let alone basic human hygiene. Needless to say, we threw our food in the trash, doused ourselves in sanitizer and eagerly made our exit. We will not be back and will warn others to stay away from this location. read more

I tried Cupbob for the first time and ordered the combo bop (2 protein and veggies). Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. The flavors were bland, very less quantity of proteins and the ingredients seemed underwhelming. It was an okay experience but not something I'd rush to have again On the positive side, the service was friendly and the place was clean. We took our food to go. It was actually pretty delicious!!!. The downside was that it was def pricy ( in my opinion) for a short order place. And they weren't going to put enough protein so we had to order extra protein at an extra cost. The glass noodles were great and so was the sauce. Went last night with my wife, as this has been on our list of places to try for a bit. Not busy for a Sat night. The 2 girls working were nice and helpful. We got 2 bowls, one with the orange chicken, and the other with half beef, and half chicken. The orange chicken was not our favorite. It was dry, and hard. The rice was ok, but seemed old and dry. The cabbage was the best part, and it was just sliced green cabbage. The noddles were not my jam. The beef had good flavor, but was chewy. The place was fairly clean, and the service was good, but the food was just ok, and I don't think we would return. read more

I have such a love/hate relationship with this location. They are notoriously out of something or very behind on the allotted pick up time. 1 out of 3+ times they've called to ask if they could replace with something else. Me and my mom decided to try this place out after spotting it during a Starbucks run. Going in for the first time can feel rather intense as there is plenty of options. Every bowl includes cabbage, rice noodles, and white rice inside it. You get to pick your entree for the bowl. I kept mine simple this time by just picking some chicken. After the bowl is made you then pick a sauce to go on top of it. The sauces range on a 1-10 scale. 1 being sweet and 10 being spicy. Not knowing what to expect I just picked a 3. My meal also came with 3 gyoza (or potstickers). The meal was very yummy! I'd say it filled me up quite well also, despite looking smaller. The sauce was not spicy and stayed on the sweeter end (almost teriyaki like). The gyoza was also tasty! Especially with the dipping sauce. My two year old even devoured her noodles - yes, they offer kids bowls! They also include the cabbage, rice noodles, and white rice. But you can exclude any of it. Overall I would definitely return here. I think I would try a level 5 on sauce next time and see if I could get more noodles versus rice. read more

Their fun yellow sign stared at me for months, as I salivated with anticipation for Korean BBQ in a cup! Give me all the bibimbap! When they opened, Mr. P and I ordered using a delivery service (sorry, I wasn't up to peopling, even though they're literally a block away). Unfortunately, I learned that using this method, you weren't able to customize your bowl as you would like. We ordered a B Bop bowl (BBQ Beef) and a Noodle bowl. I also ordered a Kko Kko Stick on the side and a soda. When our food arrived, the paper bowls were soggy. One set of chopsticks (two bowls - guess we each get one stick), otherwise no utensils. The sweet spicy mayo sauce was weird. I kind of liked the sweet potato noodles, but overall, the bowls didn't taste like much. The taste of the noodle was like that one time that I hated matcha green tea Frappuccino, until I had it a few times then liked it in a weird and addictive way. But I digress. The rice and BBQ beef were both dry and tough, like they were leftovers. There was a tiny bit of cabbage and no other veggies, so it was bland and fairly colorless. And then...they forgot my chicken stick! If the order is stapled to the bag, how do you miss putting in an item? Especially when there are 3 items?! I'm hoping that the food will be better if I went there myself. I don't know. But it shouldn't become old and crusty on a 3 minute drive. Disappointed is an understatement. I can't imagine that this business, despite the wait time for its opening, will last very long. Maybe, if we're lucky, something good will go in there instead. read more

I was so excited to see this place.. Drove by all the time waiting for it to open.. So finally tried it out today.. What a pure disappointment. You get rice cabbage and yam noodle in the bowl.. Then you pick your protein. Beef, pork, chicken, and few other options.. Then you pick the sauce level and you shake em and eat em.. Well... You can't call it bibimbop with only noodle (japche) and cabbage.. I wish there were more side dishes you could have added to the bowl. The spice level 10 had a good heat but nothing crazy. Over all flavor was not bad on mine.. Then my friend ordered the chicken bop with mild sauce... I don't know what kind of creamy sauce that was but it was sweet. On top of that chicken was sweet crispy chicken.. My friend could only eat half because of the sweetness and just the odd flavor... So i tried some of her bowl and all I can say is who came up with this sauce... I mean it's fine being some what if bibimbop and something different but that sauce does not belong in bibimbop.. This is our second time having cupbop but first time at this location. My kids love this place! The cups are one size unless you get a kids cup. There are 11 different variations to chose from. Some contain chicken, pork, beef or combo. They all come with rice and noodles and cabbage. They add your protein and a variety of sauces and sesame seeds. They add a lid and before you eat it you're supposed to shake it up. The sauce has 10 different levels of heat. Well 1 is sweet and 2-10 goes from a lil hot to crazy hot. We had levels 3 and 4 spice level and those a comfortable hot. We also got pot stickers and it's served with bulgogi sauce. Those were delicious but not very hot(cook hot I mean). I do feel the price is a bit high for what you get. Both bowls were $11.95. You don't even get half a chicken breast in the bowl. I do like however it's different then your everyday food offerings at most restaurants and it feels like your eating healthier then typical fast food. We will be back! read more

I also requested sauce on the side, which is clearly printed on the receipt, yet they put the sauce directly on the food and no sauce in a little cup. Cupbop is a very fun, nicely decked out Korean, healthy fast food. Manager Silas did an outstanding job telling me about the new place and making my popular Rockbop(bowl of rice, noodles, with fried chicken). There's a fantastic selection of sauces and I enjoyed 3 of them. The Korean peach and Apple sodas were also excellent. The place is very clean, food was ready in under 5 minutes and best of all, I really enjoyed eating it. I'd like to see more of these in Arizona and California. read more

Came here after a study sesh at Starbucks next door. The poor reviews almost prevented me from coming, but I wanted to give them an honest try. Korean style tangy fried chicken was actually really good! Flavorful and crispy. I would def order this again. Bulgogi was okay, slightly dry, prob would skip this next time. Rice and noodles were good. I ordered the spicy mayo and bulgogi/teriyaki sauce on the side because they seem pretty heavy handed with it. The sauce scale was confusing, I think it'd be better to just name and describe the different sauces because they have different flavors and not just spice level. & 2 bucks for a tiny side of kimchi? ): Kimchi should be like standard banchan that comes with the bowl, haha.
