    bamboo chicken

Been coming here for many years! Even during busy hours there's always had plenty of seating. Usually not too loud and clean interior. Also big parking lot in front. Our go-to's are: pad see ew and the pineapple fried rice. This time we ordered: - pad kee mao: popular dish for a reason! Not too salty, has a mix of chicken and seafood. On the milder side but pairs really nice with the thai chilies on the counter. - bamboo chicken: our first time trying this dish. Was a little salty for our liking so I don't think we would order it next time. Vegetables and chicken were really well cooked though. Definitely recommend a side of rice if you order this.

Plastic in our pad see ew

Found plastic in our food. The pad see ew was salty, the pad Thai was bland and the noodles were stuck together. The coconut soup was extremely sour like Vietnamese hot and sour soup. The wontons had a tiny pinch of meat inside. The icing on the cake was finding plastic in our food.

An amazing, unassuming gem in Irvine. My favourite Thai food spot -- no social media hype, no frills, just kind staff and awesome food.

I haven't been here for a few years. We decided to have dinner here tonight while we were in the neighborhood. Food was as delicious as I remembered. Not sure why the low ratings on Yelp? We ordered the combination fried rice and chicken curry with bamboo shoots. Fried rice came with beef, pork, two shrimps, and fried eggs. That was very flavorful and so tasty. The chicken curry was perfectly seasoned and the chicken was tender. Wish they put a bit more bamboo shoots. Overall, it was a great meal. Restaurant was full for a Sunday late afternoon/early evening. Service was also good.

Friendly and good service. Was a little bit of a wait but nothing too crazy. The food is quickly prepared and piping hot off. Definitely can taste all the deliciousness the dishes have to offer. My favorite was the pad see eww. That's a staple I try when going to any Thai place. The pad Thai also had a flavorful taste as well as the combo fried rice. The restaurant itself was clean and not loud.

Stopped by for a casual dinner during the week. The plaza itself can get hectic at times but there was plenty of parking when we went. The inside is quaint but clean and we were seated immediately. The fried rice was tasty but it would've been perfect if it was cooked just a tad more. The noodles were seasoned well and was a healthy portion. Service was quick and efficient. Solid Thai spot, could see myself coming back soon.

This is a small little Thai restaurant in Irvine. It's very casual. The servers were nice and friendly. The menu is simple. We ordered beef pad see ew, house fried rice and angel wings. The food was ok. In an area where there are so many options for Asian food, the flavor really needs to stand out otherwise it's just mediocre. The taste was ok. I was hoping for it to be more flavorful. The angel wings were densely packed and dry. The fried rice had more toppings than rice and the meat on it was tough. I've had better pad see ew elsewhere. Overall, the experience was ok.

This is a very casual restaurant and seemed pretty popular on yelp, so I decided to try it out. I came here with a friend early on a Saturday night and was able to be seated immediately. However, the service was a little slow. It took awhile to get our food and it seemed like quite a few tables were also waiting on their food too. I ended up ordering a phad see iw beef. It was not bad but not amazing either. However, they gave a generous amount of beef compared to other restaurants. The price was also not too expensive as well. Overall, I would come back again.

As a huge fan of Thai cuisine, I've found that it tends to be either absolutely excellent or a total miss .I've passed by Thai Café many times and finally gave it a try. The interior is simple and cozy. We ordered catfish, shrimp fried rice, and shrimp Pad Thai. The catfish was outstanding--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The Pad Thai and fried rice were just okay. Portion sizes were generous, and the staff was kind. While the dining area was quiet, there were plenty of delivery orders going out. I'd come back just for the catfish!

Food was just ok. I was expecting it to be more flavorful. Drunken noodles lacked basil. Service was great I would rate the servers 5 stars super nice and pleasant. They served the food pretty quick. Decor is lackluster. Simple. Mango sticky rice -rice was over cooked and the mango was not thinly sliced like the dish calls for.

Decor- 4/5 Cute and like the decor Very cozy and small Service-4/5 Attentive and kind Food-3/5 Tom ka chicken soup- 5/5 I loved the mushrooms and chicken, could skip tomatoes A bit sour but delicious Steamed spicy whole fish- 2/5 asked for it nonspicy Fish was tender and cooked well but the amount of garlic was SO overpowering I couldn't taste much else

3.5 Stars...the reason I'm pushing this to a 4 stars is because I grew up in the SGV where there are more Thai options available with in a small area. This place is good, but I've definitely had better without going to Thailand. I have been getting take out from this place for years and have actually never dined in until recently! The service was great and attentive even though it was somewhat busy. What surprised me was the the dining area was really well lit. All the dishes were delicious, especially the green curry which is something I always get when I see it, I was told it doesn't come with rice, I responded with a WTH look, she then said, "You can eat it with the pineapple fried rice." I think that would just be weird. How does a curry not come with white rice automatically, that's just nickel and diming customers on a whole different level, It's like going to Jimmy John's and they say the bread is a separate order Portions seems slightly larger dining in than when I get it in a box, might have to dine in more often now.

We love this place!!!!!!! Hello, can someone post the latest menu please?

They don't have a website, you must come in

Anyone know if they are open for dining inside yet?

