It was a packed Friday night when I went with me and my friends, waiter ended up being Ms. Jianna. Her service was to the T and she was quick on her feet! The food came out at a decent time and they just made eating out a big easier. The area we was placed in was a little spread out from people and That actually was the best thing ever. I'm not the biggest fan of being put in an overly populated and loud area when it comes to dining. I love every second of it and will be going back! read more

This Fridays was connected to the hotel I was staying in so it was very convenient. For a Saturday evening the restaurant was not busy at all. There were a few people seated at the bar. The service was okay. There were two young ladies working behind the bar. I was able to order quickly. My food came out in great time. Once I received my food I wasn't asked much how I was doing. My food was good for what it was. My soup however was piping hot so much so that I burnt my lips and mouth when trying to eat it. I didn't have high expectations. Fridays use to b our to go because we live so close, what has happened! The place is loud, service is very slow and the food is not the premium I remember.... we were there for dinner on a friday and it was not crowded? there was a group that was so loud, you would of thought we were in their backyard- I suppose the restaurant didn't want to say anything since it was a large group; but it was awful...we almost walked out because it went on for a while.... I know TGI is a sports bar, but we were in the dining area and not the bar area...COVID really changed the dynamics of customer experience and services... it's jus about filling a table now - 4get what type of service is rendered.... bye TGI.... off my list! read more

The location was convenient meeting up with a friend from out of town. Boy, do I regret going there. I should have realized things were not good when the parking lot and restaurant were nearly empty. The waitress was great - very responsive and pleasant. The food was terrible. I said to my husband later that we would have been better off stopping at Dunkin Donuts and picking up a breakfast sandwich and drink. At least they would be edible... Too bad how much they have declined over the years. They used to be packed during events at the Bob or sporting events at UD. And the food was good then. Sad. read more

Waited 25 minutes for drinks after ordering. Food started to come out after about 45 min. Some dishes were warm at best when they arrived. Finally cancelled remaining dishes that had not arrived. No drink refills or other check ins from waitress. I don't recommend this place. There are better choices in the area. read more

Terrible. Service, food, personalities, everything. The only reason this place is open is because it's attached to a hotel. Stay away!!!

When I was visiting the area on vacation, Fridays was one of my favorite restaurants. However, the management and staff need to be fired. There is a sign on the door that says NO alcohol; beyond this point, you can't take alcohol outside the restaurant. So why did I watch the bartender sell three beers to a man, put them into to-go cups, and then let him walk out the door with them? All I can say is WOW, never again. They had a sign at the front door saying to be patient because they're short staffed, but we actually got seated right away. My friend tried to order chips and salsa, but the waitress said "Actually, we're out of chips right now." Not sure how you're out of chips, but OK.. We both ordered drinks - Tequila Sunrise for me and Diddy on the Beach for my friend. My tequila sunrise had no grenadine, which was funny because my friend ordered a 2nd drink & that Tequila Sunrise was all grenadine and tequila (???). Diddy on the Beach looked nothing like the picture on the drink menu and didn't even come with the sliced pineapple. I ordered the mixed appetizer sampler (picture below). Wings were old, over cooked and barely sauced. Potato skins were... well, you can see in the picture for yourself The mozzarella sticks were the only edible thing on the plate besides the celery. Friend got the Million Dollar Cobb which actually looked pretty tasty. Bill comes & my friend laid $100 bill on the table. The waitress asked if we wanted any change. Ummm.. yeah ma'am. The woman that was the hostess was a diva and acted like my white party of 5 would not want to wait 30 minutes for a table. She continued to glare at us constantly like we did not belong. The bartender was wonderful. Super pleasant and kind. Our waiter was nice but kept deflecting things to the kitchen as if everything was their fault. My chicken sandwich was good. Fries were cold. We had Kaitlyn as our waitress and let's say her service was sub-par. First of all, we ordered an appetizer and got it about 3 minutes before our actual meal came out, so we already started off bad. After she dropped off our food, she did not come back see how our food was, or if we needed anything. After about 5 minutes of having our meals, we needed refills, and my fiance needed more dipping sauce, so unfortunately we had to stop eating since our food was relatively spicy. We waited another 10 minutes of our food just sitting while we looked around aimlessly for our waitress who was no where to be found. Finally she stood up from one of the back booths where she was sitting, once our food was cold and our appetite was gone. Long story short, i wouldn't recommend coming here unless you're going to sit at the bar. My fiance and I will not be returning. read more

