This place is good if you're looking for a couple of drinks. Don't bother coming here if you're hoping to enjoy a game on the few, and small, TV's. Service is fairly quick and the food is good, but it's just a place. "Meh" at it's very best. read more

I've learned to loosen up and not expect much from chains in order to have a good time. There's only so much a place with a bike on the wall can do. On a slow Saturday afternoon, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Our server was really nice and took our orders promptly, and checked on us 3-4 times throughout the meal. My Jack Daniels chicken sandwich is a fat girl's dream, with cheese, bacon, and onion straws. I thought it was decent, even if the chicken breast was kinda small. Oh and the honey mustard sauce turned the bun into a soggy mess. But the French fries were crisp and seasoned perfectly with salt and pepper. The hostess was also nice, opening the door for us on the way in, and then smiling and thanking us on the way out. read more

Horrible customer service. Got there right as it opened. Host, waitress and bartender were extremely rude. Asked to speak to a manager and the bartender couldn't find one. We were the only customers in there. read more

Ordered ahead of time still had to wait 30 minutes to then be handed cold food. They were like we can make it again. Like really...no I will just take the cold food. Smh yes make it and then apologize. Dine in is better do not recommend carry out. The girl at the front desk was very nice. Not her fault. Food finally came after over an hour and it was still not hot and I couldn't even bite through the potato skins. Yuck read more

I ordered a beyond meat burger with no cheese with fries simple right...They found a way to screw this up 3 times. When they first gave me my food the beyond burger had cheese on it so they had to remake it. The second time they gave me my burger I look at the patty and I still seen cheese residue as if they just scrape the cheese off the top of it. On top of that my fries was cold, hard, and salty. My fiancée had a cuss out the manager for them to get my order right. If the workers was more focused on pleasing customers than being on their phone during working hours this wouldn't never happened. read more

Awful service. I placed an order online at 5:00, email says my order will be ready at 5:35. I'm familiar with here so I go to the grocery store and give myself a 15 minute cushion because I'm aware of the poor service. I waltz my ass in here at damn near 5:50. Guess what? They say my order isn't ready! WTF? It's not packed in here. Who needs to be fired because they aren't paying attention. So now I'm sitting here watching these people scramble because they know they messed up. Also the pick up person disappeared in the most? After she just told me they had to cook my food and when I asked for my money back they claimed my food was done and she had to go get it. Clearly that's a lie. CLEARLY THATS A LIE! Nevertheless this meal will be on the House. By any means necessary. Ridiculous. read more

This restaurant's food is a joke. What pics you see on the menu is not what you get. My family met there today for birthday celebration of our nephew. Let me make this perfectly clear! The only good thing was our server she was excellent Ricky was a great server. She very attentive. Not her fault that food was I got the shrimp and salmon. The shrimp were dry and salmon was barely 2oz. FYI last time I will visit that one. read more

Listen, this place is just....ugh. If you come here during lunch time (11-3), don't even expect to be served in a decent time. They're always taking forever around this time. You'd think an establishment would make sure to have enough staff to service a lunch rush. The waiters are okay, but they try to finagle you out of money. If you order the endless app, you get charged for another if someone else eats off your plate. First of all, I didn't know that. Waiter never told us. Secondly, they were made aware we only ordered one app but refused to remove the other app charge from the receipt. Annoying! It's safe to say I won't come here anymore. This isn't the first time this happened. Now the manager is getting rowdy, and being aggressive talking about police. We're talking calmly to him, but he's got an aggressive tone. Don't come here. That's all. read more

NO COME HERE! So TERRIBLE experience. I brought my grandpa to meet this place for the first time and guess what? I had a cockroach walking around my table before my meal. I ask yo talk with the manager and he even could say nothing about it. I work in the restaurant industry so I was hoping maybe an apologize or a totally discount of my meal (I didn't even eat it cuz this animal was gross). But, when I asked for the check they game me 50 off about a meal that I didn't touch and you guys have a terrible infestation problems. No come back here!. By the way, my server was good (just in case) she was kind so, nothing has to do with her. There are some pictures that I took about this animal walking around my table. read more

This place turns me off more and more as time goes on. The service at the bar is always slow and the servers are inattentive. The food is the same as it always has been at most Fridays I've been to. I usually get standard appetizers, so it's pretty hard to mess those up. The drinks are usually pretty watered down, even when I pay full price. It's bad enough that their happy hour drinks are watered down, but they should definitely make make a decent drink for their customers who pay full price. I literally wanted to throw up when I went to use the restroom. The men's bathroom was filthy! It is evident that no one cleans the bathroom regularly. It's a shame that this has to be the Fridays that serves the Silver Spring community. This location clearly has poor management, and no one is holding them accountable. It think I'll be taking a hiatus from this place until there's some king of overhaul. read more