Went there three days ago and they are still not doing indoor dining. Thai Kitchen on Barranca is owned by the same family and they are currently back to indoor seating.

Anyone know if this place is still doing business? I tried calling today (Sunday, March 28, 2021) at 4pm and no one picked up. Called 3 different times. Online searches show business hours are correct and should be open...

    Yes they opened

Do the close early now or on Fridays? I went this past weekend at 530 pm and it was closed.

Take out service only since the pandemic started

Anyone know if they are open to dine in?? The phone # is busy....

They are not open to dine in. Only togo orders for now.

Did this place close? I keep calling but get a User Busy signal?? Please let me know.

They still open. My wife had to call several times to place a phone order. They probably just busy taking phone orders.

Can I still order stuff other than what's on the lunch menu during lunch? Or is the lunch menu really the only thing I can order from during those hours? I ask because I wanted some Tom Yum hotpot and they didn't have it on the lunch menu.

I think they will, I wanted the trout one afternoon and they totally hooked it up I'm sure they would do that for you too!

Why it closed? Does Anyone know? Thank you

They are open , just very busy

Does anyone know the phone number to this restaurant? I called and I get a busy tone.

Well, I guess it was bound to happen. While my food adventures in OC have largely been successful,…read moreit was inevitable that I'd end up coming across a place that so many folks like that just didn't hit the mark for me. However, I never would've thought that place was going to be Siam Station. After hearing good things about their spot in Cupertino/the Bay Area from several friends, it felt rather fortuitous when we randomly came across their original location - and with no line in sight! Inside, they've got a cozy sort of vibe and it's cool how they have some outdoor tables set-up as well. As for the menu, it didn't seem all that extensive at a glance, but it has all of the staples you'd expect to find among their appetizers, soups, salads, fried rice, stir fried noodles, noodle soups, curry dishes, entrees, and desserts. -- ZESTY WINGS - Deep Fried Chicken Wings Topped with Crispy Basil and Served with Chili Sauce Easily our favorite dish of the night. The wings were really crispy on the outside and oh so juicy on the inside. Even though there wasn't much of the sauce, which was flavorful but not that spicy, it was fine - the wings were still great without it. -- KHAO SOI with Chicken - Yellow Curry Broth with Egg Noodles and Chicken and Served with Red Onions, Lime, and Pickles Ehh...this was okay, I guess. On the plus side, the chicken was tender and I thought the broth was pretty good - not the best I've had, but better than most. That said, I didn't love the egg noodles, especially the crispy ones after they had soaked up the broth. -- PAD KEE MOW (Drunken Noodles) with Crispy Pork - Flat Rice Noodles Stir Fried with Spicy Basil Garlic Sauce, Bell Peppers, Tomato, Sweet Onion, and Thai Basil I was super excited for this, but it was disappointing. The first thing we noticed was how pale it was and, sadly, the taste matched. Whether it be their garlic sauce or some chilis, this needed more. As for the pork, it was definitely crispy, but a few pieces bordered on dry/burnt. -- MANGO STICKY RICE A little hit, a little miss. The mango was fine (decently sweet, soft), but the sticky rice left us a little wanting. Mainly, I didn't love the glob of coconut cream, was it was pretty thick and viscous, which gave the rice a weird texture/coating to it. As far as service goes, it was uneventfully good. Although there was one point where it was hard to hail someone, it was mostly because the restaurant got increasingly busy and one of the servers was trying to help a group sort something out with their order. Otherwise, our food came out relatively quick and the workers were rather efficient with everything. Despite how we left feeling bummed out by our experience, it had more to do with being underwhelmed than the food actually being "bad". Admittedly, we came in with high hopes/expectations from all of the hype we had heard and it probably didn't help that we had gone to Manaao the night before, which is one of my favorite Thai restaurants anywhere. What's more, I wonder if we just didn't get the best that Siam Station has to offer. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to coming back to find out (and potentially writing an update), but perhaps I'll just try my luck at their spot in Cupertino that my friends like so much.

