It's a no for me. My 1st time eating at this restaurant. I've had Pad Krapow on the east coast and San Francisco (the best I've ever had) and this is the worst. Chicken had no flavor, no effort cutting up the peppers and hardly any basil which is the staple of the recipe. This was nothing more than bland chicken stir fry drowned in nasty sauce. I have been wanting to try this place for a couple of years now. Today, I took my mom for lunch to try it out and unfortunately, I was disappointed. This place had great reviews so I thought it would be on point. I got the l lunch barbecue chicken which was tender but very bland even when added sauce to it. The salad dressing was horrible, so I did not eat my salad. I told the waiter I did not like my food and he accommodated me by letting me pick something else. I, ordered the Thai pod noodles with shrimp and peanuts which was just ok. It was decent but nothing to rave about. The service was good and the atmosphere was ok. They need to upgrade. Date: June 9, 2023 Took my son for his first dental visit at Blooming Smiles which is located in the same plaza and noticed there was a Thai restaurant. Since we were already passed his normal lunch time, we decided to stop by to eat in case he fell asleep on the way home. Walked in around 1230 and there were two other parties seated. The waiter seemed pretty irritated so we just sat down on the side to not bother anyone since I had two babies with me. He offered us water and menus and then left. We ordered a chicken pad Thai (12.95$) , chicken pineapple fried rice (13.95$) , and of course I had to get the mango sticky rice (9.95$). When I first saw the prices I was amazed! It's rare to find average priced Thai food nowadays. I was afraid it wasn't gonna taste good but boy was I shocked! Everything was amazing!!! I gobbled up the entire pad Thai and sticky rice and still wanted some fried rice even though I was full to the max! Mangoes were also perfectly ripe and sweet. Coconut on the rice was perfect, not too sweet and not over powering. The only thing that is somewhat lacking is customer service. The two waiters barely said anything and didn't have a smile or any look of happiness on their faces. Paid the bill and tipped them 20% just because it was so good and headed out. Said thank you and they didn't even say goodbye or thank you. . Also I overheard someone ordering off a lunch special menu but we weren't offered any so I don't know what's on it. I'm not really familiar with Thai food, so we went with recommendations from Blue, the "super chill" manager. We had the House Butter Sauce shrimp (10/10), My husband says he will never order anything but this! Pad see ew (10/10) for me, I loved the Chinese broccoli and special brown sauce so much. We also got the Pad Prik Khing with brown rice where I found out I actually do like red curry paste. Thank you Blue for introducing me to something new! Topped all this off with a refreshing Thai tea with lime (Blue's recipe) that cools the mouth after all the spice of the meal. Can't wait to return, I've got a list of all the dishes I want to try. I have eaten at this Thai restaurant maybe 40 times over a five year period. It used to be good. Now they absolutely, positively cannot follow directions when you leave them directions on Uber eats or one of those food apps. It's unbelievable how unresponsive they are and incompetent they are. They disappoint me and I will never eat there again. Think twice before ordering because they very well might not pay attention to your instructions. The food here is pretty good. I loved their pad thai. It wasn't the absolute best but it was up there. Initially, the Tom Kha Chicken Soup was my favorite as I began to taste it. I loved the flavor and the chicken. They did leave a bay leaf or something inside of it which I was absolutely not a fan of. There was a bad flavor coming from that herb/spice (pretty sure it was bay leaf?). Biting into it was just gross. That ruined the soup for the both of us and we gave up on it. Unfortunately, that ruined our taste buds for the rest of the meal. We liked the Panang Curry, though the only complaint was it did not have enough meat and was more watery than we thought it would be. I would say the star of the show was the pad thai. The restaurant seating inside is small with another seating area outside. The service was quick but not very attentive. Our drinks went dry and we had to ask to have them filled. My orders are usually to go, and this is another restaurant that does not try to bully, coerce or guilt you into leaving a tip for a to go order. Came here during covid19 for takeout. Was able to order it on yelp app and I love it, it gives you a really good estimate and status update