This is a late review that I started and forgot to finish. Visit was in early July. Came in with a guest on my lunchbreak. Stood in the lobby for literally 7 minutes before anyone addressed us as a manager talked on a phone and a hostess walked back and forth from the dining area to the lobby refusing to make eye contact or speak. Was finally seated and waited an additional 10 minutes for someone to come over and take our order in a restaurant that was less than half full. After 10 minutes a guy that was training a young lady on how to use the cash register/ordering system, comes over and announces he is actually our waiter. Did I mention we were on our lunch break? 25 minutes after being seated, we finally got our meals in a half empty restaurant. I gave up on trying to get a refill for my tea. The only plus was, the waiter allowed my guest to order her refills on her AYCE appetizers all at one time. We would have been there all day if he had not done that. Did I mention the restaurant was over half empty? P.S. one family came in for a celebratory event and was seated in our section and left after their orders were not taken after being seated for 15 minutes. Please note, this TGIF is in a business area and most folks want to go in and get out in a reasonable amount of time. There are quite a few other restaurant options in the area. I won't be going back to this location. read more

The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the food was edible. My mom and I went here looking for lunch and the first thing that happened when we walked thought the door....was nothing. No one was there to greet. We were asked if we just wanted to sit in the bar area after we told 2 people we wanted to dine in. Service was so bad. She dropped off our food and that was the last of her. I asked a waiter if he could get my mother some water which was actually the best part of service. He was very prompt and kind. Asked our waiter for our check and that was it. She never came back during our meal to ask how our food was....refills were never asked about...the music at the bar area around 3pm is too loud. We got looked at funny as we left. The burger was okay, a bit greasy flavors very good. Service was very slow and lack of respect to customers because their was only 2 servers for the whole restaurant no hostees or table cleaners in sight. Servers have to be over worked and you can tell by the lack of attentions, lower food quality and long waits for anything. So we arrived for a mid-day meal and walked out. The management does not know how to manage or simply has no support from ownership. Here are the facts: 1. The hostess on duty greeted three sets of customers with inhospitable attitude. The restaurant was barely a quarter full. Other staff were standing around. Test the hostess stand was jammed and the hostess insisted on starting a wait of "at least ten minutes." If she had been friendly maybe this would have been acceptable but given that she could not smile, walk with any urgency or care that 12 nice customers were waiting to be seated, she simply represented a belief that the customer does not matter. 2. Multiple front of the house staff were simply standing around doing nothing and never stepped in to help the hostess. Perhaps they did not want to be there either and knew the manager on duty could care less. 3. When I asked to see the manager on duty and politely told him why we were leaving and I wanted him to know since there was no manager in the front of the house, he responded with "you don't even know why I am in the back of the house." I did not debate the question and just walked out. The answer is clear enough. Management at this location prefers to hide in the back of the house and avoid customers. This was an ok location but I must say it does not deserve any business whatsoever. The customer is not first here. The management hiding from customers comes first. And the employees suffer because no one is training them to run a customer friendly establishment. read more

This Fridays is a J O K E. I get that you want to cater to the crowds on Friday and Saturday nights but not only is the music WAY TOO LOUD - and I mean, bursting your eardrums for no reason loud - but the service is legitimately terrible. Tonight was especially bad but it's always bad, let's be honest. After 20 whole minutes of no service, a random waiter came up to us (and we thought finally, attention!) and asked if we'd been helped and then when we said no he basically was like oh... well I won't be any help either. Needless to say, another 15 minutes went by and I still had 0 drink, 0 food, and 0 hospitality. If I could give it less than 1 star then it would get -1,000,000 in my book. Bye forever. read more

So we get to Friday and it's moderately crowded! Theres a 25 min wait! So as we wait the full 25 min a party of 5 comes in just like my party and decided that they was gonna use grandma as a excuse to sit at a table! Now if I hadn't already seen that she could stand I wouldn't have said a word! We get called for our table and as we are walking to our table the other party with grandma walk ahead of us because they know our waitress and gets sat at our table! Now on top of all that look at the food! Dry ass sliders, pasta with no sauce, salad with no dressing!! Cheese burger with special sauce I bet! I have been to rhis location many times. Usually I sit at the bar. This time I met with former co-workers from previous job and we sat the table in the bar area, instead of the bar. The manger or assistant was notified that we were and had been waiting for a while ( almost 12 minutes). The manger came and spoke to the table next to us, for 5 minutes, for some odd reason. He never addressed us. Normally, I would have left. I do not believe in bad service. However, my party lives over in Va and we did not want to waste time going to another restaurant. In a last redemption effort for the restaurant, we moved over to the bar. OMG...prompt service. I have had ok service here but never this bad. Food is fine. read more

