bamboo chicken

Been coming here for many years! Even during busy hours there's always had plenty of seating. Usually not too loud and clean interior. Also big parking lot in front. Our go-to's are: pad see ew and the pineapple fried rice. This time we ordered: - pad kee mao: popular dish for a reason! Not too salty, has a mix of chicken and seafood. On the milder side but pairs really nice with the thai chilies on the counter. - bamboo chicken: our first time trying this dish. Was a little salty for our liking so I don't think we would order it next time. Vegetables and chicken were really well cooked though. Definitely recommend a side of rice if you order this.

Plastic in our pad see ew
ILoveFood 2.

Found plastic in our food. The pad see ew was salty, the pad Thai was bland and the noodles were stuck together. The coconut soup was extremely sour like Vietnamese hot and sour soup. The wontons had a tiny pinch of meat inside. The icing on the cake was finding plastic in our food.

I haven't been here for a few years. We decided to have dinner here tonight while we were in the neighborhood. Food was as delicious as I remembered. Not sure why the low ratings on Yelp? We ordered the combination fried rice and chicken curry with bamboo shoots. Fried rice came with beef, pork, two shrimps, and fried eggs. That was very flavorful and so tasty. The chicken curry was perfectly seasoned and the chicken was tender. Wish they put a bit more bamboo shoots. Overall, it was a great meal. Restaurant was full for a Sunday late afternoon/early evening. Service was also good.

An amazing, unassuming gem in Irvine. My favourite Thai food spot -- no social media hype, no frills, just kind staff and awesome food.

Pad See Eww

Friendly and good service. Was a little bit of a wait but nothing too crazy. The food is quickly prepared and piping hot off. Definitely can taste all the deliciousness the dishes have to offer. My favorite was the pad see eww. That's a staple I try when going to any Thai place. The pad Thai also had a flavorful taste as well as the combo fried rice. The restaurant itself was clean and not loud.

Stopped by for a casual dinner during the week. The plaza itself can get hectic at times but there was plenty of parking when we went. The inside is quaint but clean and we were seated immediately. The fried rice was tasty but it would've been perfect if it was cooked just a tad more. The noodles were seasoned well and was a healthy portion. Service was quick and efficient. Solid Thai spot, could see myself coming back soon.

Beef pad see ew

This is a small little Thai restaurant in Irvine. It's very casual. The servers were nice and friendly. The menu is simple. We ordered beef pad see ew, house fried rice and angel wings. The food was ok. In an area where there are so many options for Asian food, the flavor really needs to stand out otherwise it's just mediocre. The taste was ok. I was hoping for it to be more flavorful. The angel wings were densely packed and dry. The fried rice had more toppings than rice and the meat on it was tough. I've had better pad see ew elsewhere. Overall, the experience was ok.

This is a very casual restaurant and seemed pretty popular on yelp, so I decided to try it out. I came here with a friend early on a Saturday night and was able to be seated immediately. However, the service was a little slow. It took awhile to get our food and it seemed like quite a few tables were also waiting on their food too. I ended up ordering a phad see iw beef. It was not bad but not amazing either. However, they gave a generous amount of beef compared to other restaurants. The price was also not too expensive as well. Overall, I would come back again.

Food was so delicious !! Service was fast!! Highly recommend! So flavorful and so tasty!! the ambiance was great and food came out steamy hot !

As a huge fan of Thai cuisine, I've found that it tends to be either absolutely excellent or a total miss .I've passed by Thai Café many times and finally gave it a try. The interior is simple and cozy. We ordered catfish, shrimp fried rice, and shrimp Pad Thai. The catfish was outstanding--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The Pad Thai and fried rice were just okay. Portion sizes were generous, and the staff was kind. While the dining area was quiet, there were plenty of delivery orders going out. I'd come back just for the catfish!

Food was just ok. I was expecting it to be more flavorful. Drunken noodles lacked basil. Service was great I would rate the servers 5 stars super nice and pleasant. They served the food pretty quick. Decor is lackluster. Simple. Mango sticky rice -rice was over cooked and the mango was not thinly sliced like the dish calls for.

