Pad Thai
Kelly T.

Was pleasantly surprised by the reviews for this place so far and saw that it was new. I'm very cautious about thai places because not every place lives up to my taste, but this place was definitely it! Pad Thai (4.5/5): Gave us a hearty amount of peanuts and lime! Sauce was thick but also the perfect amount of wetness, we loved the sweet, tangy, savory flavors of it. Chicken was also cooked very well and was tender upon bite. Panang Curry (4.5/5): I don't often get curry but I really liked it! It was on the sweeter side but had a nice coconutty flavor and was delicious with the soft jasmine rice.

If you're looking for your new favorite take out spot for Thai Food in Santa Ana, then Krua Mar Thai is what you need! Starting with the appetizers: The Bomb Chicken Wings has the texture of Korean fried chicken with bold Thai flavors, just a little spicy but very flavorful! The Larb Salad is refreshing and satisfyingly filling, perfect for the summer time! Main Dishes: The pad Thai is the best pad Thai I've had, it's not super wet and the noodles are perfectly chewy! The drunken noodles have the wok flavor and spice that you're craving from a noodle dish! The Panang Curry is creamy,a little spicy, and very delicious as it pairs perfectly with a side of rice! The Chinese broccoli with crispy pork is extremely addicting with the wok fire taste and crispy pork to soak up the sauce! Overall, the food is a 10/10 and you can definitely tell that the chef takes pride is his craft! This spot is a take out only but there are a few parks near by that you can go eat at!

Spicy Fried Rice

This place is a hidden gem. It's a ghost kitchen in Santa Ana for takeout only. This is my go to Thai restaurant when I am craving thai food for takeout. Thai food is one of my favorites and I'm honestly very picky about it, but this place hits the spot. My go to orders are either the spicy fried rice or the Panama curry chicken. For $14 they pack the box with the rice, it is packed with flavor and has a good kick to it. The Penang curry is KILLER. The curry itself is very creamy and has a perfect amount of spice. It also has a nice lemongrass taste to it, which is a super nice touch. A lot of restaurants around the area make their curries watery, but this one is nice and creamy - easily one of the best curries I've had in OC. Their drunken noodles are also delicious. This place has yet to disappoint, highly recommend if you're looking for great Thai food.

Found this spot on ubereats and was craving a quick lunch. It comes out of a food kitchen so theres only takeout and delivery, but man was it delicious! When picking up the food i was greeted by a nice old lady who seemed to be the owner. I only sampled the pad thai but the flavor was perfect to my palate sweet and spicy. I will be back to try all of their other dishes!

Authentic and Delicious Pad Thai with Plump Shrimp

I spied this restaurant on my Yelp app recently when I had a lunch hankering for Thai food. As I scanned through the nearby restaurants, this place immediately caught my eye. 5 star rating?!? Now that's impressive (A feat not easily accomplished for most businesses) as I perused the menu I saw there was a Bogo deal on pad thai, I figured that was a no brainer so I went with that. Since it was lent season, I opted for the shrimp and I was good to go. When my order arrived, it came neatly packaged with utensils, condiments and the restaurant thoughtfully included extra limes per my request and provided me with a tasty complimentary dessert. As soon as I lifted the lid on my order, I could tell I was in for a treat. The noodles were glistening with that fresh off the wok aroma and appearance that makes you drool as soon as you see it. They packed crushed peanuts and a lime wedge on the side and everything imo looked so mouthwatering good. Proof was in the taste and texture however, so I went in for my first bite. Holy smokes! Easily the best Pad Thai I've had in a long while! The perfectly cooked noodles were coursing with robust tangy flavor and the shrimp were fresh, plump and delicious. I simply had no complaints. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for high quality, good value and great service. They will not disappoint Happy Eats!

Pad thai, pad see ew and red curry
Kyoung K.

My husband ordered from here via doordash and their food items are tasty. This seem to be a new place with reasonable price for thai food. We ordered the red curry, pad thai and padsee ew. The red xurry had a nice kick and wasn't drenched in oil. It was light and pound of flavor. It actually reminded me of the curry I had when I went to Thailand. The pad thai was flavorful in every bite. Hands down they took the time to make sure these came out right! Definitely coming back and eating at the restaurant.

This may be our new go to spot for thai. All the dishes were really good from one spot. Normally the pad thai is better but pad see ew isn't and vice versa, but everything from here hit the spot. The crispy pork in the spicy fried rice was indeed crispy and still had bite the next day even after microwaving. The bomb wings is probably one of the best Asian style wings, never had thai, but the sweet with super crunch crispy even when glazed, was amazing. The deep fried basil was a very nice touch, it's like eating thai basil air chips when eating with the wings. Definitely try them out, ill definitely keep coming back.

SUPER Bomb Chicken Wings

First of all, this is a ghost kitchen. Make sure you go on their website and place your order. If not, just call to order. When you get to their place. Go in and ring their bell. Our order came out in 20 minutes. Met the chef and owner Vit ( my apologies if I spelt your name wrong). We got Shrimp Tom Yum soup, Bomb Chicken Wings , Pad See Ew and Shrimp Fried Rice. Everything we got were super tasty! We would definitely come back and support this small business. Highly recommend

We were seated right away. The space is narrow and only has several tables for dine-in. I think that there are probably more people who order for pickup because a lot came in to grab their food during our entire visit. It seems they have a good amount of regulars too. Almost like the Cheers bar in MA where everybody knows your name. Kinda nice actually. What we ordered: 1) pad see ew with crispy pork - 5/5. The kids loved this so much we needed up having to order two. 2) garlic salmon - 4/5. Served over a bed of veggies. This one was à la cart so we had to order a side of rice. It's enough for one person. This was covered with garlicky goodness. My son was wanting more. 3) Panang curry - 5/5. Not pictured here. One of our guests started to devour that dish before I could even take a photo. Sadly, they weren't familiar with me wanting to take a picture. The kids were like "oh no. We don't touch our food before the little photoshoot" LOL. Overall, we really enjoyed our food. I'm not in the area frequently, but if I was around and wanted Thai, I would definitely come back for more. Service was great and staff were attentive and friendly. What more could you ask for?

