Found out this place was actually a bar they were just about to close the kitchen when we came in, but they were very nice to just do our order which is why they get five stars just going out of their way. Everyone really enjoyed their food the fried tofu was really soft in the middle. I didn't like that but other than that, everything was great service was great cool vibe and ambience. Definitely have to come back here for a drink

A gem of a place. Transported me back to the 90s, Thai punk palace with 90s soundtracks. Patrons all very cool authentic, a scene but not too sceny. Upstairs has a tea room with a total chill vibe. Food here was super super good, was throughly surprised! Ask for a shot of Ya Dong! Service was very chill, super nice.

A Thai angel getting her wings.

Vibey neighborhood gem with excellent food and great service. Jaime and Bella are exceptional hosts and will not lead you astray. Don't sleep on the hot toddy or the shot of herbal delight yah dong. Will be back with more patrons. A spot to be shared with the masses. Come eat!

10. Pork Jerky I don't even like pork and this was bomb!!!

I was at another restaurant and was very disappointed. So my boyfriend and I went on yelp during the dinner to go somewhere else. We came across Angel Thai. I am so satisfied. I feel like we should've ordered the whole menu. Jamie is really nice and the sauces are homemade. Each dish comes with a different one as well. They also have chakra inspired type wellness drinks alcohol free as well. Apparently this place turns into a huge party scene as well. I want to come back because they have a spiked Thai tea I didn't get to try. They were also just featured in the La times. I read her story and so inspired. I'm also a reiki practitioner so it made eating there that more special. I cannot wait to come back. My bf and I are already sad we left!

Chill neighborhood bar vibes

The pad Thai was absolutely amazing and every bit of what I had the taste for, bartender was very attentive and polite was working the entire bar and booth by herself and still made sure to check in every few minutes, I will for sure be coming back to try more dishes the kitchen closed as I finished up my pad Thai, looking forward to my next visit here.

The…read morerestaurant itself is beautiful -- modern, fresh, dimly lit in a good way, perfect AC, and one of the best ramen spot ambiances in LA. Everything feels polished and upscale without trying too hard. The food was excellent. The gyoza is absolutely a must-order -- crispy, juicy, sizzling hot, and easily one of the standout dishes of the night. The traditional ramen was also amazing with a rich creamy broth, perfectly cooked noodles, soft egg, and thick slices of tender pork that melted apart. You can tell they put effort into presentation and quality here. For dessert we got the banana pudding kakigori and it was honestly amazing. Super creamy, light, and refreshing with shaved ice texture, banana flavor throughout, whipped cream, crunchy topping, and a caramelized banana on top that made it stand out visually too. It did take around 10 minutes to arrive after we finished eating, but honestly it also made it feel like the dessert was being prepared fresh instead of sitting pre-made somewhere. Overall this is definitely more of a full dining experience than a quick ramen stop, so come prepared to spend some time here. Still, the food, desserts, and atmosphere make it worth visiting.

Service was good, attentive, and quick. Ordered the tsukune buns, edamame, classic tonkatsu, and ban ban noodles which were all hits. Their yuzu highball is also spectacular, strong, but smooth. I don't know how they make it but it was so addictive I had to get another. Don't skip out on their desserts either. I tried the mango kaki-gori which was great, but the tokyo banana stole the show. SO SO good. Overall, every aspect of this place is incredible and I'll be back whenever I can!

I had placed a phone order, for pick up; upon arrival, I found the service was prompt. I saw my food ready to go, just past the main walk-in area. Almost immediately after that, I was taken care of by the host and on my way. I've been waiting to try this place for ages so on the drive back to work I was excited to steal a piece of meat from the bag. Initial bite flavor was good, meat was tender just a bit on the chewy side.. I wasn't bothered by it too much as I'd have to leave it in an oven warmer at work. Trying to keep food warm, in doing so, I knew there'd be only two possible outcomes, melting tender or either tough & dry. So, the dish of meat and rice sat in the warmer for almost an hour hour and a half. The downhill slope.... Set the "meat " on the veggies and began to eat. Meat after meat, I kept experiencing the same exact texture. It was the same exact rubbery chew, I initially tasted. Each and every piece was the same exact flavor. There was no peak, there was no pitfall. If you cook or grill, you know this is a red flag. Normally, consistency would be a good thing, a Master craftsman type experience, but this was NOT it. As go on, I get the sinking feeling, this can't be real meat. I lock in, the deeper I dig, each piece looks the same, broken apart the same, tastes the same, just various shapes. They can call me crazy for this one - I'll stand by it. Something is not right here. I'm not even going to throw it away. I'm going to study it for the next few days and post an updated review. I hope I'm wrong but as of right now, I'll never revisit this place. Too freaky of an experience. We

There were some interesting characters day drinking, and it was great people-watching with lots of regulars. The interactions were priceless. The bartender asked a regular if he'd left his helmet, and when he showed it to him, the regular quipped, "My head is bigger." The helmet looked like a kid's size, and the guy did have a small head. It was a funny interaction in a room full of characters, like something out of "A Confederacy of Dunces." The bouncer checking IDs outside, sporting a Santa hat, noticed my wife's upcoming birthday and wished her a happy birthday. It was a really nice touch! We will definitely be back for drinks and to people-watch the interesting characters!

To start, maybe my expectations were a bit high, but I was surprised that no banchan (side dishes) were served. That's usually something I look forward to at Korean restaurants, so it felt like something was missing. We ordered the kimchi pancake and the stir-fried kimchi with pork belly. The kimchi pancake was a bit too oily, and we had to cut it ourselves, which made it a little less enjoyable. The pork belly itself was decent, but it felt like you had to order additional items like tofu or fried rice to make it a more complete dish. It was also pretty uncomfortable inside--the space felt really hot, especially since the food was being cooked right in front of us on a portable stove. It didn't seem like the AC was on or working well, which made the experience less enjoyable overall. Considering the overall experience, the pricing felt a bit high for the level of service and quality provided. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but there were a few things that made it fall short of expectations.
