Chicken 9. Pho Chicken
Emma O.

This is the worst Thai / Vietnamese food I've probably ever had! I got the rice soup and the chicken pho.... I don't know what they use for their meats but the chicken and the beef were very questionable. Very rubber like and not meat like at all. The rice noodles were not very good either. Broth wasn't bad. I was really excited because they labeled their pad Thai as gluten free and have dietary labels on their menu.... This was a big bummer. At least the herb garnishes were fresh.

Pad Se-lew Dinner (Beef)

I order via DoorDash so I'm not sure about what this location looks like, parking, etc. However, my food was ready pretty quickly on a Friday night - prime time to order dinner. I ordered the Pad See Lew with Beef and the Asian Chili hot wings. It was a lot of food! The pad see lew had lots of sauce and beef. The noodles were al dente style cooked but good. The chicken wings were cooked well - crispy outside with juicy inside - however, they were not spicy or had much taste. There was siracha and hoisin container (like what you'd put in pho as dipping sauce but I did not use it.

Panang Curry Dinner

I read mixed yelp reviews before heading to this restaurant. I gathered info on the best and worst dishes. So, I sadly didn't order pad Thai, but I did order pangang curry from other's recommendations. It. Was. Wonderful. The spice level was mild-medium and it was just enough heat to give that slow burn between bites. Of course curry is always in huge portions so I ate it the next day and it was even better. 5/5 for this dish. Next, we had the orange chicken. I saw 0 reviews for it but we decided on something sweet to offset the spicy, savory curry. The chicken seemed of good quality and it was perfectly crispy. Every piece had a crunch coated in that sweet orange glaze. It was perfectly cooked and we were pleasantly surprised. The broccoli was perfectly cooked but a little cold when we got it, 4/5 for this dish. The service was prompt, drinks were filled immediately, and the waitress even turned the tv off behind me when I asked to turn it down some so we could not talk over it - which I thought was a kind gesture. Inside it's a pretty clean and basic restaurant. Perfect for a hang with friends or a quick lunch.

Chicken Coconut Soup

Got the chicken coconut soup on a cozy fall day. I love a good broth and it really hit the spot :)

Quick service and friendly staff. The beef had a weird taste to it though. Very chewy consistency and just not the best. The combination noodle bowl was good, shrimp flavor was in point! Pho was good too.

Yummy pho on a rainy day while my husband had eye surgery nearby. The service was quick and the pho was perfect!

Truly terrible food. Pad Thai was awful, green curry sickeningly sweet, Tom yum bland. Would not go back.

The pad Thai had more onions than noodles. And don't get me wrong I love onions but it was excessive.

This is my family & I 2nd time here in Denver and after finding this place the 1st visit we make it a point to come to this location. We're located in Georgia so I think we have a good sense of good Chinese. I always get the Mongolian beef with fried rice (no egg; I'm allergic) My husband always gets the General Tso chicken with the fried rice and he ALWAYS orders this and never has a complaint. My son gets the Sesames chicken also with fried rice and it's sweet and crunchy as they fry the chicken to mix in their sauce and it's worth every penny. Every time! Service sometimes can be short in communication but expected especially when they're working all day and don't have time to eat but their food never misses! It's never crowded or busy when we come no matter the time of day, never noisy always sit at a booth. I highly recommend this place I will always come here when visiting Denv

I am so glad that they are so consistent and have not changed recipes or adjusted seasonings. Ordered our two favorites - pickled pepper beef and mapo tofu. Then the string beans and a new dish - sauerkraut fish filet. The sauerkraut fish filet reminded me of the Vietnamese catfish soup but no sweetness added. Very good dish and will def order again. Also love that they have quality rice here.

We ordered the fried tofu (with peppers and onions), orange chicken, fried fish fillet, and veggie delight (mixed veggies). The fried fish fillet was definitely the standout. Perfectly crispy on the outside with a light, tangy layer of sauce that added flavor without making it soggy. Easily my favorite dish of the meal. The fried tofu was also really solid and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The peppers and onions complemented it well without overpowering the tofu itself. The orange chicken was okay. I tend to compare orange chicken to Panda Express (probably unfair, but it's my benchmark), and this one didn't quite hit that same balance of crispiness and sauce. I think if it had a bit more meat within each piece, would be better. The mixed vegetables were decent but not something I'd order again. They felt a bit drenched in sauce and didn't have much depth in flavor. One of the highlights of the visit was meeting an elderly woman who helps out when it gets busy. She mentioned she was the former owner. She was incredibly kind, and we ended up having a really nice conversation in Mandarin. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable. Otherwise, really nice venue with lots of space and tables. Waiters always refilled my water, which is a good plus. Also gave me fresh rice when I took the leftovers to go. Overall, a solid meal with a couple standout dishes. I'd definitely come back for the fried fish fillet and tofu. Will be back to try their other dishes.

Service was quick to take the order, refill water and clear out empty plates/steamer baskest. The dishes coming out of the kitchen was at a more erratic pace, but it's all about the food. Mapo tofu was good, with a light slick of chili oil. The flavors were spot on with little chunks of fermented salted broad beans. The heat was also moderate, but it did have a kick as you were eating it. That signature mala numbing spiciness started building, but not hot enough for my palate. Green beans were also nice and tender. Sometimes when they come out the fryer, the skin can be a little leathery, but wasn't present here. BBQ Buns were very soft and tender, loaded with BBQ pork. The shao mai had a nice bouncy texture and cooked well. Shrimp Lo Mein had the flavors of the Chinese American classic, it looks like the noodles were hand made too. Only miss was the shrimp dumplings. They were too close to each other and they stuck together. The wrapper was also overcooked, but somehow the shrimp was not. Nearly impossible to pickup with chopsticks, because the wrapped just fell apart, even with a delicate touch. Worth a stop and probably tastiest Chinese food in the neighborhood. It was getting crowded and there was a wait by the time we left. However it was Denver restaurant week, so not sure how it usually is during the week.

The chicken soup dumplings, pork potstickers, and the ice cream was all very good! I wasn't such a huge fan of the tufu pork belly noodles. Lately it feels like a lot of restaurants are charging more while giving less, and it's getting harder to find places that actually care about the customer experience. Unfortunately, this was another one of those experiences. We ordered three side dishes and three drinks, and the bill came out to around $100. Two of the three sides were served cold, the dumplings at least came out hot, but they were pretty mediocre and nothing I'd order again and drinks were extremely over priced. The waitress was fine, no real issues there, but it did feel like the food may have been sitting in the kitchen too long before it hit the table even though the place was empty. At the end of the day, it's hard to justify paying that kind of money for cold, underwhelming food, then feeling awkward about the tip because the experience just wasn't good. I won't be back. If I had known this is what the experience was I would have definitely gone somewhere else. As an added bonus I felt like crap afterwords, I think it was because of poor quality ingredients. My aim in writing these reviews is to highlight the restaurants and businesses that truly take care of their customers, to give people a heads up about the ones that clearly do not prioritize quality or the customer experience, and to express myself in a world where it often feels like there is very little room to speak honestly about paying top dollar for mediocre experiences. Very disappointing.
