Reservations are strongly suggested and well worth the wait. Crazy combinations, flavor bombs throughout and a culinary delight you won't regret. Tonight, we sat at the bar and watched the magic happen. These guys are cranking out amazing and delectable treats you won't forget. The Uncle salad was a great starter with charred cabbage, lemongrass, mint, cilantro, arugula, and peanuts lightly coated in a Thai coconut dressing. A slight burn only leaving you to crave just one more bite, ha! The fried soft shell crab in a bao bun with green papayo slaw, coconut mayo and cilantro nam prik was sweet, perfect crunch and memorable. Two for two with one dish left. The cold spicy sesame noodles with seasoned chicken, granny Smith apple slivers, arugula, cashews and nanami togorashi, a perfect closing dish for an exceptional meal. The service, food quality, flavors and preformance from the bar seats were second to none. The concept, portion size, flavor and cost were a real treat in the big city food scene of Denver. The confirmation email stated that the order would be ready for pickup at 5:57 p.m. My husband and our 6-year-old son arrived at the restaurant at the scheduled pickup time, only to be told that the order would not be ready for another 10 minutes. Because our son was hungry and becoming upset, they decided to drive around while waiting. When they came back approximately 10 minutes later, they were told it would still be "a while" before the order was ready. They ultimately waited in the restaurant until the food was completed at 6:32 p.m.--35 minutes after the promised pickup time. As a result, our toddler ended up going to bed 30 minutes later than his normal bedtime. What has been even more disappointing than the delay itself is the lack of follow-up. Since the incident, I have contacted Teriyaki Madness 3 separate times seeking assistance. I received 2 responses from the Franchise Services Coordinator indicating that he would contact the Applewood store owner to review the situation and assist me. It has now been 10 days since my initial outreach, and despite multiple follow-ups, I have not received any communication from the Applewood store owner. Delays can happen, and I understand that restaurants get busy. However, the complete lack of response and customer service after the fact has been extremely frustrating and has left me feeling that our concerns simply do not matter. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location.