Great service great service, quick, clean, and it made me like TGIF all over again. My friends and I have been joking for years about this Fridays location "as bad as the service is we always come back". This was when we were still in high school and Fridays was a convenient spot and we really had no choice. After all the horrible food and customer service this last and most recent experience has ended my love-hate-hate relationship with Fridays. This morning, 12:30 AM my friends and I go to Fridays after a music festival. We walk inside and we're just standing at the front waiting and looking stupid for around 7 minutes. Waiters are passing us and trying not to make eye contact with us. We watched as one waiter went to the back and when she came back out she had a host with her who then told us that they weren't seating anymore people in the dining area and that we have to go to the bar. Fine, but why couldn't anyone tell us that, why was someone else brought out to say that? At the table another wait began. The waiter came 10 minutes after we got to the table. Took our orders. 2 wing orders, 2 fry orders and a salad. There was still an expected wait for the food because it was so late. Wings came out, one order of fries and the salad was the worst salad I had in my life. Just because it's late does not mean that customer service is irrelevant. read more

My fiancé and I came here after to work to grab some dinner. Our waiter was awesome. He checked on us several times and made sure that we had our drinks. The issue was the cooks in the back getting my fiancé order correct. She ordered a Strawberry field salad with no cheese, no dressing. Ok...they bring out her order, it has dressing on it. We ask for another one. We get another one with dressing on the side.....and on the salad. We ask for another one. We get another one with no dressing but it's missing the walnuts and has PLASTIC ON IT!!! PLASTIC!!!! I'm going to pause right here.....who leaves plastic on the food. You hear about fish dies because of plastic thrown into the ocean...but given to humans as part of the food?! THAT'S CRAZY!!!!!!! Anyway, a manager comes to us and says that he will get us another one. He comes back and says that it'll be free and everything. What did they do?! GIVE US THE SAME SALAD THEY JUST GAVE US!!! But this time they pulled out the piece of plastic and poured walnuts on it. This guy made it seems like a new one was being made. I'm not an ass but he said "brand new salad" and it took like 10 mins to get back the "new" salad. Seriously...this sucked. Again, the server was cool (Burak...seriously..he's great)...but the cook staff and management have no INTEGRITY!!! read more

Friday's is dead! Sad to say. It was a decent chain years back. That said, this review reflects on This specific Friday's as well as Friday's overall as my experience has been the same across more than just this one. The food is terrible now. I ordered a truffle burger. The waitress (who was excellent) asked how I wanted my burger cooked. I asked for medium. The problem (and irony) is that you can't cook frozen patties that way so when the burger arrived well done I was not surprised. What I thought was an attempt at a decent presentation turned out to be because the burger could not stand on its own. It was too slippery. The burger came with snow white lettuce and a soggy bun. The melted cheese had also seeped onto my lukewarm fries. The burger also left a funny after taste long after my meal was finished. You add this to recent experiences at other Friday's, one of which included a bar tender at the Friday's in White Marsh, MD that preferred to serve his "regulars" 3 and for 4 times before getting to me and my friends, and you can see why Friday's is unfortunately now dead. read more

Literally every time I come here it is a disaster. I want to say "haha jk", but I have been here maybe four or five times and each time a tiny little piece of me dies. The staff is mainly teenagers and nobody seems to take much seriously. I guess because every day is Friday there. Basically, the underlying problem at this location, for me, has always been a strong lack of discipline with the staff and really poor situation management. One time, we made a reservation over the phone with a hostess for our friends birthday. Inexplicably, he wanted to go to TGI Fridays to celebrate. We arrived only to find out from (presumably) a different hostess that they don't take reservations, and that we don't know what we're talking about. Yeah, we must have called the Fridays in an alternate dimension where the staff knows what they are doing. They ended up seating the ten of us at two separate booths with a giant wall between them. We were forced to split our group in two. What a fun way to celebrate a birthday, by dividing their loved ones in half and shoving them into a couple of poorly cleaned booths. No apology for the inconvenience, no manager to calm us down- just the unrelentingly average experience of Fridays, with half as many people to commiserate with. Also, why can I not order a burger that isn't well done? Do their microwaves not have a setting for medium-rare? Incorrect food orders happens every time I go. I'm not one of those people who makes it a point to tell the server how "every time I come here they get my order wrong" because it probably won't stop them from screwing it up, and will probably just make them feel too awkward to come check on you after they inevitably screw your order up anyway. It really happens every time though. Probably the most fun part of coming to this restaurant is betting on which part of the meal they will get wrong, and having everybody win the bet because they mess up every course. This place is probably perfect for a younger crowd who hasn't figured out that you get what you pay for. If you just turned 21 and your overpriced Long Island is more important to you than your service or the quality of your food, this is definitely where you want to be. Not only are the Long Islands way overpriced, but those other two things don't even exist here. The best thing I can say about this restaurant is that they stopped coloring all over their uniforms with glitter pens. On the downside, now you can't tell immediately after walking in how immature and undisciplined this place is. You'll have to take a few steps over to the hostess stand to figure that out. read more