Well, I guess it was bound to happen. While my food adventures in OC have largely been successful,…read moreit was inevitable that I'd end up coming across a place that so many folks like that just didn't hit the mark for me. However, I never would've thought that place was going to be Siam Station. After hearing good things about their spot in Cupertino/the Bay Area from several friends, it felt rather fortuitous when we randomly came across their original location - and with no line in sight! Inside, they've got a cozy sort of vibe and it's cool how they have some outdoor tables set-up as well. As for the menu, it didn't seem all that extensive at a glance, but it has all of the staples you'd expect to find among their appetizers, soups, salads, fried rice, stir fried noodles, noodle soups, curry dishes, entrees, and desserts. -- ZESTY WINGS - Deep Fried Chicken Wings Topped with Crispy Basil and Served with Chili Sauce Easily our favorite dish of the night. The wings were really crispy on the outside and oh so juicy on the inside. Even though there wasn't much of the sauce, which was flavorful but not that spicy, it was fine - the wings were still great without it. -- KHAO SOI with Chicken - Yellow Curry Broth with Egg Noodles and Chicken and Served with Red Onions, Lime, and Pickles Ehh...this was okay, I guess. On the plus side, the chicken was tender and I thought the broth was pretty good - not the best I've had, but better than most. That said, I didn't love the egg noodles, especially the crispy ones after they had soaked up the broth. -- PAD KEE MOW (Drunken Noodles) with Crispy Pork - Flat Rice Noodles Stir Fried with Spicy Basil Garlic Sauce, Bell Peppers, Tomato, Sweet Onion, and Thai Basil I was super excited for this, but it was disappointing. The first thing we noticed was how pale it was and, sadly, the taste matched. Whether it be their garlic sauce or some chilis, this needed more. As for the pork, it was definitely crispy, but a few pieces bordered on dry/burnt. -- MANGO STICKY RICE A little hit, a little miss. The mango was fine (decently sweet, soft), but the sticky rice left us a little wanting. Mainly, I didn't love the glob of coconut cream, was it was pretty thick and viscous, which gave the rice a weird texture/coating to it. As far as service goes, it was uneventfully good. Although there was one point where it was hard to hail someone, it was mostly because the restaurant got increasingly busy and one of the servers was trying to help a group sort something out with their order. Otherwise, our food came out relatively quick and the workers were rather efficient with everything. Despite how we left feeling bummed out by our experience, it had more to do with being underwhelmed than the food actually being "bad". Admittedly, we came in with high hopes/expectations from all of the hype we had heard and it probably didn't help that we had gone to Manaao the night before, which is one of my favorite Thai restaurants anywhere. What's more, I wonder if we just didn't get the best that Siam Station has to offer. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to coming back to find out (and potentially writing an update), but perhaps I'll just try my luck at their spot in Cupertino that my friends like so much.

Upon entering, you…read morestep into a very welcoming dining space with lots of tables and seating, even with an extended dining room in the back! The staff was friendly and quickly greeted and guided me to my reserved table. The space was cozy and warm while having a minimalist vibe, but still had that small business owner feel to it. The menu had so many food options, more than some of the other thai spots around in OC. Here, you'll find some more rare dishes besides your more common and popular noodle and curry dishes. Dishes we ordered: - Crab Noodles: this was probably the most popular one for the table! Amount of crab was pretty good for the value and noodles were perfectly sweet and savory with the fried egg. Would definitely order this again! - Panang Curry with Chicken: this was also probably one of the best panang that I've had! The chicken was also very tender. Medium heat was the perfect amount of space that packed flavor with just the right kick to it. - Creamy Udon in Tom Yum Soup: just a little mild for those who don't want anything too spicy. While the crispy pork had good flavor, the pieces were a bit hard to chew. - Pad Thai: not usually my go-to dish because it's more sweet than savory, but this dish was pretty good. - Egg Rolls: perfect to share as an appetizer! Filling was well seasoned and rolls were lightly fried for a good crispy texture. With so many popular thai spots around OC, it can be tricky finding one that checks all the marks, but this one might have it all! Now I just need to make sure to save stomach space to try their mango sticky rice...

The Pad Thai was my favorite of the night. The flavor was so well-balanced -- not overly sweet, not too tangy, and the savory notes came through perfectly. The noodles were cooked just right and every bite felt comforting without being too heavy. You can tell they paid attention to the sauce ratio instead of drowning the dish in it. The calamari and shrimp with egg yolk glaze had that addictive crispy texture while still staying light. The egg yolk coating added richness without overpowering the seafood, and the sweet chili dip on the side tied everything together really well. The BBQ ribeye was tender, flavorful, and paired nicely with the fresh greens and dipping sauce. It had that smoky charred flavor that makes it hard to stop eating piece after piece. Overall, this meal felt satisfying without any one dish overpowering the others. Definitely one of those spots where you leave already thinking about what you want to order next time. Sadly, I didn't have enough room for dessert, but the mango sticky rice is definitely first on my list next time.
