We visited here on a Saturday for brunch, ambiance I would give a 4 food I would give a 3.5. Ambiance of the restaurant was nice, chic and comfortable is how I would describe it. They have a selfie wall, cute. The young man that greeted us could use some customer service training, he appeared to be a teenager; he was rude but wasn't welcoming. Our wait staff was attentive, we ordered a large cornbread as our appetizer, for our entree we ordered the grits with salmon & shrimp and the chicken and waffles. Our entrees came out first, the grits and salmon & shrimp was delicious, I kept eating off of his plate. My chicken wings were seasoned well, the waffle was tough, over cooked, however the flavor of the batter was yummy. I ended up not finishing my waffles, I had a quarter of the waffle, it was just to tough to get through. After about 5 minutes into eating, we asked about our cornbread, we were then told that it takes about 20 minutes to come out since that is made to order. That should have been shared with us at the start, by the time it came out we were almost full from our entree, we ordered it as an appetizer not part of our entree. The butter came out with a huge piece of butter on top, that could have been spread into the cornbread. We ate a small piece while there, it was good but we ended up taking the rest home because we were already full. I want to visit again, this time for dinner.

I have been wanting to try this place out for a while. I came on a Wednesday night and the place was not busy at all. I asked my server for a recommendation and she gave me two options. I decided to go with the small serving of corn bread and the jerk chicken Alfredo. The cornbread was good. A tad on the well done/dry side. The honey butter that it was served with made up for the dryness of the cornbread. Your eyes always will eat before you do. The pasta was served on a round plate. I think it would look more appealing if was served in a bowl. The flavor was there but visually could have been presented better. Overall I enjoyed my experience and glad to see a new restaurant in Wilmington.

Super cool spot!! Customer Service was very good. Staffed seemed happy. Decided to go on a Saturday morning to do brunch. I had already menu stalked and knew what I wanted to try.. I ordered grits with salmon and shrimp, cornbread, and Hot Honey Wings & also ordered the lamb chops with 2 sides. Mac and yams.. Overall, the food was amazing with only 1.5 dislikes.. The Yams were horrible. The yams were seasoned sweetly on the outside with the wrong ratio of sweet and upon biting bland inside. I'm not a fan. & Didn't like the shrimp that came in the grits. Everything else was amazing. The mac and cheese was cheesy, and the cornbread was fluffy. Wings were tasty and tender. I also had a drink which was well made. Cannot recall the name, but our waitress Tanya, who was super sweet, recommended it. I recall tequila and pineapple, lol Catfish and grits were also a good choice. I tasted my friend Catfish and would have chosen that over my salmon and shrimp selection. *As a foodie who loooves to eat, I also enjoy the option to order and taste multiple dishes** Lamp Chops were seasoned well and tender!! Super awesome vibe and ambiance there as well. I will return!! Thank you for good food and service and for making an NJ foodie girl happy!!

Let me start by saying the food was good!! The first thing i noticed that the presentation of the table was HORRIBLE! I only knew the waitress name when the bill came because she never told us. There was only 2 waitresses in the restaurant, with only had 4 tables filled, so there is really no need for the 1.5hr wait for food! This was my 1st time here & I was impressed at all!!

After having such a great experience with this place at happy hour, I decided to take the waitresses advice and come for brunch with my sisters yesterday. I must say, I'm glad I did. The bruch was even better than the happy hour. I ordered the crabcake deviled eggs, the catfish shrimp + grits, and a Mango Lemon Drop. Everything was a 10. The devil eggs were perfect! The catfish shrimp + grits was a combo I never knew I needed. Everything about it was amazing. The catfish was tender and perfectly seasoned. The shrimp were a nice size, and the sauce used for the grits was tasty. Of course I love my lemon drops but never had the mango flavor before. Im glad I tried it because it turned out being delicious. Ill definitely be returning soon!

Some of the best food we've had! A hidden gem that seems a bit overlooked? Our family had pizza…read more(the crust was perfect), penna Al la vodka (perfect), lasagna (the best), Gorgonzola gnocchi (balsamic drizzle- genius, and chicken limoncello (delicious). Every single thing tasted so good! Happily took home left overs. The service was great and friendly. It was a bit warm in the restaurant so it would have been nicer if the air was down a notch but it didn't ruin a good meal. We loved it!