Decor- 4/5 Cute and like the decor Very cozy and small Service-4/5 Attentive and kind Food-3/5 Tom ka chicken soup- 5/5 I loved the mushrooms and chicken, could skip tomatoes A bit sour but delicious Steamed spicy whole fish- 2/5 asked for it nonspicy Fish was tender and cooked well but the amount of garlic was SO overpowering I couldn't taste much else

Pineapple fried rice

3.5 Stars...the reason I'm pushing this to a 4 stars is because I grew up in the SGV where there are more Thai options available with in a small area. This place is good, but I've definitely had better without going to Thailand. I have been getting take out from this place for years and have actually never dined in until recently! The service was great and attentive even though it was somewhat busy. What surprised me was the the dining area was really well lit. All the dishes were delicious, especially the green curry which is something I always get when I see it, I was told it doesn't come with rice, I responded with a WTH look, she then said, "You can eat it with the pineapple fried rice." I think that would just be weird. How does a curry not come with white rice automatically, that's just nickel and diming customers on a whole different level, It's like going to Jimmy John's and they say the bread is a separate order Portions seems slightly larger dining in than when I get it in a box, might have to dine in more often now.

They have improved their service and their food is always good. The Spicy chicken fried is my favorite! Kids like the sweet and sour pork.

I ordered a Pad Thai, and it was so sweet! I was barely able to eat a couple of bites and had to throw away the rest of $15 food.

Yes they are open , 949-559-5382 , they have no web site, look at yelp pictures for menu,

We love this place!!!!!!! Hello, can someone post the latest menu please?

They don't have a website, you must come in

Anyone know if they are open for dining inside yet?

Went there three days ago and they are still not doing indoor dining. Thai Kitchen on Barranca is owned by the same family and they are currently back to indoor seating.

Anyone know if this place is still doing business? I tried calling today (Sunday, March 28, 2021) at 4pm and no one picked up. Called 3 different times. Online searches show business hours are correct and should be open...

Yes they opened

Do the close early now or on Fridays? I went this past weekend at 530 pm and it was closed.

Take out service only since the pandemic started

Anyone know if they are open to dine in?? The phone # is busy....

They are not open to dine in. Only togo orders for now.

Did this place close? I keep calling but get a User Busy signal?? Please let me know.

They still open. My wife had to call several times to place a phone order. They probably just busy taking phone orders.

Can I still order stuff other than what's on the lunch menu during lunch? Or is the lunch menu really the only thing I can order from during those hours? I ask because I wanted some Tom Yum hotpot and they didn't have it on the lunch menu.

I think they will, I wanted the trout one afternoon and they totally hooked it up I'm sure they would do that for you too!

Why it closed? Does Anyone know? Thank you

They are open , just very busy

Does anyone know the phone number to this restaurant? I called and I get a busy tone.