on your order. I got here a little earlier than noted in the app, but the waiter was attentive and told us our order was coming up. Just FYI - the app tells you a time range of when your food is ready - this place has my food read towards the latter end of the time range. We waited indoors, there was another customer waiting but we were more than 6 ft apart. Got the pad see ew and ginger garlic chicken lunch special, both very good! I can't tell you how amazing this place is - it's definitely one of the best Thai places you'll find in the valley, but the people that work there go above and beyond. I had back-to-back issues with the delivery through DoorDash (during the holidays, I might add), and despite having made my order TWICE, they made it a THIRD time and the Blu (not sure I'm spelling that correctly) that was working that night delivered it personally to me. I'm not typically in their delivery range - only via DoorDash - but since it was delivered poorly twice already he came all the way over after they closed up for the holiday and hand delivered. My go-to dishes are the House chef's choices, wonton soup, pad see ew, and the Pad Thai (especially street style) is great. Also one of my fave Thai tea and Thai coffee! The small store serves good Thai food. I thought the layout of the store made me feel very crammed, but the food is very nice and well presented. I knew I'd enjoy the chicken pad thai the moment I laid eyes on it. Portion size matches its price point. Nuts were placed on the side of the dish, so I could choose when to eat it. Best part, the food was warm until I was finished. Also had the pad see ew from here for takeout. The chefs are nailing it. Only wish they had more staff. I think they could benefit by making the interior more aesthetic and having a server readily available. I recall there being 2 servers on every occasion I've been there. The servers were communicating with the kitchen, working as cashiers, getting takeout orders and working the floor. They can benefit from splitting the workload among more staff members which would lead to better-quality customer service. read more

Terrible. I was so disappointed. The food was terrible. The service was mediocre at best. We ate there last night and my stomach still pangs from the ill prepared food. We walked in around 7:40 pm. It was our second time and the first visit was good but I think yesterday was our last. The restaurant had only a few other patrons but as the evening went on, more folks came in. We were greeted very quickly and seated (all good signs). There was a young man and a young woman helping all the tables. We asked if we could order our soup and appetizer right away- we ordered tom yom with chicken we asked for it mild with heat on the side; and spring egg roles. The gentleman also took our drink orders: two kid waters, a sprite and water, and hot water. About 10 minutes later the kid waters came; after an additional 5 mins the hot water came; after another 5 mins the sprite- never brought a regular water. Fine. The egg rolls were brought; then 10 mins later the soup. The soup had chicken which was hard and rubbery. Wish we just had it as vegetable tom yom. It was the highlight. The cabbage in the egg roles smelled off. Once we got the soup we ordered: green bean beef; pad sew eew, and seafood stir fry. Each. Dish. Came. Out. Separately. (Hope the various periods gave off a disjointed effect because that was the feel). It was bizarre AND the rice was brought out separately. And I am talking about at least 7 minutes between each dish. So weird. I'd never ever had this happen to us. Okay now let's talk food: the pad sew eew was drenched in oil and the noodles were chopped up. You know when you come to the end of a bag of something and you're left with crumbs, yes that's what it looked like. Chicken was hard and appeared to be over boiled and chopped up in the oddest if shapes. Like they were parts and pieces left over. Then the green bean beef, again, disappointing. The green beans were good. The beef was cut where no two pieces looked alike and was tough and rubbery... like the chicken. The seafood. Okay, things take a drastic turn for even worse: the highlight here was that the fish is not fresh and they put immitation crab! It was a disaster. The sauce was think and pasty. Oh, and to top it off, my daughter took a bite into the clam to pull the meat and she found a crab inside the meat!!! I kid you not. It was just the straw that broke the camel's back. Fear not! If you are a Thai food lover like we are there are two other options in the area (Chutamas and Lum Ka Na) that are consistently good. I am shocked this place is well reviewed. For the cost, you can definitely find better! read more