I miss the flair of the 90s, but still enjoy coming to TGI Friday's. This one was attached to our hotel, so we stopped in for a late meal and drinks. Our waiter did a nice job serving our large group. The food was a bit below average from other locations I've been to. Also, the restaurant doesn't seem very clean. TGI Friday's is a reliable and consistent chain. The food at this location is good and comparable to the others. I have always received amazing service from the staff at this location! As a student at UD, friends and I would often make the trip to south campus to visit TGI Friday's for their amazing all you can eat appetizer special. read more

Out of the three Friday's I frequent, this one on 896 is by far my favorite for a few reasons. 1. The bar is huge and there is always a lively crowd. 2. The bartenders are attentive and know how to handle the large crowds. 3. Video bingo! The start time has varied between 6:30 and 7:00pm. There are three rounds played each with a theme. The first person to get bingo wins a 10.00 gift card. The crowd is always into it and it's so much fun hearing everyone sing along. One of my girlfriends ordered the endless apps which now includes the entire variety. One thing I did not like was the BBQ Flatbread. While it looked appetizing it tasted mostly of onions. Even after picking them off the flavor stayed behind. My other girlfriend had the sad misfortune of sitting next to a nice enough guy who just so happened to wolf down said appetizer and proceeded to torture her with his horrid breath. She finally had to turn her back to him. Not good Friday's especially when people are trying to mingle. read more

We were at the tgif in Newark de last night and the service was awful! It took forever to just get drinks, then to get appetizers, and then to get our meal. In addition there was no checking on us or getting refills,etc. I will not be going back there! I chalk it up to poor management? Food was okay but not worth the hours it took for the meal. read more

The food was ok and the server was nice but it was a comedy of errors. The wrong burger was brought out for one of our party, drinks were wrong and when desserts arrived 2 were wrong. The replacement burger took 20 minutes and the replacement desserts took over 10. The server was nice but in over his head! read more

My husband & I went for our 2 year wedding anniversary. Lupe was our server. Very very sweet young lady. She constantly checked us out despite how busy it was. Answered all of our questions, welcomed & thanked us for coming. Not something you hear that often. The food was delicious and she carded for my Long Island Iced Tea(also very tasty) & made me feel young by asking. Thank you lol. The atmosphere it was very dim and romantic bathrooms were clean. Customer service is terrible. The place is dirty. Went to the men's room and the toilet was overflowing and there was poop on the floor. When the server delivered the coffe we ordered, the rim of the coffee cup had lipstick stain on it. The place is utterly gross. They should just close. Not recommending this place ever. read more

I will start with saying the service here is VERY slow! While our waitress was friendly she seemed to be chatting with other co-workers more than worrying about her tables. We ended up being here for about 1 1/2-2 hours, was not what we were expecting. When it came to the food though a majority of it was cooked well and tasted great. The one exception would have been our boneless wings since they came out on the colder side. If they would get the service together I may come back, but I won't be chancing it anytime soon read more

So I stopped in at this TGI Friday's because I just dropped my daughter off at field hockey camp and was waiting with one of her other teammates who had a later check in. It was lunchtime, we were hungry, it seemed like the right thing to do. I view a place like Friday's like I do a Dunkin' Donuts - all I want is consistency and good service. We were seated quickly and our waitress brought us our drinks right away. Not a bad start. Then we put in our order and waited, and waited, and waited some more. It wasn't like we had a complicated order: a Jack Daniels burger with fries and a chicken Caesar salad. Food finally arrived it was actually pretty good and did what it needed to do, filled us up. While I don't like to eat at a place like Fridays when I'm traveling, because I can eat at one at home, I took this opportunity to just get some food. They did a good job though the service was a little slow but that wasn't the waitresses fault. Overall a decent lunch fairly cheap and we were out pretty quickly. read more

Why is curbside taking so long. Waiting over 10 mins. Short staffed it seems and nor wearing gloves.

Wish I could give negative stars. I placed an order via Uber eats at 4 pm today and they cancelled it at 7pm. The order was supposed to be delivered around 5 and they just kept updating the order time. I understood at first because it's a holiday and they're busy - which is why I called the restaurant and confirmed with ANNE - that the order was being made. I spoke to her around 6:30, gave her my name and she said "yup we're just behind" sooooooo then why the hell was my order cancelled? This was supposed to be for my mom's mother day dinner. I ordered it from here in New Jersey since due to the pandemic I cannot celebrate with her physically. When I called the restaurant after they cancelled it they claimed they never got it. How can you start an order or work on an order you never got? Instead of lying just own up to what you did. No wonder this place has such a shitty rating.