Well, I guess it was bound to happen. While my food adventures in OC have largely been successful,…read moreit was inevitable that I'd end up coming across a place that so many folks like that just didn't hit the mark for me. However, I never would've thought that place was going to be Siam Station. After hearing good things about their spot in Cupertino/the Bay Area from several friends, it felt rather fortuitous when we randomly came across their original location - and with no line in sight! Inside, they've got a cozy sort of vibe and it's cool how they have some outdoor tables set-up as well. As for the menu, it didn't seem all that extensive at a glance, but it has all of the staples you'd expect to find among their appetizers, soups, salads, fried rice, stir fried noodles, noodle soups, curry dishes, entrees, and desserts. -- ZESTY WINGS - Deep Fried Chicken Wings Topped with Crispy Basil and Served with Chili Sauce Easily our favorite dish of the night. The wings were really crispy on the outside and oh so juicy on the inside. Even though there wasn't much of the sauce, which was flavorful but not that spicy, it was fine - the wings were still great without it. -- KHAO SOI with Chicken - Yellow Curry Broth with Egg Noodles and Chicken and Served with Red Onions, Lime, and Pickles Ehh...this was okay, I guess. On the plus side, the chicken was tender and I thought the broth was pretty good - not the best I've had, but better than most. That said, I didn't love the egg noodles, especially the crispy ones after they had soaked up the broth. -- PAD KEE MOW (Drunken Noodles) with Crispy Pork - Flat Rice Noodles Stir Fried with Spicy Basil Garlic Sauce, Bell Peppers, Tomato, Sweet Onion, and Thai Basil I was super excited for this, but it was disappointing. The first thing we noticed was how pale it was and, sadly, the taste matched. Whether it be their garlic sauce or some chilis, this needed more. As for the pork, it was definitely crispy, but a few pieces bordered on dry/burnt. -- MANGO STICKY RICE A little hit, a little miss. The mango was fine (decently sweet, soft), but the sticky rice left us a little wanting. Mainly, I didn't love the glob of coconut cream, was it was pretty thick and viscous, which gave the rice a weird texture/coating to it. As far as service goes, it was uneventfully good. Although there was one point where it was hard to hail someone, it was mostly because the restaurant got increasingly busy and one of the servers was trying to help a group sort something out with their order. Otherwise, our food came out relatively quick and the workers were rather efficient with everything. Despite how we left feeling bummed out by our experience, it had more to do with being underwhelmed than the food actually being "bad". Admittedly, we came in with high hopes/expectations from all of the hype we had heard and it probably didn't help that we had gone to Manaao the night before, which is one of my favorite Thai restaurants anywhere. What's more, I wonder if we just didn't get the best that Siam Station has to offer. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to coming back to find out (and potentially writing an update), but perhaps I'll just try my luck at their spot in Cupertino that my friends like so much.

The staff was friendly and quickly greeted and guided me to my reserved table. The space was cozy and warm while having a minimalist vibe, but still had that small business owner feel to it. The menu had so many food options, more than some of the other thai spots around in OC. Here, you'll find some more rare dishes besides your more common and popular noodle and curry dishes. Dishes we ordered: - Crab Noodles: this was probably the most popular one for the table! Amount of crab was pretty good for the value and noodles were perfectly sweet and savory with the fried egg. Would definitely order this again! - Panang Curry with Chicken: this was also probably one of the best panang that I've had! The chicken was also very tender. Medium heat was the perfect amount of space that packed flavor with just the right kick to it. - Creamy Udon in Tom Yum Soup: just a little mild for those who don't want anything too spicy. While the crispy pork had good flavor, the pieces were a bit hard to chew. - Pad Thai: not usually my go-to dish because it's more sweet than savory, but this dish was pretty good. - Egg Rolls: perfect to share as an appetizer! Filling was well seasoned and rolls were lightly fried for a good crispy texture. With so many popular thai spots around OC, it can be tricky finding one that checks all the marks, but this one might have it all! Now I just need to make sure to save stomach space to try their mango sticky rice...

The Pad Thai was my favorite of the night. The flavor was so well-balanced -- not overly sweet, not too tangy, and the savory notes came through perfectly. The noodles were cooked just right and every bite felt comforting without being too heavy. You can tell they paid attention to the sauce ratio instead of drowning the dish in it. The calamari and shrimp with egg yolk glaze had that addictive crispy texture while still staying light. The egg yolk coating added richness without overpowering the seafood, and the sweet chili dip on the side tied everything together really well. The BBQ ribeye was tender, flavorful, and paired nicely with the fresh greens and dipping sauce. It had that smoky charred flavor that makes it hard to stop eating piece after piece. Overall, this meal felt satisfying without any one dish overpowering the others. Definitely one of those spots where you leave already thinking about what you want to order next time. Sadly, I didn't have enough room for dessert, but the mango sticky rice is definitely first on my list next time.

People just need to relax and not see problems when there were none. I see that I'm not the preferred yelpie, having been invited just 3x in my 11 years being a productive yelpie, it's OK I cherish friendship w many yelpies here and I like being of help as I'm a passionate foodie but please enough w the constant messages complaining about imaginary issues. TYVM. I have traveled the world, I raised 2 executives so I know what being offensive is, I'm polite to everybody I know and love people from all nationality or else I would not have spent time learning 5 languages and above all I HAVE COMMON SENSE, which unfortunately is missing in a lot of people even billionaires.