They ran on the sweeter side so I had to add a bit of water to dilute but otherwise, pretty strong and tasty! We loved the shrimp fried rice and pad thai but it was a mistake to get it with the pork belly. The pork belly had very crispy skin and the meat itself was super dry. It was hard to chew at times and I ended up not finishing. The pad see ew was a lil salty and greasy but still delicious. I definitely wish that was more explicitly stated as the surrounding area and crowd, especially coming later in the evening, can be a toss up. I would reccomend delivery--as it seemed there were lots of DoorDash individuals! Again wish they stated that. Second, our food said it would be done and ready for pick up at 9:45. It wasn't, and we ended up waiting another 20 ish minutes. Because it's take-out style and not customer service based when your order isn't done when they say it will be --there's no one to talk to which poses another issue. Though not our first choice we wanted to try it out considering the place is open until 1am and had good reviews and nothing too specific (so here I am :)). We've had all kinds of Thai and the food quality was around low average--definitely not worth the hassle and wouldn't come again. $40 for two noodle dishes without delivery. The Pad Se-Ew was okay with a weird after taste and the PadThai was lacking flavor and sauciness? It was very dry and bland. Could be good in a midnight Thai food craving pinch if delivered. Overall it's a no from us. Bumped up one star because they gave us a nice note and chip bag, that was kind! TLDR; It's a takeout-only spot in a shared kitchen (not clearly advertised), pickup felt sketchy late at night, and the order was ~20 min late with no staff to talk to. Food was below average--Pad See Ew had a weird aftertaste, Pad Thai was dry and bland. $40 for two noodle dishes, not worth it. Might be okay only for late-night delivery in a pinch. Almost like the Cheers bar in MA where everybody knows your name. Kinda nice actually. What we ordered: 1) pad see ew with crispy pork - 5/5. The kids loved this so much we needed up having to order two. 2) garlic salmon - 4/5. Served over a bed of veggies. This one was à la cart so we had to order a side of rice. It's enough for one person. This was covered with garlicky goodness. My son was wanting more. 3) Panang curry - 5/5. Not pictured here. One of our guests started to devour that dish before I could even take a photo. Sadly, they weren't familiar with me wanting to take a picture. The kids were like "oh no. We did have to wait a good 10-12 minutes for our table even with reservations, but the lady handling the waitlist was so sweet and kept us updated often when a table for us would be available. Once seated, we noticed the plates were an inconsistently cleaned and had to ask for new sets. Our group opted to do family-style dining so we each ordered a dish and we all shared. We ordered: pad thai with shrimp, tom kha with chicken, BBQ ribeye, moo tod, ong choy, spicy crispy fish filet. We also ordered the coconut custard, fried bananas with ice cream, and mango sticky rice for desserts. This restaurant was awarded a 1-star Thai Select so I had high expectations going in that we would be served authentic Thai cuisine. The flavors were definitely well-balanced, well-seasoned, and embodied the essence of Thai cooking definitely pretty authentic. I just have to critique the fried bananas a bit because they came in egg roll wrappers and not the coconut sesame batter that they normally are coated in. Overall, food was good and so cheap that I would definitely stop by again.

It has a thick, heavy base that's very similar to a soup curry, and the quality of the ribeye was top tier. It was super tender and delicious! 8/10 Egg Rolls - These were just okay. Heads up that they are veggie egg rolls. I didn't actually order them, and I wouldn't get them again next time. 10/10 Thai Ice Tea -This was perfectly sweetened and had a great taste. I would definitely order it again! Mango Sticky Rice - I am not a huge fan of this dessert in general so I will hold off on a personal rating. However, my friend thought it was delicious and finished the whole thing in one sitting! Cost - Pad Thai (Beef) $22.00, Khao Soi Noodle Soup (Sliced Rib Eye Beef) $22.00, Egg Rolls $11.00, Thai Ice Tea $6.00, Mango Sticky Rice $13.00.

That being said, I still love the little store and the neon signs they have hanging remind me of the street food scenes when I travelled to asia. The vibe of the place is really chill yet at the same vibrant and bustling like how it would be if you were at a street food stall. The waitresses were sweet and consistently check in on us too. The quality has not changed and is still easily one of my top picks for when I'm craving Thai food.

There is literally no parking...so they offer complimentary valet parking!! Amazing!! We got seated right away..it was 6 on a Thursday and there was a steady flow of people. The dining area was nice and cozy with a large fireplace as the central focal point. You weren't overhearing other conversations and the lighting was nice and soft. Cloth napkins and table cloths were a really nice touch. Especially when the prices averaged 20-30 per plate. Depends on what protein you get ...our squid pad Thai was $20 (5/2026) and it was a huuuuuge portion. Sooo worth it!! The tom kha soup pot was also a huuuuge portion for $18. A real value!!the vegan in our group was beyond happy with the selection-pretty much the entire menu...plus the vegan dessert options were more than expected. All the food was fresh and so delicious!! Our server, Yesenia was the best! Sooo sweet and patient. We'll be back!!

They also have lunch specials w an extensive menu. I read a review from someone who passed by everyday and was gushing about how amazing this was, me too I have passed by and was tempted to go in but my husband said why, we could go to Little Saigon closer to Huntington Beach. I was impressed by how beautiful the huge mural was in the parking lot which btw was ample, there was no need for a valet. I was surprised to be greeted by a Hispanic man and our server was also a Latina, the interior was so beautifully decorated like a shangrila, better than any Thai restaurant I went to in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket. We ordered the beef satay, Penang chicken curry and drunken noodles, the portion was enough to feed an entire village! LOL! every entree came w rice, salad. Unfortunately everything was so sweet I thought I ate a dessert, I can't understand why everything is so sweet in 90% of Thai restaurants in USA, that is not the case in Thailand. The chicken in the Penang curry was so bland like coming out of the freezer not real chicken and the curry sauce was sweet so I could not eat it, the beef was chewy. The drunken noodle taste was Ok but it was also sweet. Over all it is 2 stars for me but I rate this 3 stars bc my husband needed to gain weight and he ate everything so the extra star came from him. I'm afraid the chef might also be a Hispanic man if all the help was so the food was not authentic, I don't think I will come back here. There is an good Thai restaurant in Garden Grove, read my reviews to find out which one.