It took 2 hours for lunch! I have been here a few times with my coworkers. There is a girl there who is a bartender and works the high tops during lunch on most days for at least the past year. I think her name is Ayana (her name was on my last check but I know some places bartenders will only clock in under 1 name). She is truly the worst server EVER. As I have mentioned in my past reviews, I have worked as a server and I am pretty understanding because people have off days. Ayana always comes to the table after a good 5-10 minutes after you sit down. She NEVER smiles and always looks like she hates that fact that you are there eating and bothering her. She takes forever and always forgets at least 1 thing. Last time I went she charged me for a soda that I didn't get and completely forgot that I ordered desert. Worse is when I went up to her, she didn't even apologize for her mistake! Hey, you made the mistake not me. The MOST DISGUSTING thing that she did, which made me write this review, is she was rubbing her eye the WHOLE TIME she was talking to me when she brought me my new check. DISGUSTING! Something was wrong with her right eye and it was like shut, but she kept rubbing it. This is a BIG no no and totally grossed me out. And she never got me my dessert, I had to ask the manager to bring it out. WORST WAITRESS/BARTENDER EVER! read more

Let me start by saying that we had a 20 person reservation for 8pm (birthday dinner). We waited and waited and we weren't seated until 8:40pm. Half of our table showed up and we placed appetizer and drink orders. A couple minutes passed and everyone showed up and more drink orders were placed. By then, it was already 9. Let's just say that it took 20 minutes to get waters and it took longer to get a couple long islands. Appetizers didn't come out till 9:45pm and our dinner came out around 10pm. The servers were terrible! We didn't get refills on our waters, our food was like warm, and some of our orders were forgotten. We asked to speak to the manager about the situation and all he said was "okay, we will get them out as soon as possible". The manager didn't seem to care much and we even had one of our members drinking and she had to nibble on celery because it took one hour for her chicken and broccoli to come out. The service was just.. TERRIBLE! How can you have a large group drinking and not even have appetizers ready? I can honestly say that this TGIF IS SOME SHIT. Excuse my French but I cannot even deal with writing this review. Sigh, so let me continue.. The salmon with "fresh" salad and rice was terrible. The rice was hard and too sticky. The salmon was dry and it did not have much flavor. The salad was not fresh and the portion was just..unfortunate. Almost as if someone had spilled some tomatoes and baby strips of cheese. The Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta was okay. Not the best that I've had but it was edible. Sloppy presentation. To sum it all up for you..the servers were unprofessional and terrible at their job, the food was even worse, the drinks were all watered down, and the manager didn't seen to care one bit. Sigh, oh my goodness.. I swear this was by far THEEE WORST! I will not be returning! read more

This is about fries and why they matter. I begin with a confession: TGIF's Sedona black bean burger is one of my top vegetarian indulgences. It's really good! Really! And this from the folks who bring you Jack Daniels branded ribs! I'm awfully grateful that TGIF brings its A-game to the vegetarian options. I've been to this location more than any other and have had a wide variety of strange service occurrences, everything from orders not being right to no silverware to inaccurate checks. So there's a good bit of disorganization here, but frankly everyone has been nice and nothing was ever really a problem. I've noticed the amount of fries has decreased over time. This to me is more serious. Consider: big chains have some really large margins. Think about the spread they earn on non-alcoholic drinks alone. The prices here are inching high-ward and that's okay so long as they are otherwise generous with the customer experience. For example, it's more okay to charge $3 for a soda if it has free refills, even if you don't get $3 worth, because it gives you the option to have more of what you enjoy. Fries are cheap. TGIF is not increasing its margins all that much by skimping. Yes I know that with their volume the little things matter. But it reveals that they're nickel and diming me. Fry quantity is a sign of good faith -- it says, yes, we're making a profit here, but you're not going to leave wanting more of this really cheap thing that you enjoy. Skimping on fries is subtracting quite a bit of enjoyment on my part for a very small increase in their profit. Bad move. read more