After reading the reviews, we decided to give this place a try…read more Upon entering, the restaurant is small and casual, with plush black booths lining the leftmost wall and tables seating up to 2-4 people sitting by the window. The walls are red with a black wainscoting paneling and framed pictures, sconces, and a small wine rack can be found on the red part of the wall. The ordering counter is also nearby and has a display case with pizza pies in it. We were immediately seated after arriving and ordered the following: Medium holiday veggie pizza, which has mushrooms, spinach, broccoli, ricotta, green peppers, and diced tomatoes. We didn't realize that the pizza didn't have red sauce but we still liked it. Hubs said that he needs to read the menu closer next time when ordering pizza. This wasn't the first time we accidentally got a no sauce pizza. LOL. Daughter and I shared Vongole, which is linguini tossed with 12-15 little neck clams with your choice of white or red sauce. She chose red sauce. We also got a choice of soup and she chose pasta fagioli. She liked the clams and said that the entree was nice and saucy. I prefer white clam sauce, though. So, I will try that next time. Fried calamari- calamari golden fried squid with side of homemade sauce. I liked that the calamari wasn't breaded. This is my favorite type of calamari. We should've ordered linguini on the side and this was Hubs' favorite dish of the night. The place filled up quickly after we arrived. Hubs had been wanting to try Italian food in Delaware. This place is located in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. We were expecting it to be a fancy restaurant when we saw the exterior and were pleasantly surprised that it was a pizzeria. The place felt very homey and we loved it. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely return when in the area to try other items on the menu!

Alright, if you cant tell from the reviews this place is somewhat polarizing... I went here for the first time recently and felt mixed on the experience. On one hand I loved the lowkey, mysterious, hyperlocal, dive bar atmosphere. On the other hand it does have a bit of a genuine dirty feel that can be off putting. The bathroom in particular is really quite bad, the bar is a bit musty and just feels like it would benefit greatly from a good wipe down. Additionally, I can see how the laid back bartenders and overly comfortable regulars could be a bit intimidating to folks who go in expecting a 'normal' restaurant experience. Servers here will not wait on you hand and foot nor will they at most any other local bar/tap, its just how it is. When you go to a place like this you should understand your visiting someone elses world for a bit, it's not McDonalds or a fancy Italian spot. If local dive culture is foriegn to you or you don't like it you will likely not like this spot. All that being said I found the somewhat aloof bartender and local regulars to be quite charming, reasonably attentive, and all very kind. I ordered some drinks and food, the food was suprisingly good for what you might expect when you arrive, and the drink was fine (just ordered a bottled beer or two). I feel like this place deserves more than a 3 star rating, but honestly I have a hard time saying that my experience was anything special or above being "okay". If I were a local I could see being a regular here, most out-of-towners probably wont like it - that being said If your bored on a random weeknight and don't want to cook at home, stop by and give Dead Presidents a shot, it may surprise you. Ownership, I'd recommend a solid deep cleaning, otherwise I have no real notes.

Ohhhh, baby. This place is GOOD!…read more Upon learning that my local smokehouse had permanently closed, I went on a hunt for BBQ joints near my husband's job so he could pick up some take-out on his way home. Locale BBQ Post fit the bill. We called early to order ribs and sides, and by 1:15 they were already sold out of jalapeno creamed corn. So, we ordered a rack of ribs (to share), a side of mac and cheese, some cole slaw, and the meal came with a piece of cornbread. Everything I ate was awesome. The ribs were extremely tender and fell right off the bone. With a little sauce, they were perfection. The cornbread was also incredible. It was a little dry for my liking, but the sweet butter that came with it soaked right into the bread and made it taste incredible. The macaroni and cheese was pretty plain, but with a little crushed black pepper, it turned into magic. Even the cole slaw was good - and I am not a big cole slaw person. I finished my meal and was absolutely stuffed to the brim, and purely content. I will absolutely be eating here again!!

It pains me to give a negative review, especially since I've been wanting to check them out since…read morethe day they opened few years back. Service - wow could you be more indifferent? I came in hoping to be steered towards maybe some of their fast moving items or popular items, but no. I said I'm not sure what to get, and the gentleman walked away to go back to doing whatever he was doing. I ended up going with the 1/2 brisket. Hold on, ill be right back, I need to get a hunk of brisket out from my teeth. Phew! Ok back to my review. I was then asked what sauce I wanted. Since they have their own sauces, I wasn't sure which one to get so I asked for a recommendation and told the second guy I like sweet and spicy. So he grudgingly pointed to the list. Food - was really really really hoping the food would be amazing. Bc all they do is bbq, right? Boy was I off. Brisket was tougher than leather. How would you even serve this to someone? The strips cut were rock solid... dont even try to sell me that this is how brisket is supposed to be!!! Btw im struggling to finish this meal mainly bc it wasnr cheap and its food,, and i dont waste.. i might have to call my dentist after this struggle.. Their slaw was good and crunchy, hence the extra star. I'm good, ill stick to some of the other bbq places in wilmington. Food and service don't make me want to give them another shot. But you should give them a try, i hope your experience is better than that of mine.
